The Soviet propaganda documentary "The Jew and the Earth" was filmed by OZET as part of a campaign against anti-Semitism in the USSR in the late 1920s. The film shows how the Jewish workers colonize the Black Sea area and Crimean lands. The communes are created for successful development of the abandoned lands, in which people are living only internal colonial life. Jewish colonists are represented as one large family against the backdrop of manifestations of anti-Semitism that intensified in the USSR in the late 1920s.

Like ''The Grimleys'', ''The Grubbs'' revolved around an underachieving, blue-collar family. But while ''The Grimleys'' was set in Dudley, West Midlands, England in the 1970s, ''The Grubbs'' was set in the present day in the fictitious American town of Hackville. Joshua Sternin, ''the Grubbs'' executive producer, said that Hackville is located in America's "Steel Belt". He also said that Hackville was inspired by the western part of Pennsylvania and by the state's city of Allentown.

It is the wedding day of Ruby (Charlyne Yi) and Sapphire (Erica Luttrell), the Crystal Gems that fuse to form Garnet (Estelle). Steven (Zach Callison) helps everyone prepare for the ceremony, singing the song "Let's Only Think About Love", in which he uses the wedding to distract everyone, including himself, from recent traumatic events and revelations. At the wedding, with Steven's friends in attendance, Ruby and Sapphire say their vows: Ruby says Sapphire allows her to see value in herself, and Sapphire explains how Ruby saved her from her destiny and opened up new possibilities. They kiss and fuse back into Garnet.

During the reception, the Gem rulers Blue and Yellow Diamond arrive in their giant arm-shaped spaceships in order to awaken the Cluster, a massive geo-weapon at the planet's core consisting of thousands of Gem shards. Despite Steven's efforts, the Cluster is awakened, manifesting as a giant arm. However, it remains in control of itself and fights Yellow's ship by arm-wrestling it.

Meanwhile, Blue Diamond (Lisa Hannigan) lands on the beach, intending to avenge Pink Diamond's shattering. She ignores Steven's attempt to explain to her that Pink Diamond was never shattered, and subdues Steven and the other Gems with her grief-inducing aura. Connie (Grace Rolek) attacks with Rose Quartz's sword, but Blue Diamond stops her and shatters the blade. Garnet is able to distract Blue Diamond long enough for Lapis Lazuli (Jennifer Paz), returning from space, to drop her barn on Blue Diamond, declaring her allegiance to the Crystal Gems. Working together, the Crystal Gems overwhelm Blue Diamond, while the Cluster disables both ships and retreats to rest.

The Diamonds regroup, as Yellow Diamond (Patti LuPone) assists Blue Diamond out of the wreckage and destabilizes Peridot (Shelby Rabara)'s body, reducing her to her gemstone. When Steven tries to step forward to explain that he has Pink Diamond's gemstone, Yellow Diamond steps on him with fury, knocking him unconscious.

Steven awakens outside his body in an abstract psychic plane, where he watches as Lapis is also destabilized. He discovers that, disembodied, he can interact with people's thoughts, and encourages his friends before attempting to speak to the Diamonds. At first, he is unable to get past their auras, but eventually causes them to sense his presence. They proceed to attack him, but his own aura intensifies, and they stop attacking when they recognize the aura to be that of Pink Diamond. Steven reawakens with the Crystal Gems and the Diamonds standing over him in surprise, as Blue Diamond tearfully says, "It's you. Pink!"

Sammy is released from prison and moves into a trailer and gets a low level job. On Friday he goes to a bar, starts drinking, and befriends some locals. After spending the weekend with them smoking meth, they convince him to break into a wealthy family's house. The car that takes him to the house abandons him, as he drinks liquor and passes out.

He awakens to find himself tied to a chair, by brother and sister, Jammalee and Jason. They act as though it is their house and eventually untie him. When the actual owners show up, all three flee. Jammalee invites Sammy to her trailer but he returns to his trailer instead. He confronts the people who abandoned him, beating a man and getting his belongings. He then decides to go to Jammalee's.

