I'm going in tomorrow to have my genes altered.  I can't wait to
start my new life.

My brother went to Mars.  His lungs are bellows now, and his skin
is thick and dark like a radial tire.  He can't stand Earth's 
humidity, but we still talk on the vidphone.

I know a guy who had his bones lightened; now he glides from
redwood to redwood on leathery membranes.  I'm going even more
radical.

I'm going to regress.  I shall be a creature of gills and flippers,
crawling mindlessly back into the mire we once emerged from.

I'm going home.
