I don't know why; we don't bother anyone else, we aren't taking up space that someone else could be using more profitably, and we don't make television shows. But for some reason, we are subject to all kinds of covert and overt harassment from the Bythians. I had a friend who had started a decorative garden in the town of Rodukazha. It was on the outskirts of town, well off the side of the Line, and he'd bought three condensers to keep it supplied with water. The whole thing was less than four hundred paces along each side. He came to me and said that the local Bythian constabulary had been making veiled threats and pressuring him to fence the garden off and turn it into a game reserve for them to hunt in. He wanted me to help guard it. Well, we weren't exactly guarding it; we were maintaining a vigil with cameras on a live feed. I hadn't realised how serious it all was; while I was on duty, the Bythians came in, EMPed the cameras and then killed my friend. They just shot him and left me. It was like they were telling me that I wasn't important enough to be worth killing. I went to the Subordinator and filed a complaint, but as you can imagine, there wasn't any followup. My main problem is, however, I keep getting this awful urge to sell my story to the popular media. What should I do? regards and stuff, Garal, Cishyra The worst is not So long as we can say "this is the worst". - King Lear
