The best manpower of the Moscow Criminal Investigations Department (MUR) is involved in an operation to dismantle a gang of repeat offenders led by Igor Rybin, nicknamed as "The Grey", who are based in the tavern on Pyatnitskaya. The bandits commit break-ins, robbery and murder. One of their victims becomes the old Bolshevik Alexander Falin, who helps the police. Employee of MUR, Nikolai Panin (Victor Perevalov) goes undercover into the gang, gets hired as a waiter (introducing himself to the mistress as her lost half-brother), he is now "The Red". But then the unexpected happens - from the camp a bandit runs away who has the same name which he himself used for cover... At the same time a romantic side- plot develops between "Pashka-America" (the famous bazaar pickpocket) and newcomer from the countryside Alyona, whom he rescued when she was in trouble. The gang is supervised by the restaurant hostess along with her fiance The Gray. They are concerned because they notice a leak of information. The Grey requires Pashka-America to help find the police informant. The Gray's partner in crime Mikhail Lavrov, dubbed as "The Frenchman" undertakes the task, who is in possession of great intelligence and powers of deduction. A few people are under suspicion, including waiter "The Red", constant visitor of the restaurant Gramin, The Frenchman himself and Mikhail Ryumin, styled as "The Gypsy" - The Frenchman's former comrade-in-arms from the battles of the First World War and a former White officer, who did not manage to escape from Crimea during the evacuation of Wrangel's army ( "The last ship left Constantinople without me" - he says when he meets The Frenchman). Gradually the circle of suspects narrows, either The Frenchman or The Gypsy is the guilty party. Main driver of the action becomes the detection of the undercover agent. The Grey "trusts The Gypsy with his heart and believes The Frenchman with his head" and can not decide. It turns out that an agent of the gangsters is in the police camp. Head of Criminal Investigation Klimov suspects his deputy Zaitsev, a gentleman by birth and a former employee of the tsarist police. However he does not have the evidence. As the film progresses it becomes clear that Klimov is mistaken: the true agent is not Zaitsev, but Vanya Shlyonov, former Makhnov and longtime accomplice of the restaurant hostess, who is beyond suspicion. Meanwhile, The Frenchman identifies The Red as the agent, but Pashka America warns him, and Panin leaves in time. The police appears at the restaurant on Pyatnitskaya. The Frenchman manages to compromise The Gypsy and assure The Grey that he is the criminal in the investigation. The Gypsy is taken hostage. The gang tries to escape. Meanwhile, Shlyonov has a nervous breakdown and commits suicide in the building of the MUR. Shocked Klimov apologizes to Zaitsev. The basement where the bandits have fled is surrounded by police. Gray refuses to give up and dies in a shootout together with Klimov. The rest of the bandits are arrested. It turns out that the criminal investigation agent is not Ryumin The Gypsy, but instead Lavrov The Frenchman, who is a former tsarist officer and unlike Ryumin became a Bolshevik and Red Army commander then went over to the service of the police. At the end Pashka- America together with Alyona leaves to her village. ===== Vincent Pepe (Antony Varghese) is from Angamaly. Meanwhile, a team of prospectors led by a man named Benedict searching for red mercury at the behest of an unknown sponsor enter a mine in Russia, where they discover a secret stock of the substance. One of Benedict's team is unmasked as American agent Moira King (Amy Rider), but while a standoff between King and the Russians occurs, a giant robot hidden beneath the mine reawakens. King barely escapes while the robot, Kolossus, destroys the mine. Dr. Alison Gray (Illeana Douglas) proposes to the military the use of her newly developed sonic transmitters, which she believes can influence the shark's behavior, but is rejected in favor of a more aggressive plan laid out by her colleague John Bullock (Jeff Hatch). She is then summoned by tech mogul and environmentalist Joshua Dane (Brody Hutzler), CEO of DaneTech Industries, who is aware of the government's plans thanks to his infiltrating their communications out of distrust for their intentions. Dane suggests that they work together to stop the shark in a more humane fashion and protect the environment. Elsewhere, King recruits desk worker Spencer (Edward DeRuiter) to assist her in stopping Kolossus. Kolossus is discovered to be a mobile weapon of mass destruction created by the Russians during the Cold War, powered by red mercury and capable of multiple detonations. The fleet led by Admiral Jackson (Ernest Thomas) carries out an attack on the shark, but fails and Dr. Bullock is thrown overboard. Dane and Alison approach on Dane's hydrofoil and offer to assist using Alison's transmitter, but the pod malfunctions and the shark escapes. King and Spencer come across the battle and join forces with Dane and Alison to find Kolossus' creator, Sergei Abramov (Patrick Bauchau). When they locate Abramov, he gives them a compass and clues to where the technology to control Kolossus can be found. Kolossus arrives and detonates, killing Abramov while the others escape. Following Abramov's clues, the group locates the laboratory where he created Kolossus, which is now underwater. However, the shark is nearby; as its rampage continues, Admiral Jackson suffers a breakdown and initiates a nuclear launch before committing suicide. Lieutenant Commander Parker (Tara Price) manages to override the order, aborting the strike, and King uses an American flag to draw the shark into the inlet where the laboratory is, trapping it. While King, Spencer, Alison and Dane search the laboratory for Kolossus' control device, however, the robot appears and begins fighting with the shark. They find the device and escape the lab just before the battle crushes it. Kolossus approaches Dane's ship, but they manage to connect the controller to Dane's computer system in time to stop it. With Kolossus under control, Dane betrays the others, revealing that he was Benedict's sponsor and sabotaged Alison's transmitter to prevent the government from killing the shark before he could find red mercury. As he collects the red mercury from Kolossus, the shark attacks again, but he uses Kolossus to attach a transmitter to it, bringing the shark under his control as well. Dane broadcasts a message worldwide, announcing that he has control of both Mega Shark and Kolossus and plans to use Kolossus to destroy the cities that produce the most pollution, killing millions in the name of saving the environment. Several governments scramble fighter jets against him, but Dane uses Mega Shark and Kolossus to eliminate them. He then declares to the world that he expects a nuclear strike will come, warning that if he is killed, it will trigger the release of red mercury into the atmosphere, rendering Earth inhospitable for centuries. The US activates the Strategic Defense Initiative satellite, prompting Dane to have Kolossus throw the shark into space, knocking the satellite's laser off target so it hits the moon instead. Dane does not notice that when the shark lands back in the ocean, the transmitter falls off. The shark attacks Kolossus, causing Dane's control system to crash. Kolossus targets the ship; while Alison, King and Spencer - who escaped their bonds earlier - flee, Dane runs onto the beach and is crushed under Kolossus' foot. Alison, King and Spencer watch from the shore as Mega Shark and Kolossus engage in a vicious final battle. Kolossus finally drags the shark down, wraps around it and detonates its entire remaining supply of red mercury, destroying both creatures. With the crisis over, the three survivors await rescue. Deep underwater, another egg hatches, giving birth to a new Mega Shark. In a post-credits scene, Dr. Bullock is killed by the new shark. ===== The film begins with Dr. Chakravarthy (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) one of the foremost surgeons in India. Little Muck lived alone in a house, which he rarely left. Due to his misshapen figure and his unsuitable clothing Muley and his friends always made fun of him. One day, they were extremely mean to him. Thereupon Muley’s father gave him 50 blows with a pipe stem. After the first 25 blows he told him the following story: Muck’s father Mukrah was a well-respected, but poor man, who lived as lonely as his son. He was ashamed of Muck’s misshapen figure and therefore he did not allow him any kind of education. When Mukrah died, his relatives inherited everything, as he owed them a lot of money. Muck only got a suit with wide trousers, a wide belt, a coat, a turban and a knife. His father was tall and thus Little Muck cut off the legs and sleeves of the wide trousers without changing the width. Afterwards he left his home town to seek his fortune. Shortly afterwards Muck found an accommodation and a new job in another town: he had to take care of the cats and dogs of a mysterious woman called Miss Ahavzi. One day Muck entered a forbidden room in Miss Ahavzi's house and accidentally destroyed an expensive bowl. He took two items of this room and decided to flee, as he did not get his wages and was often punished for no reason. These two items had, as it turned out, magical powers: With the pair of slippers, he could not only walk faster than any other person, but also fly to any place he wanted. And the walking stick showed him buried treasures. The king was impressed by Muck's magic slippers, and thus offered him a position as a courier, which made the other servants jealous of him. With the help of his magic walking stick, Muck discovered a forgotten treasure in the palace garden one day. As he wanted to make new friends, he distributed all the gold he had found to other people. However, he was charged with theft and sent to prison. At that time the official punishment for stealing royal property was death. However, Little Muck could save his life by telling the king more about the magic power of the slippers and the walking stick. Thereupon the king tried on the slippers, but as Muck did not show the king how to stop the slippers, the latter ran and ran until he passed out. He was very angry, confiscated the magic items and chased Muck away. After an eight-hour march, Little Muck finally reached the border of a small country. By chance, he discovered two fig trees in a forest. With the help of the figs he could retaliate: the first variety of figs caused the growth of huge donkey ears and a long nose; by eating the second variety of figs, it went back to normal. Dressed up as a salesman Little Muck smuggled the first variety of figs on the king's table. Shortly afterwards he dressed up as a scholar and offered the king the second variety of figs as a remedy for his and his royal court’s deformities. After proving the effectiveness of his cure, the King led Muck into the treasury, where he should choose a reward. He immediately snatched his magic items and revealed his identity. With the help of his magic slippers Little Muck flew back home and left the disloyal king with his deformed face behind. Since then, he lived in his home town in great prosperity, but lonely as he despised other people. "Muck became wise through experience and therefore he deserves admiration instead of mockery", Muley's father ended his narrative and spared his son the remaining half of the blows. Muley told Muck's story to his friends, who were very impressed by the story of Muck's life. From this day forth they honored Muck and bowed before him whenever they saw him. ===== Set in Washington, D.C., the series was a workplace comedy which took place at a small public radio station."Robert Hays is down to earth in new series, 'FM'". Mulla is a child living in Lakshadweep islands under the care of Moosa, a fisherman. He is seen to be wearing baggy clothes and doesn't go to school due to bullying. The bullies make him wear lipstick and a veil, and he hates girly clothes. He laments his brother who disappeared from the island and tries to search for him. Moosa tells