Sammy ends up living with Jammalee and Jason in their brother's room who is currently incarcerated. Their mother, Bev lives in a home next to theirs and works as a prostitute. Sammy befriends all three. Sammy and the two siblings continue to break into wealthy people's homes and blackmail them with information they find. This eventually leads to Jason being murdered. A local police officer pays them off with $5,500, instructing them to leave it alone. He claims people just wanted to beat Jason in order to send him a message but things got out of hand. Soon after, Jammalee leaves town alone and Sammy confronts and fights the townspeople.

The Kree have initiated a murdering campaign in order to force Black Bolt to join the Kree Empire. This ultimatum causes the deaths of 1,038 Inhumans with the words "Join or Die" carved into their bodies, which forced Black Bolt to call together the four Queens of the Universal Inhuman tribes to respond to this threat. However, the meeting goes far from as planned, as an Inhuman executioner named Vox, a Super-Inhuman created by the Kree, begins his bloody rampage across the place. When Black Bolt, Medusa, Gorgon, Karnak, Crystal, Triton, and Lockjaw reach the meeting place, they discover the bodies of Oola Udonta, Aladi Ko Eke, Onomi Whitemane, and Goddess Ovoe, with the same three words written in their blood on a banner hanging about their corpses. They eventually realize that the victims had fallen into a trap as one of the dead Inhumans was wired with an explosive. While most of Black Bolt's group made it out alive thanks to Lockjaw, Triton was not so lucky and was killed in the explosion. Black Bolt then sent Lockjaw to New Arctilan to retrieve his brother Maximus. Unbeknownst to them, Vox and his men had already arrived on New Arctilan and began murdering every Inhuman they come across, old or new like Flagman, Glass Girl, Naja, and Sterilon. Armed with all of the Inhumans’ abilities and no humanity, Vox easily cuts his prey down with his powers or his literal energy scythe. Even Maximus can’t defeat Vox as he quickly loses an arm for even making the attempt. Soon after, Lockjaw arrives and helps Maximus with his attempt to stop Vox on their own but things don't go so well as Vox fires an enormous blast, ripping a hole in both of them.

The Royal Family eventually reaches the now burned Kingdom of New Arctilan and mourn the death of its citizens. Karnak, who can see the flaw in all things, is then sent to the Kree Commander to relay a message from Black Bolt, learning in the process that the Kree intend to rebuild Hala and enslave the Inhumans as their intended soldiers and slaves. The Kree Commander explains how they dispatched Ronan the Accuser as leader of the Kree after Hala was placed in ruin by Mister Knife and have begun to forge a new life. When asked to kneel, Karnak doesn’t. Instead, he does his best to fend off Vox only for the Super-Inhuman is able to subdue Karnak. As Black Bolt arrives, he walks through the halls of the Kree base speaking every name of the fallen Inhumans, making it a song about death. Eventually, it comes down to just Black Bolt vs. Vox who's holding Karnak as a shield. Black Bolt signs to Karnak to have Vox take him instead. Vox apparently accepts the change as he teleports himself behind Black Bolt. Before Karnak’s very eyes, Vox slits Black Bolt’s throat.

The Kree take Black Bolt prisoner and repair the damage done to his throat without using any sedatives or anesthesia to dull the pain which prompted them to think that Black Bolt's great power is gone when he doesn't scream and therefore the prophecy about the Midnight King is no longer a threat to the Kree. However, while being transported, it turns out he still has his voice, but its faint. After killing several Kree, Black Bolt secures a firearm and finds Ronan the Accuser alive. However, he is a prisoner of Vox and having been experimented on alongside the Kree soldiers that are loyal to Ronan. Black Bolt learns of this when he sees that Ronan has been converted to a cyborg. At Ronan’s request, Black Bolt enables him a mercy killing by whispering "You are forgiven." Elsewhere, Medusa and the surviving Inhuman Royal Family members try to recruit Beta Ray Bill in their fight against Vox and the Kree.

