One night, when but a sliver of the moon was showing (the rest of the
orb deep in vacuum shadow), she decided once and for all that the moon
looked far, far too lonely, too cold. So, she reached out with arms of
gravity and pulled her faithful satellite close to her ample bosom,
snuggling it close to her warm and welcoming core, and killing trillions
in the process. She hummed a happy and gentle nursery rhyme.

The sun and Jupiter were furious, but soon forgave her, for the earth
had always been a tad unbalanced.