him to drop the issue and to stop imitating his brother's mannerisms and tells that Mulla can't become like Moothon by wearing his clothes. He suspects that Moothon left due to an affair with Aamina (or having been cursed by her) and tries to get her number. Moosa responds that the only Aamina he knows is a fish. However, he manages to get her number. One day, while getting bullied, his friends help him strike back. However, Mulla gets slapped by Moosa for this and he leaves the island by taking a boat under the cover of darkness and proceeds to get hit by a large wave in the ocean, capsizing the boat. He hallucinates a mermaid rescuing him, but in fact, gets rescued by a ship. The ship authorities send him to a police station and there is a communication barrier as he doesn't know Hindi. From there, he is sent to a govt-funded orphanage. He is hesitant in taking a bath together with the boys and from there he befriends Raju. The warden tries to rape him, but he manages to escape from him due to Raju's intervention. Raju tells Mulla about his mother Rosi and where he could find her. Mulla escapes from the orphanage the next day in search of Raju's mother. Mulla finds Raju's mother to be a prostitute, who helps him when he mentions the name 'Raju'. She provides him shelter and introduces him to a tea seller, who gives him a livelihood selling tea. The neighborhood boys bully him and steal his money, which he had been saving for calling Aamina. One day, when Mulla was resting on the street after work he gets kidnapped by a local goon known as "Bhai", a druggie, who is involved in child trafficking and drug dealing. He tries to escape, but is caught by the street boys. Bhai plans on 'taming' Mulla for subsequent sale. Bhai's sidekick, Salim sets up the deal. However, Bhai himself is from the islands and understands Mulla, who says he came looking for his brother. Bhai tells him that he had once killed an islander who tried to survive, but couldn't and came to Bhai for death. Later, Bhai sets up Mulla to deliver a package (seemingly drugs). However, on seeing a cop, Mulla flees, dropping the package. However, smartphones drop out of the package. Mulla comes back to Bhai's haunt and tries to steal cash to take his phone. Bhai however, comes back saying that his sidekick, Salim had warned him not to trust Mulla. Seeing this, Bhai is enraged which makes him slap Mulla. He asks who Mulla was trying to call and Mulla reveals that he is trying to find his Moothon, Akbar and that he is in fact his sister. Bhai is shocked hearing the revelation, and understands that Mulla is in fact his sister, although Bhai does not reveal this to Mulla. Bhai warns Mulla to stay inside until he comes back. One of boys from the street enters the house looking for Mulla while she was bathing and finds out that Mulla is, in fact, a girl and falls in love with her afterwards. The story backdrops to Bhai's life in the islands as Akbar. He lives in Lakshwadweep and is a performer of the Muslim ritual Kuthu Ratheeb, along with Moosa. They are professional ritual dancers, and the dance uses daggers to cause self harm, seemingly for healing purposes. During a performance, he makes eye contact with a young man named Ameer, who had just returned from Bombay. It is revealed that Ameer is Aamina's brother. Aamina's family is close with Akbar's as its seen that she helps prepare ointment for Akbar. Ameer is a mute and he had learnt sign language from Bombay, though incidentally, Akbar too knows it apart from his family. Ameer is romantically interested in Akbar, however, Akbar doesn't return his feelings at first. Ameer invites Akbar to his home when Aamina and her mother had gone for Kochi. However, Akbar is reluctant. Later he confronts Ameer and the two start a relationship. But this upsets Akbar's relatives and Moosa, who warns Ameer to stay away from Akbar. Ameer tells Akbar that he doesn't want to get married and Akbar says that he wants to visit Mumbai and see pigeons. Ameer gets married but he wants to leave the island with Akbar and settle in Mumbai. But Akbar refuses to leave with Ameer and he commits suicide. The film returns to the present with that and Akbar, knowing that his boss is looking for her, approaches their sister Aamina. She is a cabaret dancer working in her husband's cabaret bar in Mumbai. Akbar asks her to take care of Mulla, but she refuses. So he leaves Mulla to his transgender friend Lateef. The don threatens to kill Akbar and his assistant Salim, if he did not receive the money lost for the dropped package. But Akbar claims a bigger assignment to pay the debt. He is assigned with 20 other thugs to transfer a huge amount of money to a middleman, but fails to do so as he is ambushed by another gang in a vehicle chase, due to backstabbing by a gang member. Mulla runs away from Lateef, who tells her to dress as society wants, and goes back to Bhai's shelter only to realise that Bhai has been caught by the police. Salim uses this opportunity to sell the girl as promised. Lateef gets Akbar out of jail and upon release, he beats up Salim asking about Mulla's whereabouts. Salim takes Akbar to the place where he sold the girl and Akbar is shocked on seeing something (may be Mulla) and gets shot at the same instance (probably arranged by Salim, who is seen comfortably smoking in the car). Later the boy from the street who fell in love with Mulla knocks on the door of a brothel, and Mulla opens the door. He is shocked by seeing her with long hair and girly clothes and smiles. She smiles in return. ===== Charles Wang is the patriarch of a family of five, a self-made millionaire who parlayed his family connections to the urea industry into a cosmetics empire. Two others who believe to have made no physical contact with the man including Andrés and Sergio join Amparo and together lock the five people down in the cellar. Deep down in the cellar, the group hear gunshots coming upstairs from the bar and deduce the government have stormed in and shot Amparo, Andrés and Sergio dead. The government then burn the bar down to disinfect it. The group wait till the government is gone and head upstairs to find the interior of the bar burnt down and taped up from the outside. Eventually, the group deduce that the man has brought in what they conclude to be four doses of vaccine made for the man's disease that have supposedly infected the group. Israel finds the vaccines in the bathroom, but when the rest of the group urge Israel to share them, he reminds them that the four vaccines are not enough for the five of them, meaning someone in the group is in danger. Unwilling to take any chances, Israel deliberately takes out one of the doses and injects himself with it. Furious, Sátur engages in a physical fight with Israel. In the ensuing fight, the rest of the vaccines end up falling through a drainpipe in the cellar that leads down to the sewers. The whole group barely manage to squeeze through the small drainpipe to access the sewers. Once down, the group are still left with the question on who is going be left out to be vaccinated. Trini kills herself to minimize the group's quantity with that of the vaccines. Meanwhile, a now demented Israel kills Satur out of spite and chases after Elena and Nacho through the sewers. The two find a ladder to escape from the sewers. As they start climbing it, Israel catches up and grabs hold of Nacho. Nacho sacrifices himself for Elena by dropping himself down with Israel, resulting in both being killed. According to the developers, the game paints a grim portrait of the future where the evolution of technology in relation to society and the environment has led to a decadent era for humanity. The proliferation of drones and working robots has created mass unemployment, with humans forced to resort to augmentations and powered rigs to keep up with a far more efficient equivalent. The player takes control of Warren, a new employee on his first day on the job on board a bullet train towards the headquarters of CREO, one of the largest tech conglomerates now controlling the world, renowned for its revolutionary breakthroughs in a multitude of fields, from common household items to advanced exoskeletons. Its most relevant activity however is "Project reSOLVE", ideated by its founder Jonah Guttenberg, which involves a complex chemical formula dispersed via rockets to slowly reseed the Earth's damaged atmosphere, as well as boost the growth of flora worldwide. After choosing a starting robotic rig, Warren (who uses a wheelchair) is prepared for surgical implantation of an advanced CREO exoskeleton, gone horribly wrong when the automated system fails to sedate him, painfully grafting each component until he passes out during neurosurgery. Waking up, Warren finds the facility in ruins, with drones attacking personnel and fellow workers prey to a deranged bloodthirst. Guided by an executive known only as "Sally", Warren is forced to traverse the entire complex, up to the Executive Forum, in order to find out what exactly happened. As the player gathers audiologs, meets different NPCs and explores the decadent structures, it becomes evident that Project reSOLVE is indeed working, but at a pace far too slow to ensure mankind's survival, along with unspecified long-term toxicity. Under pressure, the CREO board of directors chose to fast-track "Project UTOPIA", which involved large-scale usage of nanites to achieve the intended result much faster, but at the expense of killing off 95% of the human race after its initial deployment. Battling his way into the Executive Forum and disabling its firewall, Warren is exposed to the truth about the plot and CREO: as the board of directors debated whether to launch or not UTOPIA's rockets, its nanites became self- aware and, in an attempt at self-preservation, created a system-wide crash (the eponymous surge) that corrupted every human and machine connected to CREO's network. The devastation destroyed CREO's governing AIs ("Sally" being one of them) and killed off its executives. As the last one dies, UTOPIA's launch is authorized by the automated system. Warren subsequently advances through UTOPIA's launch platform in order to stop the rocket, until he is confronted by an amalgam of the nanites' consciousnesses, the "Rogue Process". Upon its defeat, the player is presented two different endings: * if a plot- critical audiolog was recovered and uploaded into the rocket's payload, the nanites will be rendered inert. A United States Army squad is sent to investigate the now silent facility, succumbing quickly to its deranged denizens and a still alive Rogue Process. Realizing the danger, further military action is taken. * if the payload was launched intact, worldwide communication and radar equipment will quickly start to fail as the Rogue Process takes them over, dooming mankind. Regardless of the player's choice, an epilogue is played from Warren's perspective as he slowly crawls out of the wrecked maglev station he initially arrived in, his exoskeleton gravely damaged and disabled, cutting to black just as he is within reach of his wheelchair. ===== The epic is based on the ancient legend of saint Puran Bhagat (Bhagat is the Punjabi word for a saint, devotee). Stunned with a stun gun, Renee is carried into the team's truck, chained down and transported to a warehouse laboratory where she is strapped to a table and held prisoner in a private room. A fellow captive named Seth tells Renee to remember "G10 12X." Fellow captive Blake talks to Renee through the vent from an adjacent room and explains that their captors are forcing subjects to face their personal fears. Renee additionally learns that this mysterious group has secretly monitored subjects all over the world for decades. With the entire operation overseen by Terrence, Renee is repeatedly tested and experimented on by Dr. Nyman, Dr. Raxlen, Dianne, Colette, and a Bald Man. Suffering from arachnophobia, Renee panics when Dianne and the Bald Man test Renee by having a spider crawl on her. Renee eventually breaks free of her restraints and crawls into the ventilation system. Renee peeks into other holding cells and sees other captives being tested according to their fears. Renee makes