I go to Starbucks for a scone
and double mocha latte
Five days each week, the cost adds up
But I get paid on Friday.

I bought a Chevy minivan
With easy monthly payments
I need to get the oil changed
When I get paid on Friday.

My little girl's in second grade
I'm saving for her college
She might not get a scholarship
But I get paid on Friday.

I'd love to quit the daily grind
And have each day be my day
But I would miss my weekly fix
Of getting paid on Friday.
