A minute later, my fax box hummed to life and a Vinson clone stepped out. "Let's take a look at those plans," it said. Clones are very businesslike. Fifteen minutes later, I understood the problem. The clone melted into sludge in the bioplasm recycling bin, and I started to draft a response to Vinson. Just then my fax activated again.