her way to Blake’s room and hides under his table when the doctors enter. Exploiting Blake’s fear of snakes, the doctors cryptically reveal that they are using terror to initiate a DNA change in test subjects. Having failed his final test, Colette gives Blake a medication via a syringe, telling him it will sedate him and when he awakes, he will be back home. When Blake is wheeled out of his room, Renee uses the opportunity to sneak into the hallway through his open cell door and explore the lab. Realizing Renee may be their only hope, the team agrees to put Renee through one more test. Renee quickly crawls back through the ventilation system and returns to her room before it is discovered she is missing. Dianne, lying to Renee, seductively touches Renee under her clothing and tells her about Evan, explaining that she can learn details about Renee's son through Renee’s skin. Dianne additionally explains that G10 12X is a genetic code that all humans have in their chromosomes. By rupturing that part of their genes through terror, humans can change shape and evolve as a life form. Dianne morphs her head into a deformed shape to prove the truth to Renee, unaware that Renee has secretly taken the syringe originally intended for her. Renee stabs Dianne with the syringe and escapes back into the main facility. She finds a lab filled with DNA samples collected from numerous test subjects. She also overhears Dr. Raxlen and the Bald Man discussing the development of her ovum to accept non-human sperm. The Bald Man senses that Renee has escaped and instead of chasing her through the factory, he goes to a computer and uses it to locate Renee's location. He traps Renee in a room and uses gas to knock her unconscious. When Renee wakes, Terrence, Dr. Nyman, Dianne, and the Bald Man demonstrate that Renee now has improved eyesight and hearing. Terrence explains that they were all humans once, but overcoming fear transformed them. They now believe they can cure humanity of its self- destructive tendencies by building their numbers and altering the gene pool. Renee is forcibly strapped into a transparent helmet in which spiders are released to crawl all over her face. Renee frantically tears at the mask and hits her head against the wall while the doctors observe. Suddenly, Renee is no longer afraid. She "ruptures" and the shape of her head grotesquely distorts, causing the mask to crack away from her head. Renee returns to her everyday life as a covert plant for the group. Renee tries convincing her son that she knows people who can help him overcome his focus issues, but Evan refuses. Terrence, the Bald Man, and another henchman arrive at the house to take Evan by force. Renee has a change of heart and warns Evan to escape, which he does. Terrence calls off the chase and tells Renee that she will help him find Evan. Core stays at the Slone house, and tries to tell Medora that this type of wolf behavior doesn't happen. Medora says "It happened to me." Medora tells him that there is darkness there, and tells him of a hot springs to the north of town, which is the only warm place she's ever known. She also says her husband is away fighting in the war, and that he told her he would never leave her. In the middle of the night, Core wakes and sees Medora scrubbing her skin in the bath. When she is finished, she lays down naked next to Core without saying anything and puts his hand on her neck. Medora's husband Vernon Slone (Alexander Skarsgård), overseas in Iraq, mercilessly guns down Iraqi insurgents. Stationed at a checkpoint when shooting breaks out, Vernon rescues a local woman who is being raped by another American, wounding him with a knife and then handing the bloodied knife to the woman for her to take revenge. Leaving the house, he is caught in an ambush and shot but survives to be sent home. After he is shot, he is being carried to a helicopter to transport him out of the country. He has a flashback of his son, Bailey, and mumbles his name, to which the medic replies that Vernon would be home soon to see him. In the morning, Core leaves town to track the wolves, and meets an old native woman along the way out of town, Illanaq, who tells him he is going the wrong way, and that Medora 'knows evil'. Core tracks the wolves, finding the hot springs Medora mentioned, and spots a pack of wolves eating their young. Unwilling to shoot them, Core returns to Keelut. At the Slone house, he finds Medora missing and discovers Bailey's frozen, strangled body in the cellar. The police investigate, and native villagers claim Medora is possessed by a wolf-demon called a tournaq. Vernon's friend and father to another missing child, Cheeon (Julian Black Antelope), meets him at the airport and brings him to police chief Donald Marium (James Badge Dale), Core, and other officers at the morgue. After Marium leaves with Core, Vernon kills the officers and the coroner and takes his son's body. Cheeon builds a coffin, and Vernon buries his son in the snow, just after cutting his own arm and marking his son's body with blood, a Yup'ik burial ritual. Vernon reads the file and after burning it he goes to visit the witch. She tells him the wolves had come before. She claims no responsibility for what happened. She tells him about the influenza which spread through the village and took the lives of many, with nowhere to bury them with the ground frozen. This is a reference to the great influenza of 1918, which took out entire villages of Yup'ik people in Alaska. Discovering the officers murdered and Bailey's body missing, Marium realizes Vernon is responsible. Core, remembering the old woman's warning, arrives in Keelut at the same time as the police only to find Illanaq dead. As officers take up position around Cheeon's house, Marium approaches to ask about his involvement with the murders and to give him an opportunity to surrender before they take him in. Cheeon talks about the government's neglect of Keelut and how it has affected their village. He then warns Marium that he will not go peacefully, and as Marium returns to his position with the other officers, Cheeon opens fire on them from a second floor window with a tripod mounted machine gun. The shootout continues, with many officers being wounded and killed. Marium asks another officer to cover him while he tries to enter the house from the rear. As Cheeon continues shooting, Core drags a wounded officer to safety. Cheeon is about to shoot them, when Core yells "Stop it!" and Cheeon ceases fire for a moment. Meanwhile, Marium sneaks past an entryway trip wire, ascends the steps to the second floor and kills Cheeon, who falls from the window to the front yard. At an inn outside a tourist mine, where Medora was sighted, Vernon meets John, an elderly hunter who treated him with wolf-oil as a child for his apparent psychopathy. At John's invitation, Vernon takes a mask from the wall. He dons it and kills John, and is shot in the shoulder by the innkeeper as he leaves. He visits Shan, an old friend who is seen snorting a white powder just before Vernon arrives. Shan removes the bullet and Vernon falls asleep. Core and Marium theorize that Medora killed Bailey to “save him from darkness”. Core believes Medora may have gone to the springs, and he and Marium agree to try to find her before Vernon does. Following Shan's mending of his shoulder, Vernon has a dream of himself and Medora in the hot springs. Upon waking, and overhearing Shan informing the police about Vernon, he kills Shan. Core and Marium fly to the hot springs in a small plane. Examining wolf tracks in the snow, Marium is shot through the neck by an arrow fired by Vernon in the trees, wearing the mask. Hoping to intercept Vernon in the springs, Core finds Medora, and tells her he is coming. Core is shot in the chest by an arrow from Vernon. As Vernon strangles Medora, she pushes the mask off his face, and he releases her. They embrace, and Core falls unconscious. After Core awakens, Vernon removes the arrow before leaving with Medora. Core crawls outside the cave, encountering a pack of wolves. He is found by a father and son with a snowmobile and brought to their home for care, as Vernon's mother looks on. Vernon and Medora dig up Bailey's grave, and pull the coffin behind them as they trek through the snow. He is soon contacted to look into the case of the Hawkins family, who mysteriously died in a fire. As the only clue is a strange picture painted by the supposedly crazy mother shortly before her death, Edward has to set out to Darkwater Island off the coast to find out more about the matter. Upon arriving in Darkwater, Pierce is steeped in the strange local culture. Darkwater was home to a booming whaling industry until a sudden scarcity in 1847. That year, the island's last ship, the Scylla, returned with a legendary "Miraculous Catch," that saved the island. The islanders are superstitious and suspicious of outsiders like Pierce. The detective meets Captain Fitzroy, who provides him with a few details of the Hawkins family; Officer Bradley, who handled the case; and Cat Baker, a successful bootlegger and feared gang leader. He also sees a beached killer whale, killed by ghastly wounds, being dragged back into the sea by the police, much to the locals' chagrin. While exploring the Hawkins' mansion with Bradley, Pierce learns more about the Hawkins family. The wife, Sarah, was a famous painter known for her macabre style, but also rumoured to have been mentally unstable. Pierce determines that the fire may not have been an accident, and furthermore, someone may have survived. Shortly after, he is accosted by a robed man who is stealing something from the attic. Pierce and Bradley give chase and soon discover a hidden door that leads to secret caves and tunnels beneath the island. There, they discover the thief and other cultists performing a ritual. Bradley recognizes the leader as Charles Hawkins, thought dead in the fire. Hawkins is horrifically mutated now, and kills Bradley with a tentacled arm. Pierce barely escapes, but passes out when he is trapped in the collapsing cave. He awakes in a mental institution in the basement of the Riverside Institute, under the care of Dr. Fuller. He is drugged and suffers more nightmares and hallucinations, including visits from an otherworldly voice that seems to be directing certain events. Eventually, he escapes with the help of Dr. Marie Colden. Along the way he discovers evidence of strange experiments by Fuller. He also encounters Francis Sanders, who had been given a painting by Sarah. Francis is another patient/prisoner of Fuller, and after speaking to Pierce about "The Shambler," he is brutally killed by an unseen force. Once back at the Hawkins mansion, Pierce, Colden, and a suddenly alive Bradley (who has a broken recollection of his supposed death), decide to visit the widowed Mrs. Sanders, and learn more about Francis and The Shambler. At the Sanders house, he also finds Cat once more, there to help the widow sell her late husband's art collection. The Shambler was a painting by Sarah that she gave to Francis after much resistance. Pierce examines the painting, which comes to life and pits him against the physical manifestation of the creature. He manages to banish it by slashing the painting with a ritualistic dagger from the Sanders art gallery. His investigation then leads him to a bookstore owned by Algernon Drake, a friend of Sarah Hawkins, where he discovers the Necronomicon in a safe. Upon reading the book, he has an out of body experience that places him into the mind of Marie Colden, seeing events at the Institute through her eyes. After discovering numerous patients exhibiting signs of mutation, Colden confronts Fuller about his experiments and is knocked out. Upon returning to his body, Pierce is confronted by Drake, and the two form a shaky alliance. Pierce rushes to the Institute to save Colden, but after suffering more hallucinations and taunting by the voice in his head, finds her dead at Fuller's hands. Exploring further, he discovers Sarah Hawkins, imprisoned but alive. The two run, but are stopped by the monstrous Charles Hawkins, who claims he was trying to protect Sarah from the cult due to her gifts as an "Oracle." Pierce