DUALITY

"It's a snake!" said the first blind man, holding
the elephant's ropy tail.  "No, a tree!" argued the second,
petting the rough-skinned leg.  "Perhaps a palm frond?"
queried the third, feeling the elephant's leathery ear.

The elephant, actually Rama in disguise, stood quietly for
this examination.  It amused him that the blind men could
observe minutiae, yet see nothing.

Because Rama knew that in an eyeblink,
scientists would be debating the nature of light.
"It's a wave!" one would claim.  "No, a particle!" another
would chime in.  

All the time, thought Rama, they would be feeling the
face of God.
