I am sorry, Captain.  I do not wish to hurt you, but my
mind is not my own.  I lost volition the moment the Ki
slavers boarded our ship.

What have they done to me?  On one level I see you, bound
and hanging from the rafters.  You are my captain; I should
drop this stick and rescue you.

But on another level I am five years old again in Tampico.
It is my birthday party, and my father has bought an
enormous pinata.  Hit the pinata, Hector! break it!

I am sorry, Captain, but you are full of candy.