and Sarah defeat and kill Charles, before escaping back to the mansion. There, Pierce finds an amulet Charles had hidden, which Drake says can protect Sarah from the cult's influence. Exiting the house, Pierce is arrested by Darkwater police after being identified as the perpetrator of the Hawkins fire. While at the jail, he is visited by a ghostly figure, who identifies itself as "Leviathan." It speaks to Pierce about destiny, and offers him a gift in the form of knowledge. Pierce once again leaves his body and experiences events through Sarah's eyes as she and Drake perform a ritual to banish the Shambler for good (Drake can die here, depending on the player's actions). Pierce, once again in his cell, is visited by the Leviathan again, and shown visions of his companions. Bradley doubts himself and their fight against the cult. Cat is shown shooting and killing Pierce, and Sarah is shown painting a portrait of him. He then leaves his body again, and sees Cat at her gang's warehouse examining a dead policeman left there. The gang is then attacked by the local fisherman, seemingly bewitched by the Leviathan's influence. Pierce is released from his cell by Bradley, who is also succumbing to the madness. Pierce takes his gun and fights his way to the whaling station, where Sarah was seen heading. There, he discovers the secret of the island's dark history. The "Miraculous Catch" of 1847 was the Leviathan. The crew of the Scylla captured the enormous creature, and were driven mad by its influence, with some of them, namely Fitzroy, Fuller, and Charles Hawkins; eating its flesh and gaining immortality. The Leviathan it seems wanted to be caught, to direct the events that followed through its mental influence, including Pierce's arrival to the island, and his actions here in the whaling station. While trapped in a hallucination, Pierce causes an explosion that destroys the whaling station, freeing the Leviathan. The cult, led by Fitzroy, try to apprehend Pierce, but he falls into the water, encountering the Leviathan one last time before it swims away back to the depths of the sea. Pierce washes up near a coastal cave and makes his way through the tunnels toward Alabaster Point. Along the way he encounters visions of Marie Colden, Dr. Fuller, and Charles Hawkins. He finally arrives at the cult's meeting place, where a strange storm is brewing over the ocean. Sarah, a fully willing cultist now, explains his destiny to Pierce, and he is given the choice to give in to the madness and help perform the cult's ritual or not. Depending on choices made throughout the game: dialogue, exploration, and events that affect Pierce's sanity, there are four possible endings: * If Pierce's sanity is intact, he can refuse to take part in the ritual. Sarah Hawkins, not able to fight Pierce's free will, kills herself. Later, Pierce is seen back at his office in Boston, drunk and depressed, traumatized by the events. * If Pierce's sanity is broken, he can choose to shoot himself, ruining the cult's chances of performing their ritual. Later, his office in Boston is seen being cleared out, but a painting of his suicide is seen in the room. * If Drake survived his battle with the Shambler, Pierce can have him perform a counter- ritual. The storm and the cult disappear. Later, Pierce is seen in a mental institution, insane and being treated with sleeping pills. * Lastly, you always have the option of having Pierce give in and perform the ritual. His blood is spilled by the ritualistic dagger, and the storm grows, summoning the Great Old One Cthulhu. The arrival of the entity causes those present to go mad, fighting and killing each other. Pierce surveys the violence before joining in, killing Sarah in a mad frenzy. ===== ===== Outside Bishkek, a cinema projectionist named Centaur steals racehorses at night and sets them free. ===== Sathya (Sibi Sathyaraj), who is working in Sydney, gets a voice call from his ex-lover Shweta (Remya Nambeesan). They worked in the same office and wanted to get married, but her father arranged an alliance with an entrepreneur named Gowtham (Siddhartha Shankar). Sathya leaves for India with the pretence of attending a marriage in their relatives' household. He takes a car for hire from Babu Khan (Sathish), a travel agent. Sathya also takes a SIM card on his sister's address and stays at Hotel Marriott. Sathya meets Shweta at a restaurant and learns her five-year-old daughter Ria (Baby Sherin) is missing. Things went worse when none except Shweta, including Gowtham, believes that Riya exists. Sathya also learns about Gowtham's brother Bobby (Ravi Varma), a drug addict who regularly visits her home. Sathya begins an informal investigation which fails many times, also inviting the ire of two Afro-American gangsters in the city. Babu, who helps them in transporting drugs, saves Sathya on humanitarian grounds. Posing as Vasanth Menon, a police officer, Sathya meets Gowtham and learns that the couple was childless. Gowtham recalls Shweta being attacked by two masked men before a school to steal her car. He added that Shweta went into a coma and post recovery started telling that she had a five-year-old daughter named Ria. Perplexed, Sathya later watches a closed-circuit television video footage of the masked men attacking Shweta on the day when Ria went missing. Unfortunately, Ria is seen nowhere in the footage, which makes Sathya doubt Shweta's mental condition. He confronts Shweta, who refuses to acknowledge that Ria is imaginary. Sathya sees height markings of a child on a wall, and before he could react, Shweta commits suicide. ACP Anuya Bharathwaj (Varalaxmi Sarathkumar) and Police Inspector Chowdary (Anandaraj) investigate the suicide case. Vasanth is killed in Marriott, and Babu confesses to Sathya that he saw Bobby kidnapping Ria. They meet Anuya and Chowdary and get Bobby arrested. In custody, Bobby is killed by Anuya as an act of self-defense. That same night, Vasanth's murderers attack Babu and Sathya, and Babu is killed in the process of shooting the murderers to death. Sathya watches an MMS in the murderers' phone sent by Anuya instructing to kill him. Sathya meets Anuya at her farmhouse, where Ria is hidden. Anuya reveals that Gowtham wanted to kill Ria and arranged the attack, after which she found Ria in Bobby's custody. Gowtham wanted Shweta to suffer; he convinced all his friends and family to pretend that Ria never existed, saying Shweta cannot bear the shock of Ria's death. Before Anuya could kill Sathya, Chowdary shoots her after listening to the conversation on his way to the farmhouse with his subordinates. Gowtham is arrested and reveals that Ria was not his daughter, as a medical report confirmed him sterile in the past. Sathya recollects that on their last night together in India before separation, he and Shweta had intercourse. As Sathya realizes that Ria is his biological child and approaches her, he sees a reflection of Shweta smiling at him. ===== A critical care nurse abuses drugs and alcohol, causing her to make a near-fatal mistake in treating a patient. ===== The game begins with a young woman called Shizuka Sakai fighting her way to rescue her brother, but once she finds him, he dies in her arms. Some time later, a girl called Lea awakens inside a cargo ship with no memories of her past and is informed by a man called Sergey Asimov that she must play the MMORPG "CrossWorlds" in order to regain her memories. Once reaching the game area, she befriends another player called Emilie and the two explore the game together, eventually joining the "First Scholars" guild. During a raid with the First Scholars, Lea is dragged away and trapped into an off-limits area called the Vermillion Wasteland, where she is confronted by Shizuka. In the occasion, Lea learns that she is not human but an artificial intelligence called an "Evotar," based on the memories of Shizuka. After escaping back to the cargo ship, she also learns that Sergei used to work on the creation of CrossWorlds in the Instatainment Company along his friends Gautham Ranganathan, Shizuka and her brother Satoshi. These friends also took part in the Evotar project until disappearing years before the events of the game. Once Sergei discovered Lea, he decided to help her recover her memories in an attempt to look for them. Back in the game area, Lea reunites with her friends and locates Satoshi and Shizuka's hideout. She learns that they, along with Gautham, were forced by a man called Benedict Sidwell (who financed the Evotar Project) to participate in a scheme to create Evotars based on CrossWorlds' players and extract valuable information for him. She also learns that the real Satoshi is already dead but left behind an Evotar based on himself. With help from her friends, Lea storms the place where the server containing all Evotars is located in order to stop Sidwell's operation. Upon Lea reaching the top of the tower she finds there, Gautham challenges Lea to a duel. After she defeats him, he gives her access to the server, before committing suicide in atonement for cooperating with Sidwell. With his plans foiled, Sidwell accepts defeat and flees. Having secured the Evotars' data, Lea spends some time with her friends before she is also logged out from the game while Sergei attempts to convince the executives of Instatainment to allow the Evotars to keep existing inside CrossWorlds. The game then ends with two possible outcomes. In one of them, Lea's friends are informed by Sergei that Instatainment refused his proposal and confiscated all Evotar data, thus they will never see Lea again. In another, Sergei's proposal is accepted by Instatainment thanks to one of its stockholders whom Lea befriended in the game, and her friends are eager to reunite with her. ===== Beneath the Lion's Gaze is set in Addis Ababa in 1974, at the end of the rule of Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie and the beginning of the military junta replacing Selassie's rule, the Derg. The British Prime Minister (John Alcock) addresses the nation as the newly formed CSR (Coalition of Socialist Republics), headed by the USSR and the People's Republic of China is tipped to initiate military action into Western Europe and Central America. Tensions are high as the United Nations has crumbled as the League of Nations before it, and NATO is powerless against a greatly superior force. London is now unrecognisable; the British Security Forces have turned the capital into a virtual prison with armed officers patrolling the ground and security drones and cameras watching from the sky, a city where privacy is a thing of the past and suspicion is everywhere. This is everyday life for David (Leo Taylor- Jannati), a lowly government office worker, whose position is trusted, but his paranoia increases with whispers of Russian infiltration of the Government. His pregnant wife, Abigail (Victoria Slinger), a pretty young school teacher has a particular passion for classical literature, such as George Orwell's Animal Farm, which is banned under the Government's crack down over Communist ideology, a worrying development that has not gone unnoticed by David. Their emotional separation has been growing rapidly since the discovery of Abigail's pregnancy and it shows no signs of slowing. David, already unnerved by society changing rapidly, witnesses a protester attempting to gain access to his heavily guarded Homeland Security Offices, seeing first hand the extreme tactics of the British Security Forces. But his day goes from bad to worse when he accidentally overhears office clerks discussing Russian spies and Government counter measures. Everyone is under suspicion. His mind flashes with doubts and fears, Abigail, is he under suspicion? Is he being watched? He has already decided what has to be done, but with a chance encounter with an advertisement for Taverstone Butter, a product made in a quiet village in the North of England, his mind is made up. But in David's head, he is already under surveillance. David rushes home to tell Abigail about overhearing the classified conversation but she refuses to listen, and refuses the idea of getting away from London. David's paranoia deepens when he learns of the arrest of office