The Inhuman Royal Family are finally taking the battle to the Kree and arrive just in time to save Black Bolt from Vox. Thanks to the interference of Beta Ray Bill, the Inhuman Royal Family are able to overpower and kill Vox, but not before he's apparently able to kill Crystal. They soon realize to their surprise that Vox was actually Maximus in disguise concluding that the Super-Inhuman isn’t a person. Instead, it is a programmed and it is also revealed that the voice power everyone assumes is vaporizing his targets was actually just teleporting them instead as it was seen after Crystal’s apparent death, she has been transported to an unknown place where Kree scientists are experimenting on the Inhuman victims who were supposedly killed. While Lockjaw isn’t seen, Triton appears to be in some kind of stasis tank alongside Naja, Sterilon, and other unnamed Inhumans. Crystal is now doomed to be the next Vox.

While recapping the deaths that Vox has caused, Black Bolt also recalls the prophecy of the Midnight King. Meeting up with the Inhuman Royal Family and Beta Ray Bill, Black Bolt is told by Karnak of Vox being a programming that transported his "victims" to the Kree. With the Kree planning to turn any captive Inhumans into Vox, Karnak states that not all of them will be rescued. As Black Bolt has one more scream left, Karnak tells him to make it count. Using his sign language, Black Bolt addresses the others on how he has made mistakes in the past and apologizes to them. After holding a moment of silence, Black Bolt orders Gorgon to turn around. Meanwhile, the Kree Commander speaks with Vox about letting Black Bolt escape. Vox states that Black Bolt will come for his people. A Kree interrupts them stating that a ship is coming at them fast. The Inhuman ship strikes the Kree's base. Vox then pushes a button to activate the Vox-controlled Inhumans. As Gorgon and Beta Ray Bill engage the Kree soldiers, Black Bolt, Medusa, and Karnak arrive at the laboratory where they find Vox-controlled Inhumans like Crystal and Lockjaw. Using a laser, Black Bolt clears the Vox-controlled Crystal and Lockjaw just because they were in his way. Entering one door, Black Bolt signs "I love you. I'm sorry" before whispering for them to run. As Medusa and Karnak fight the Vox-controlled Crystal and Lockjaw, Black Bolt confronts other Vox-controlled Inhumans like Triton. Knowing the truth about the prophecy, Black Bolt brings ruin to the Kree and unleashes his scream on the Vox-controlled Inhumans, killing them all. This action frees Crystal and Lockjaw from Vox's control. Gorgon and Beta Ray Bill arrive stating that the Kree have fled and see Crystal and Lockjaw still alive. Black Bolt emerges from the room as Medusa orders Lockjaw to take them away from the Kree base. When Crystal asks where they should go, Black Bolt uses his sign language to say "home." Lockjaw then teleports them away.

In the city-state Lisvaletta, while people go about their tranquil everyday lives, crimes and illegal drugs run rampant. Above all, a dangerous, highly-fatal drug named "Anthem" is casting a dark shadow on the streets. The "Seven-O" special criminal investigation unit whose speciality is to supervise the investigation of Anthem, institutes a "Double Decker System" policy of forming groups of two investigators, and all members are given nicknames.

One team consists of the veteran investigator Doug Billingham accompanied by the rookie Kirill Vrubel. This unconventional duo combines an aloof veteran detective who is hard to get a read on, and an inexperienced detective who is a little too eager.

Kaash Aisa Ho is a tale of Irfa (Saba Qamar) an orphan. She is in love with Shayan (Mohib Mirza) her cousin, since her childhood. Shayan on the other hand being fond of her doesn't noticed her love towards him and mistaken her for mere affection. Shayan is obsessed with perfection and wants a divine goddess for him. Although after many consequences they happily married to each other. They have a child after their marriage but eventually after some disputes he leaves Irfa and her child behind and from where Irfa journey's begin of a single parent. Story explores the journey of Irfa who was orphan and now once again became a helpless with her child.

The film takes place in Odessa during the Civil War. Cab driver Gordei informs his daughter Katia, as a result of which she is arrested.

