SHOWDOWN AT THE LASER LAB

I remember the end of the lab feud.  Poor Vickers, the oldest and slowest
of the Nuclear group, lay slumped with his clipboard crimping his jugular.
The High-Energy Boys had struck again.  We swore vengeance.

We stormed their laboratory after sundown.  They were waiting.  Simpson
got holed by a dye laser, and a railgun-propelled paperclip unhorsed
Ellerbee.  The tide turned when, under the cover of Halon release, Injun
Bill threw their high-voltage breakers.  They fell back from a hail of
Thorium samples, and we strung up their section leader with his own bypass
cable.

Don't bring your maser to town.