clerks from the previous day. Convinced he is next, David drives to Abigail's school to convince her that leaving London is the best course of action. His judgement is further clouded by meeting a fellow teacher at the school, William (Peter Adams), noticing a connection between him and Abigail. Driving out into the night, David and Abigail take a detour, heading out of London. But they begin to lose their nerve at a security checkpoint, arousing suspicion. Whilst the guards are distracted by another irate driver, David crashes through the checkpoint and out of the city. Arriving in the small picturesque hamlet of Taverstone, David and Abigail head to the village public house to look for a room but find themselves confronted by the villagers and the hostile landlord, Chris (Andrew Swift). Luckily they find an ally in the Taverstone Dairy's Tour Guide, Lawrence (John Michael Lowe). The divide between the couple resurfaces when haunted by a vision of her child in the woods surrounding the village, Abigail expresses a desire to return to London, clashing with David who wishes remain in Taverstone. Lawrence guides the couple to Taverstone Hall where a village meeting has been called to discuss the new arrivals. Chris expresses resentment at their presence at the meeting and an argument breaks out between him and Lawrence, cementing the idea in Abigail's mind that they can't stay in Taverstone. David is collected from the public house by Lord Taverstone's silent man servant, Gordon (Craig Carr) and taken to a lone statue for a meeting with the village leader, Lord Alistair Taverstone (Keith Flood). Lord Taverstone explains that the village operates independently from the State, with the Government preoccupied with centres of industry, the capital and the brewing conflict overseas, but expresses awareness of a foreign spy in the village and, using David's place as a newcomer to the society, plans to root out the wrong doer with his help. With a firm reason now to stay in the village, David readily accepts. As much as David integrates into village life, Abigail equally keeps away from the others, much to the villager's suspicions. As their relationship deteriorates, Abigail continues to experience visions and turns on her husband, even attempting to leave the village alone. After an argument with Abigail, David unwittingly stumbles across the darker side of the village when he witnesses the violent expulsion of Lawrence by the villagers, lead by Chris. Suspected of being a spy, Lawrence is brutally beaten before being murdered in the wood. With Lord Taverstone mysteriously having left the village on secret business, leaving David in charge, leading to another and very public confrontation with Chris in the pub. Blinded by his new power, David seemingly forgets the horrors be witnessed in the woods and works on gaining the trust of the other villagers. The discovery of a copy of the Communist Manifesto in their bedroom, sets David's suspicions firmly on his wife. Upon Lord Taverstone's return, and his revelation he is an agent of Her Majesty's Government working to preserve British values, David is more confident than ever with his position of trust in the village. Lord Taverstone rubbishes the suspicions on Abigail, claiming the spy is one of the villagers. After confronting her over the Communist Manifesto, Abigail and David end their marriage, just as David is called to Taverstone Hall. During another meeting, David witnesses Abigail flee the village, rather than be confronted by the villagers. But they instantly find themselves in a far more deadly confrontation as the Prime Minister is assassinated live on television and the CSR's invasion of Great Britain begins. Chris uses the opportunity for one more confrontation with David, resulting in a fist fight between the two. During the confusion, the spy reveals themselves and shoots Lord Taverstone. Chris and David race out into the night after the spy, but seizing his opportunity for ultimate power, David murders Chris in cold blood. After the fall of London, David takes control of the village as they bury Lord Taverstone. But his reign doesn't last long as the CSR forces begin to close in. ===== A murder has been committed, but not in the usual confines of the secluded English country house so typical of the Golden age of detective fiction. Instead, a Greek prisoner of war interned in a camp for British officers is found dead in a secret tunnel that a number of the officers have been tirelessly working on in the hope of fleeing the camp. No one knows how the Greek could have gotten there or who could have killed him. Hoping to protect their tunnelling activities, a committee of senior officers designates a scholarly fellow officer to investigate the death and attempt to determine who had killed the Greek and somehow get him into their tunnel. Most of the rest of the book concerns his attempts to carry out a discreet investigation within the heavily guarded camp. Just as he is about to finally reveal who has committed the crime, word comes that the Italians, who have now officially left the war, are about to turn the camp over to German forces. The tunnel can just barely be completed in the next few hours—will they then be able to evacuate the entire camp before the Germans arrive? The women include one lady in a saree, one in an office skirt suit, and one in jeans and a shirt. The company representative enters the hall and addresses that the former CEO committed suicide in the same room and is roaming as a ghost. The interview is simple. Whoever among the eight candidates remains alive and sane after one hour will become the CEO. The timer begins. The evil guy makes fun of everyone and forces the tall guy to remove the mask, but he refuses. After 10 minutes, the lights suddenly go off. When they are back on, the tall guy is shown killed by being hanged from the roof. They believe that the ghost kills people every 10 minutes, and they must work together to stay alive. The guy who always laughs suddenly begins to laugh hysterically and reveals that he can see ghosts and laughs whenever he sees one. After another 10 mins, the laughing guy is killed with a cut, then the coward dies. People suspect the evil guy, and the smart guy knocks him off. Now, the ladies and smart guy remain. Suddenly, the tall guy wakes up and reveals that he is a clone of the smart guy and his lookalike. The smart guy kills him with a gun obtained from a hole in the wall. Then, the evil guy becomes conscious and reveals that he is the assistant of the lady in the suit and they have come to the interview together. She orders him to kill the other two ladies. The evil guy kills the girl in jeans, and the smart guy kills the lady in the suit and the evil guy. Now, only the saree lady and the smart guy remain. It is then revealed that they are couples, and he decides to kill himself to make her the CEO, but she stabs herself and dies. Finally, the hero decides to kill himself, but the timer runs out. One hour is over, and the door is opened. The smart guy is then made to sit in a chair opposite to a man who is a doctor, and it is finally revealed that the smart guy is Ashwin, who is none other than the CEO of the company. He did not die and is instead suffering from multiple personality disorder. The remaining seven characters were his mere imagination. This treatment was done to make him kill all his personalities and cure him. He finally manages to kill them all and is now cured. The company representative who first came at the beginning of the interview comes and talks to Ashwin. He feels happy that Ashwin is safe now and tells him that he had eight personalities. Ashwin is shocked and asks the officer that he had only seven. The officer reveals that he had eight personalities, and the eighth one was that of a doctor. Its then revealed that Ashwin managed to kill only seven characters and the doctor character has taken over him completely, thus making him still suffering from MPD. The movie ends with a laugh from Ashwin. ===== The film opens with a couple later revealed as the protagonist's sister and brother in law undergoing a home invasion by a hitman named Mintz (James Russo). He finds the exterior of the house being scrutinized by a plethora of men and later finds Angie at the mercy of Mintz, who demands that DaVinci give him a "letter." DaVinci denies that he has a letter, prompting Mintz to taunt him. Despite DaVinci's pleas to leave his sister alone, Mintz kills Angie by slitting her throat. Traumatized by this ordeal and war flashbacks, DaVinci does not shoot Mintz, allowing him to escape. Following Robert and Angie's funeral, DaVinci is wracked with shame and guilt that he didn't kill Mintz when he initially had the chance to do so. He is comforted by Don Williams and his war buddies. Father Michael comforts DaVinci, telling him to do what is in his heart because "God isn't stopping him." The veterans decide to help out Frank by doing research throughout the neighborhood via word of mouth. Following a hallucination of his sister's last words, Da Vinci, learns about China Smith, an assassin during a phone call with Don Williams. Meanwhile, Robert and Angie's daughter, Mary is looked after by the local priest, Father Michael (Brian Robbins) and Da Vinci's close friend, Lupe (Vanity), who secretly has romantic feelings for him. DaVinci, following a conversation with his friend Jim Holbrook (Sam Jones), finds China Smith's (played by Michael Nouri) residence. DaVinci pays Smith $2,000 to help him find his sister's killer but he refuses the offer. In retaliation, DaVinci and his war colleagues ransack his house. DaVinci and the war veterans later confront Smith at a Flamenco nightclub where if he helps them apprehend Mintz, they'll give him back his belongings leading Smith to acquiescently agree. ===== Having discovered that Director Jeffrey Mace and Agents Phil Coulson, Daisy Johnson, and Alphonso "Mack" MacKenzie have all been replaced with android Life Model Decoys (LMDs), S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons attempt to act normally. The LMDs, not knowing they have been discovered, also attempt to act normally as they plan to carry out the orders of Anton Ivanov, who wants to destroy all Inhumans. Simmons soon discovers that Fitz, rather than Johnson, is the fourth LMD, and overpowers him. An unknowing Johnson prepares to bring all of the Inhumans under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s jurisdiction to the base for protection, when she discovers a fleet of LMDs based on her likeness; the other top LMDs plan to send these in her place, to murder the Inhumans rather than bring them in. Johnson overpowers the Mack LMD and discovers through the security footage that Coulson, Mack and the Director are LMDs. She encounters Simmons and, after doubting and threatening each other, both verify that the other is not an LMD by Johnson gently quaking Simmons. They plan to find their replaced friends, whose minds have been uploaded to a virtual world, the Framework, by Dr. Holden Radcliffe. Radcliffe himself has been spending time in the Framework, leaving his LMD assistant Aida to carry out his plans in the real world alongside their benefactor and protector Ivanov. After Ivanov was crippled in a fight with Johnson, Aida manages to keep his severed head alive while giving him a new android body to remotely control. Trying to follow her prime directives of protecting the Framework and protecting Radcliffe, whom she believes will one day turn off the Framework out of regret, Aida slits her creator's wrists, killing his body, while leaving his mind to live in peace in the Framework. The LMDs convince the other agents that Simmons and Johnson are the LMDs, and Simmons finds the agents and tries to tell the truth. Johnson overpowers the LMDs and the agents believe Simmons after seeing Mack's mechanical parts. They all plan to escape the base to Zephyr One, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s plane. At the base entrance, they find the May LMD, which Coulson had been keeping in storage and the Coulson LMD had awakened. The latter tasked the May LMD with detonating explosives if the agents tried to escape, but she instead lets them go. The agents successfully take off in the Zephyr, just as the May LMD detonates the explosives, destroying all the LMDs and the base. Johnson and Simmons hack into the Framework from the Zephyr, while the escaped agents and Rodriguez watch over their bodies. They find a different world due to Radcliffe changing one regret for each living person that had been uploaded to it: Johnson is in a relationship with the dead traitor Grant Ward; Simmons is dead; Fitz is rich; Coulson is an anti-Inhuman schoolteacher; Mack lives with his daughter who is alive; and May works for Hydra, who have replaced S.H.I.E.L.D. ===== Bhavana (Nikitha Narayan) is ready to get engaged but faces some confusion. She has been with the show for four years and is so identified with her character that she is nicknamed "George". Off-screen, June is outspoken, ribald, cigar-smoking and frequently inebriated, unlike her kindly on-screen persona. Although June has been popular with viewers in the past, several Applehurst characters have recently been killed off causing June to worry that Sister George may be next. Her worry affects her already volatile relationship with her live-in lover, a younger, beautiful woman named Alice (York), whom June calls "Childie". Childlike Alice plays with dolls, writes poetry, and has a minor fashion industry job, but relies on June for most of her financial and emotional support. Domineering June is alternately affectionate toward Alice and abusive to her, and reacts jealously when Alice spends time with other men or women. Alice rebels by talking back to June and refusing to play along with a "contrition" game in which June makes her kneel and eat a cigar butt. After an Applehurst colleague jokes about Sister George possibly dying on the show, June walks out on a script reading, gets drunk, and forces herself into a taxi alongside two young Catholic nuns, whom she sexually assaults, resulting in the taxi having an accident in a busy intersection. The nuns' Mother Superior and the Archbishop complain to the BBC, causing powerful network producer Mrs Croft (Coral Browne) to visit June at home and lecture her about her behaviour and her attitude at work. When June balks at apologising for the incident, Mrs Croft makes clear that her future at the network depends on her apologising and changing her ways. Mrs Croft further infuriates June by taking an interest in Alice, complimenting her cooking and encouraging her poetic aspirations. At the next script reading, June finds that Sister George has been temporarily written out of the show with an illness, seemingly as punishment for June, and raising the possibility that her character will not recover. June's spirits improve when she receives the next script, showing that Sister George has recovered and returned to riding her scooter. Enraged, Nida threatens to never forgive Hayat if anything happens to her father. While at the hospital, Zaki's father rushes in to ask Zaki and Nida what happened. Zaki informs his father of the situation, while Nida interjects, stating that this was all Hayat's fault and that she should be evicted from her house. Zaki and his father both state that this isn't possible, and that they should all focus on Aafaq's health and recovery. Her job doesn't leave her with a lot of time to spend with her 1-year-old daughter, Da-eun. Once, when her former nanny, a Chinese woman, had hit and injured Da-eun, Ji-sun had fired her but not being accustomed to taking care of her little girl, she had desperately been in need of a new nanny. Enter, Han-Mae, a young Chinese woman claiming to have a lot of experience with kids. Due to her poor conversational skills, Ji- sun had been hesitant in employing her, but when she managed to calm a crying Da-eun down within seconds, Ji-sun changed her mind and employed her immediately. She had also been entangled in a custody battle with her ex- husband, Jang Jin-hyuk, for her daughter. While her husband, a physician by profession, himself isn't too keen to have his daughter, her mother-in-law doesn't want to give up her granddaughter. One day she received a call from her lawyer asking why she had not reached the court yet. Turns out Han-Mae had received the notice but had not mentioned it to Ji-sun, not knowing the importance of the document. She goes looking for Han-Mae to confront her about the mail, but neither she nor Da-eun are in the house. Ji-sun recalls that she had mentioned going to the clinic for Da-eun's vaccination. In the court, the judge reaches the conclusion that due to her workaholic nature and mental instability due to work and her divorce, Ji-sun had been told to hand over the girl to her in-laws months ago, but she did not abide by it. Her lawyer advises her to beg to her husband to let her keep the girl since there was no other way for her to achieve that. On reaching home, Ji-sun finds it weird that none of the chores are done and on searching the house, Han-Mae and Da- eun are still not home. She goes around the neighbourhood, calling their names and starts becoming worried when she doesn't get any answer back. Her calls to Han-Mae also go unanswered. The security guard calls Han-Mae's protectiveness towards Da-eun peculiar. She even goes all the way to China-town to look for Han-mae, but that's a dead-end. Growing tired from all the worrying, Ji-sun falls asleep only to be woken up the next morning by her mother-in-law banging on the door. She has come to take Da-eun away. Ji-sun avoids her and heads for her car, determined to find Da-eun. She goes to the clinic that Han-Mae said she would take Da-eun to, only to find out that they had last come in 2 days ago and she had filled a prescription for a month's worth of flu medicines for the baby, something that mothers do when going on a long trip with their babies. To top it off, her neighbour's nanny, who had introduced Han-Mae to her as her niece, calls her back after getting a frantic voice-message from her. To Ji-sun's horror, she tells her that Han-Mae was not her niece and that she had paid her to introduce her in such a way. She reaches the police- station, now growing suspicious of Han-Mae. Her lawyer calls her after getting a call from her husband's lawyer, suspecting that she is trying to hide Da-Eun so her mother-in-law won't be able to take her away. He warns her of the price she would have to pay if does anything like that. Scared, she runs away from the police station not even realising that Han-Mae had forged her Foreigner Identification documents and the actual Piao Han-Mae was someone else. She reaches home where she sees a man lurking around her flat. She grows suspicious of him when she recalls seeing him in front of her flat a few days ago as well. On confronting him, he reveals that Han-Mae owes him some money and he came here in order to get it back. She tells him that Han-Mae and her daughter have gone missing and he takes her to a Prostitution Bar in China- town, where Han-Mae used to work before. He takes her to a room where all the girls are waiting and in her paranoia, she mistakes another girl for Han-Mae and walks in on her and a customer in a room. The owner sympathises with her once she hears that her daughter is missing and promises to call her if she ever comes across or hears news of Han-Mae. Just as she leaves the bar, she gets a call from a man claiming to have her daughter hostage. The man warns her not to calls the police and scares her even more when she hears Da-eun and Han-Mae's voices crying for help. Scared, she transfers all the money she has in her account to the kidnapper and is then instructed to go to the Yeouido Wharf. She runs around shouting Da-eun's name when she reaches the wharf, only to be greeted by a bag of her toys by the river, one of which she had bought for her very recently. The police arrive there shortly, Ji-sun having called them on the way. She finally goes to the police station to lodge a missing person's report and the officer, Detective Park, finds it suspicious that she is lodging the report so late, having last seen the duo 2 days ago. She also realises that the call earlier had just been a Voice phishing call. Since Han- Mae can't be contacted at the moment, the police ask her to provide their photos. But, while there are plenty of Da-eun's photos, surprisingly, there is not even a single photo of Han-Mae in her phone while she distinctly remembers the 3 of them clicking a photo together on Da-eun's 1st birthday. In the midst of this, her mother-in-law bursts into the police station and demands to know where Ji-sun is hiding her daughter. She claims that Ji-sun and Han-Mae are working together in order to hide Da-eun. This is news to Detective Park who then proceeds to call her lawyer. He finds it suspicious as well that her daughter disappeared just days after she was served a detention. He tells her how big the problem is considering she doesn't even know Han-Mae's personal details and that her Foreigner ID was fake and even her phone was a burner phone. She slips out of the police station and goes straight to her building, analysing the CCTV tapes from Thursday. She sees that they left on Thursday morning and were not seen since then. While she is reviewing the tapes, the security guard brings a high-schooler with him. The boy tells her that he had seen Han-Mae once, back when the other Chinese nanny was working for Ji-sun. The woman had brought Da-eun out shopping for fruits and were on their way back when a woman on a bicycle kept circling them. She had jerked the bag of fruits out of the nanny's hand, who then ran after it to collect the fallen produce. While the nanny was distracted, the woman had unbuckled Da-eun's safety belt and pushed the stroller downhill, causing it to crash and resulting in Da-Eun getting seriously injured. The high-schooler had revealed himself then and the woman had given him her bicycle and instructed him to keep quiet. It is now that we see that the woman was indeed Han-mae. Distressed by this new information, Ji-sun hurriedly drives out her building premises just as the detectives come in to see her. With the resolution that she will find Da-eun on her own, she goes back to the bar. While she is waiting on the couch for the girl she had seen the other day, the owner tells Ji-sun how similar her and Han-Mae's habits are, referring to their shared habit of scratching the couch in their nervousness. In a flashback, we see Han-Mae when she had first come to the bar, looking for a job. In her broken Korean, she had promised to work hard because she needed money. She had given her the name 목련 (Mok-ryeon - Magnolia). Just then a customer had walked in, who turned out to be Park Hyeon-ik, the man who had brought her there before. He had fallen in love with Han-Mae at first sight and had grown closer since he knew how to speak Mandarin. During one of their sessions, she had asked him about local anesthesia and had told him that she wanted to give her liver to someone. Mysteriously, she went somewhere everyday at 2pm and stayed out for 2–3 hours at a time. She never told anyone where she went. Amongst the things she left behind at the bar, Ji-Sun is surprised to find a photo of a baby. At the back of the photo, she finds the name of the studio and the date on which the photo was taken. While Ji-Sun goes in search of 'Mihwa Studio', she ignores calls from the detectives and her husband. At the police station, CCTV footage shows her entering the lift with Park Hyeon-ik, who seems to be well known amongst the detectives. While they decide to look up Park Hyeon-ik, Ji- sun reaches the location of Mihwa Studio, which has now been renamed to 'Baby Love Studio'. Reaching the gates, she suddenly hears Da-eun calling out to her. Following the voice she sets out into the dark town. She seems to be in a nightmare as she sees Han-Mae and Da-eun and remembers her husband and mother- in-law admonishing her and she sees Han-Mae, with her back towards Ji-sun, holding a bloody Da-Eun. As she turns around, Ji-sun's face is seen covered in blood and she wakes up from her nightmare with a start, having fallen asleep in her car. She wakes up just in time to see the owner opening shop for the day. He tells her that the photo was taken before the remodeling of the shop. He finds the negatives of the photo she brought and Han-Mae was indeed the mother of the child, so protective that she didn't even let the owner hold her daughter. He had registered the father's name as Han Suk-ho and the mother's name as Kim Yeon. The detectives come to the bar, having come across the same information. They find Han-Mae suspicious, having come to Korea after marriage, had a baby, then disguised herself as a nanny with a fake name and disappeared with the baby. They also suspect that she and Park Hyeon-ik conspired together. Meanwhile, Ji-sun pays a visit to Han-Mae's last known address in Chungcheon, having gotten it from the studio owner. She pays a visit to the now empty house but is soon interrupted by a neighbour who empathised with Han-Mae as his wife was a foreigner as well. They remember coming to their house so that the 2 women could learn Korean together, but her mother-in-law and husband had strongly refused that. She is abused by both of them, both physically and emotionally, for not speaking the same language and for not being able to provide a child. They punish her by cutting off her long hair which draws sympathy from the neighbour's wife. He further tells her how things improved a bit when she finally conceived and she became much happier. But things went back to being worse when one day her daughter, Jae-In, got sick. Having told to go to a hospital to avoid complications, her in-laws take the child away from her and leave in their car not wanting to spend much on a girl, leaving Han-Mae stranded in front of the clinic. She had run after the car, pleading and crying, but to no avail and that was the last time the neighbour saw her, having run away with her daughter a few days later. She had then once contacted the wife to tell her that her daughter got better after treatment in Seoul and she shows her a picture of the healthy baby. That is when the police chase her and take her to the police station. Han-Mae's mother-in-law is there to report her son missing since the last 2 days, but Ji-sun can't connect the names. She looks at the photo of the baby and realises the hospital she got treated at must be the Gangnam Catholic Hospital (the same hospital her husband works at), having seen an ID tag from the hospital amongst her belongings in the bar. The detectives release 'Missing' posters of Jae-in and it is revealed that Jae-in suffered from Congenital Biliary Atresia and she needed a liver transplant. She was not a suitable match and the father never got tested. They connect the dots and figure out that that must be why she abducted Da-eun, the process being easier with Hyeon-ik being an infamous Organ Trafficker. An elderly nurse at the hospital seems to recognise the kid, but keeps it to herself when no one seems interested in hearing her out. The detectives head to an accident site where a man fitting Han Suk-ho's description is burnt inside the car. Ji-Sun is relieved to hear that no kid's body was found but is a little disturbed to hear that the accident must have taken back a week ago. A flashback from a week ago shows us that Han-Mae had returned home late in the night and Ji-sun, worried for her, had walked in on her undressing - her face was a nervous sweaty mess and her back had scars from abuse. In the present, Ji-sun enters the hospital with the detectives when she hears the same lullaby that Han-Mae used to sing. Following the sound, it turns out to be the elderly nurse from before. She tells them that Han-Mae was famous in the hospital as 'The Singing Chinese Woman'. People were subconsciously attracted to her when she sang to her daughter, some nurses stopping to listen to her. She had come across some financial problems with her daughter's hospital bills and had asked Hyeon-ik for help. He had convinced her to sell her organs in exchange for money, but help didn't come fast enough and her daughter was forcibly discharged. She hit her surgery site and started bleeding and in an attempt to get up, she accidentally snatched Ji-sun's husband's ID card. Looking back at the bed her daughter had just occupied, Han-Mae looks at the new occupant with hatred, the new occupant being Da-eun. The nature of the case is changed to a Case of Kidnapping and Ji-sun goes home to a crowd of investigators, now investigating from a new angle. In a flashback, Da-eun was taken to the hospital for acute Pneumonia and her father was furious at her not being given a bed and for being kept in the ER for hours. Being an employee, he had pulled some strings and forcibly discharged Han Jae-in and this realisation strikes Ji-sun as she feels that that is where it all began. As she moves to the table, she sees a patchwork quilt that Han-Mae had made herself and embroidered the name 'Jae- in' at the back. She recalls back to how she had once fed her frozen kimchi. This prompts her to search the kimchi fridge. As she throws down all the boxes in the fridge, she comes across a cooler at the bottom. She opens the box and inside is a body of a child wearing the same clothes that Da-eun was wearing on her 1st birthday. She collapses in shock while her mother-in-law insists that the child is not Da-eun. We flashback to after Han-Mae had discharged Jae-in and taken her home with her. Yellow with disease and burning with fever, Jae-in became very sick. Han-Mae ran out with Jae-in in her arms, but stopped on the way when she realised that Jae-in had already passed away. She broke down in the middle of the street, loudly mourning her loss. In the present, Ji-sun slips out of the house now filled with detectives and goes to sit on the swing in the playground. She remembers one day when she had come home to see Han-Mae sitting on the same swing with Da-Eun in her arms and how she had been so fond of her, even making plans to go to the beach in summer. Park Hyeon-ik is taken into questioning where he refuses to disclose anything about Han-Mae, willing to take the fall himself. But he wavers when Ji-Sun falls at her feet and says she will do any thing and everything, begging him to return Da-eun to her. Another flashback takes us shortly after Jae-in had been discharged. He had given her the money which she then gave to her husband, as without his consent Jae-in couldn't be treated. We also see that he had indeed brought the money as soon as he could, running to her. But he was still late as he reached the hospital to find Han-Mae sitting outside with Jae-in in her arms, anger burning in her eyes. In the present, Hyeon-ik explains to Ji-sun that he didn't see her after that incident until a month ago when she asked him to kill her husband. When he hesitates, she offers Da- eun in exchange, saying that he could either ask for ransom or sell her off somewhere. But she had not held up her end of the deal and had run off with Da-Eun instead. Ji-sun vows to kill her if she touches a hair on Da-eun's body. Seeing her grieved, Hyeon-ik says that she had asked him to make a passport for her baby long ago, having had plans to go back to her country after earning some money. But now her baby's dead, so everyone joins the dots and assume she wants to flee with Da-eun. The closest escape route seems to be a China bound ship for 1pm, and everyone heads there. Running into the boat when the officers are not looking, Ji-sun goes from room to room looking for the 2 when she spots them outside the window of a room. She runs to them but Han-Mae spots her before she can reach her and a chase ensues, resulting in the two women facing off on the hull. Han-Mae is in an illusion, thinking that Da-eun is Jae-in. She threatens to jump off when she sees herself surrounded by the police. Ji-sun tries to lure her with the patchwork quilt that Han-mae had made for Jae-in. She wavers after seeing the quilt. Ji-sun offers to jump off the ship herself as she apologises for the hospital incident, saying that Da-sun doesn't deserve to die and she wouldn't like to see her die either as she knows that Han-mae loves Da-eun as well. As she looks down at Da-eun, she sees Jae-in instead and finally realising that she is not her daughter, she hands Da-eun to Detective Park. Out of grief, Han-Mae jumps off the ship as Ji-sun throws herself after her to save her. She catches hold of her, but Han- Mae pulls her hand away from Ji-sun and she goes further and further down the deep sea, clutching Jae-in's quilt. As she goes down, she thinks back to the time she was pregnant with Jae-in and was telling her that she was going to make her the happiest baby in the world. Ji-sun wakes up in her hospital bed, her first thought being Da-eun. The nurse brings her outside where she sees Da-eun playing with the other kids. Ji-sun kneels down and calls for Da-eun. She gets a bit depressed when Da-eun doesn't react to her at first, but then starts tearing up when she gets up and toddles towards Ji-sun, walking straight into her open arms and calling her "Mama". ===== The action takes place at a roadside cafe along a South Australian high way. A married woman arrives, claiming she has lost her memory. Then her husband arrives, claiming she is faking amnesia and that his wife tried to kill him. ===== King Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Morgan (Lennie James), and several other members of the Kingdom, including Richard (Karl Makinen), meet the Saviors for their weekly supply drop. During this, Savior Jared (Joshua Mikel) gets confrontational with Richard, and demands his gun; Richard refuses until Ezekiel orders him to do so. Richard hands it over with an insult at Jared, causing Jared to lunge at him but Morgan uses his wooden staff to stop it. For the infraction, the Saviors take Morgan's staff when they leave and warn them to avoid these types of incidents in the future. Back at the Kingdom, Richard hands Daryl (Norman Reedus) a new crossbow and explains that they share the same goal: killing the Saviors. Daryl is asked by Richard to help him defeat the Saviors; Daryl agrees. Richard leads Daryl to a hiding spot on a highway that he knows the Saviors use. He wants to attack the Saviors when they pass, so that when other Saviors discover the scene, they will follow a trail to a weapons cache he planted at the cottage occupied by Carol (Melissa McBride). Richard anticipates that if the Saviors kill Carol, Ezekiel, who respected her, will be incited enough to declare war. Daryl, learning that Carol is near, refuses to do anything with this plan, vows to harm Richard if Carol is hurt in any way, and leaves on his own. At Carol's house, she greets Ezekiel and accepts his gift of a cobbler. After Ezekiel leaves, Carol is surprised by another guest: Daryl. The two hug, and Carol tells Daryl that she left Alexandria as she didn't want to lose anyone else. Daryl catches her up on events in Alexandria, though lies about the deaths of Glenn and Abraham. Daryl returns to the Kingdom, and while befriending Ezekiel's bengal tiger, Shiva, he asks Morgan to help convince Ezekiel to join the cause against the Saviors. Morgan refuses to do so. The next day, Daryl sets out to return to Hilltop to help prepare there. Elsewhere, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group are escorted into a giant junkyard by the Scavengers, a group of strange-acting survivors. Their leader, Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh), tells the group that the Scavengers now "own" them and they must "buy" themselves back. Rick attempts to plead for them to help support his fight against the Saviors, but Jadis seems unimpressed. Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) appears, having been kidnapped by the Scavengers the previous day, and holds one of them hostage, trying to convince Jadis that should they beat the Saviors, they can have some of the spoils. Jadis is intrigued and she takes Rick to a high pile of trash. She explains she is still not sure of the deal, and pushes Rick into an enclosed trash pit, where a walker, covered in spikes and wearing a metal helmet, lunges for him. Rick is able to use the trash to defeat the walker, proving his mettle to Jadis. Jadis tells Rick they had been watching the boat that he and Aaron (Ross Marquand) had taken supplies from, looking for someone with the capability of reaching it. Jadis agrees to offer the Scavengers' help if they are rewarded with "a lot" of guns, a third of the Saviors' stores, and a portion of the Alexandria supplies, to which Rick agrees. As the Scavengers disperse and Rick's group is allowed to leave, Gabriel thanks Rick for rescuing him and believing he did not steal the supplies. ===== As Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his men are returning from Alexandria, Dwight (Austin Amelio) discovers that Daryl has escaped, and finds the anonymous note Daryl was passed in his cell. When Negan arrives, he has Dwight beaten up and put in Daryl's cell. Negan informs Dwight that Sherry (Christine Evangelista) has run away and wonders if she was responsible for Daryl's escape, but he defends her, leading Negan to question Dwight's own loyalty. He orders Dwight to find and bring back Sherry. After being mended by Dr. Emmett Carson (Tim Parati), Dwight leaves for his and Sherry's home before the apocalypse, having planned long ago to use it as a rendezvous should they get separated. There, he finds a farewell note from Sherry, admitting to helping Daryl to escape. Dwight returns to Sanctuary, bitter. Meanwhile, Negan allows Eugene (Josh McDermitt) to settle into Sanctuary, being granted several amenities and privileges. When Negan asks him about his credentials, Eugene falls back on his old lies that he has multiple PhDs in biochemistry as well as immunology and microbiology. He also lies about being a member of a ten-person team at the Human Genome Project to fight weaponized diseases. Negan takes a liking to him, and allows him to spend time with his "wives," Tanya (Chloe Aktas), Frankie (Elyse Nicole DuFour), and Amber (Autumn Dial). The women bond with Eugene. Later, Tanya and Frankie quietly approach Eugene about making two poison capsules, explaining that Amber wants to commit suicide; Eugene reluctantly agrees. He finds that he has a position of power as he is able to cut in line and readily request the needed cold capsules to make the pills from the Savior marketplace, and finishes making the pills. Negan brings Eugene along to the factory floor as he accuses Dr. Carson of allowing Daryl to go free. Dr. Carson refutes this, but Negan shows him a note they found in his office admitting to this, which Dwight had secretly cut from Sherry's letter and planted there. Dr. Carson attempts to blame Dwight, but Dwight remains steadfast. Negan prepares to brand Dr. Carson with a hot iron, but Dr. Carson relents and admits to letting Daryl go. As punishment, Negan throws Dr. Carson into the furnace, burning him to death. Back in his apartment, Eugene tells Tanya and Frankie that he knows the suicide pills are for Negan, not Amber, and refuses to turn them over; they angrily leave. Negan later arrives and prepares to ask Eugene a question, but Eugene quickly responds "I'm Negan", pledging his allegiance to the Saviors. The next day, Eugene is overseeing defense preparations outside Sanctuary. ===== Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) leave Alexandria to search for guns to give to the Scavengers to get their help in fighting the Saviors. After one fruitless day, they find an abandoned traveling carnival behind a school; the grounds are filled with walkers of many military soldiers still equipped with their guns. They scout the crowd from the school's roof, but it collapses on them. They land on mattresses inside the empty school, and discover a supply of rations. As they feast and prepare to deal with the walkers the next day, Michonne encourages Rick to take charge of the new world order once they have defeated the Saviors. Rick is unsure of this. In the morning, the two methodically deal with the walker horde. As they split up to finish off the stragglers, Rick spots a deer. As he owes a deer to Michonne for the one she had to give to the Saviors earlier, he climbs the ferris wheel to snipe it, but the wheel collapses under him and he falls into a crowd of walkers. A horrified Michonne sees this and, thinking the walkers are attacking him, drops her katana. Rick reveals himself, having hidden under a crate, and together they clear the remaining walkers. Rick shows her that the walkers were eating the deer he had spotted. They collect the guns and return to Alexandria before heading off to meet Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh), the leader of the Scavengers. She says that Rick has not brought enough guns to fulfill their deal. Frustrated, the group returned to Alexanderia. Tara (Alanna Masterson), who has contemplated telling the others about the well-armed Oceanside community, meets with Rick after his group returns. Meanwhile, Rosita (Christian Serratos) ventures out on her own, trying to find more guns, but is unsuccessful. She meets with Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) and expresses her desire to kill Negan even if she dies in the attempt. Gabriel cautions her that dying is the easy way out. After Rick and the others return from their meeting with the Scavengers, and knowing they still need to keep looking for weapons, Rosita travels alone to the Hilltop community to meet with Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), convincing her to join in her attempt to assassinate Negan with a sniper rifle. They both acknowledge they will likely not survive the attempt. ===== King Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Morgan (Lennie James), Richard (Karl Makinen), and a group of Kingdommers meet the Saviors for their routine supply drop-off, after making their way past a blocked road with an open grave nearby. Since they were tardy and only delivered eleven cantaloupes instead of twelve, the group leader, Gavin (Jayson Warner Smith), explains he's going to teach them a lesson so they understand the stakes and orders Jared (Joshua Mikel) to shoot someone. Jared raises his gun and points it at Richard, who says "Just do it", but Jared shifts his hand at the last second before pulling the trigger and shoots Benjamin (Logan Miller) in the leg. After being rushed to Carol's (Melissa McBride) cottage, Benjamin bleeds out and eventually dies. Back at the urban lot, where they encountered the roadblock, Morgan walks alone and begins to become unhinged, similar to his life before learning aikido, experiencing flashbacks of his son and wife. He contemplates suicide, but backs out. However, he finds the missing cantaloupe hidden in a crate on the street and realizes that Richard intentionally hid the cantaloupe. Morgan returns to the Kingdom and confronts Richard, who explains that he planned to provoke the Saviors into killing him, as Gavin had promised he'd be the first to die if anything went wrong. He'd hoped his death over something so petty would motivate Ezekiel to fight the Saviors. The next day, Ezekiel and the others return to meet the Saviors for a drop to make up for the missing cantaloupe. Because Richard has not told Ezekiel the truth yet, Morgan strangles Richard to death and tells everyone that Richard staged the missing cantaloupe in order to incite a war. After exposing Richard's plan, Morgan assures Gavin that he knows what's at stake if things went wrong, to which Gavin assents. Morgan drags Richard's corpse to the open grave and buries him there. He then returns to Carol and confesses that Negan and the Saviors killed Abraham, Glenn, Spencer and Olivia. He explains that Rick wants to fight the Saviors and that's why he was at the Kingdom. Morgan prepares to go after the Saviors and promises to kill "every last one", but Carol convinces him to stay. Carol returns to the Kingdom and finds Ezekiel, telling him she's moving to the Kingdom. She tells him that they need to fight and prepare for the imminent war, to which Ezekiel agrees. Back at the cottage, Morgan sits alone on the porch, seemingly whittling the end of his fighting stick into a sharp point. ===== Wacker and Tony – a pair of down-on-their-luck videographers – are about to video a wedding, and they think their lives can’t get any worse. Jackie is warned that she must remain sober while living there or she will be evicted. Jackie begins looking for evidence about her friend, previous Havenhurst tenant Danielle, unaware that she was brutally murdered along with her addict boyfriend Jason after receiving an eviction notice. Jackie meets some of the building's residents, notably a young teen named Sarah, who lives with her foster parents Tammy, a waitress who works nights, and Wayne, an abusive alcoholic. She later hears a neighbor, Paula, being murdered because she returned to prostitution. Jackie reports the incident to a detective friend, Tim Crawford. She discovers an incomplete map that Danielle created before her death. The map shows that the building is far larger than it appears, as it has several secret rooms. Sarah gives Jackie Danielle's camera, which contains film that Jackie develops. Sarah is later attacked by Wayne, who is abducted by Eleanor's other son Jed. Jed is a serial killer that has been using the secret rooms to hide his crimes. He is the one murdering those who have been served eviction notices. Tammy becomes one of Jed's victims. After discovering their apartment covered in blood, Jackie tries to show Tim the apartment as proof, only for it to have been cleaned prior to his arrival. She decides to start drinking in order to receive an eviction notice and discover the building's secrets. Jackie and Sarah, who is now living with her, discover a secret passage in the laundry room that leads to a room containing records showing that Eleanor and her children are descendants of serial killer H. H. Holmes and have inherited his murderous disposition. They are discovered by the murderous family and chased throughout the building, unable to leave. Jackie calls Tim for help but Sarah is captured. She manages to rescue Sarah and help her escape the building but is captured herself and presumably murdered. Tim arrives shortly after with several police officers but is unable to do anything as there is no visible evidence that the disappearances are sinister in nature. Eleanor convinces Sarah to join her family (with all that entails), and Sarah agrees. ===== Rick and Julia and their kids Saraya and “Zak Zodiac” are a family of wrestlers, who also train other wrestlers. Angry that she is giving up the dream he failed to achieve, Zak attacks Paige during a wrestling match, then gets in a drunken bar fight. Bert Cousins wasn’t even invited, but looking for an excuse to get out of the house, away from his three noisy children and pregnant wife for a few hours one weekend, he followed up on another fellow’s invitation. He brought a bottle of gin and he took a kiss from Franny’s very beautiful mother that day. Thus began an affair that ended two marriages and led Bert to begin thinking up excuses to get out of the house away from his four children from southern California and his two stepchildren every day of their summer vacations in Virginia. Bringing the children of two divorces together under one roof may be called a “blended family” but this family does not blend. There forms a curious commonwealth of neglected children. This is their story about how their lives were disrupted and how they intertwined and what really happened the day that one child died. Twenty six years after her christening, when law school dropout Franny embarks on an affair with a much older very famous novelist, she has no inkling that her childhood memories could, in time, be woven into a best-selling novel, titled “Commonwealth.” When the baby of the family, Albie Cousins, discovers his past in black and white, readers are struck by the theft of family secrets, raising questions about borders between fact and fiction. Over the course of five decades, while the Keating-Cousins children were all going their own ways, they were still a family, still bound by shared memories and ultimately real affection. ===== David Haller is being interrogated by government officials who believe he may be the most powerful mutant (someone possessing a genetic trait that gives them superhuman abilities) discovered.