Kaname Date, who lost his left eye and all his memories six years prior, is called to investigate the murder of Shoko Nadami, whose left eye was removed before her death. He finds her daughter Mizuki at the scene, unable to speak because of her trauma. Date investigates Mizuki's dream to find out what she witnessed, and the plot diverges based on the player's choices in her Somnium.

In the left branch of Mizuki's Somnium, Date finds evidence implicating Renju Okiura, Mizuki's father and Shoko's ex-husband, before discovering his body with the left eye missing. Boss, the head of ABIS, reveals that she suspects the killer to be a copycat of the Cyclops Serial Killings, an unsolved case from six years prior in which the victims' right eyes were removed posthumously. Date interrogates then Psyncs with net idol Iris Sagan, who was seen with her producer Renju the day before. The story diverges once more from Iris's Somnium.

In the left branch of Iris' Somnium, Iris's friend Ota knocks Date unconscious and escapes. Date awakens to a livestream of Iris's attempted murder, but traces the video source in time to save her. Date Psyncs with Ota to learn more. The left branch of Ota's Somnium leads to the '''Ota Route''', in which the case remains unsolved, but Ota reconciles with his mother. The right branch of Ota's Somnium leads to the '''Mizuki Route''', in which additional evidence implicates congressman So Sejima as Iris's would-be killer. A gunfight at the Sejima residence leaves So dead and Date comatose. Mizuki Psyncs with Date to save him, and the case is resolved.

In the right branch of Iris's Somnium, Date witnesses the Original Cyclops Serial Killings. Afterward, Iris's murder is livestreamed, and Date fails to arrive in time, resulting in Ota's death as well. Date learns that the original Cyclops Killers were a duo of a "murderous psychopath" who committed the murders, and the yakuza chairman Rohan Kumakura, who was obsessed with eyes. One of them was currently imprisoned as "#89." Date interrogates #89, who tells the story of a detective-turned-assassin named Falco. Falco worked for the Kumakuras and tried to go clean after falling for Hitomi, Iris's mother. After Boss appears in #89's Somnium, Date searches for her. On her work computer he discovers a video of Boss shooting So Sejima with his left eye missing. The story then locks until the player completes other routes.

Back in the right branch of Mizuki's Somnium, Date sees a frozen corpse that looks like Iris. The following day, Date learns that Renju was involved in a car crash and ran from the hospital. During his search he witnesses So Sejima leaving a fishery warehouse, and discovers Iris's frozen body inside. Date Psyncs with So, in which he saves Iris's life. After the Somnium, he discovers Iris is alive, and wonders if he altered reality by saving her. Date attempts to interrogate #89, who escapes with Renju's help. Date takes Iris along to search for him, but the two are attacked by mercenaries and Iris reveals that she is being targeted by a secret organization. Date Psyncs with her to determine the truth.

After the left branch of Iris's Somnium, Date learns that Renju attempted to take her to an off-limits chemical plant. At the plant, Date finds a stolen prototype Psync Machine. Suddenly, Iris collapses, so Date attempts to save her by Psyncing, but fails. She dies in his arms, concluding the '''Iris Route'''. After the right branch of Iris's Somnium, Date doubts Iris and goes to Hitomi, who reveals that Iris has a malignant brain tumor causing her delusions. Iris goes missing, and Date eventually finds her body in the fishery warehouse. Aiba realizes the body is not Iris, and identifies it as Manaka Iwai, Hitomi and Renju's old classmate. Date learns from Hitomi that Manaka is Iris's birth mother, and she was killed 18 years ago by So Sejima's son Saito. Date also learns the truth of the Psync Machine: staying past the time limit causes the Psyncer and subject to swap bodies. Hitomi reveals she knows Iris's location, and takes Date to the chemical plant, where #89 knocks him out. The story locks, allowing the other locked route to be completed.

After watching Boss shoot So, Date finds and Psyncs with her. In her Somnium, he realizes that the murders were committed by one person using the prototype Psync Machine to swap bodies with each of the victims. Their eyes were removed because it was necessary for the machine to work. The killer, in Boss's body, identifies himself as Saito Sejima, and explains that the murders were revenge against Date for taking his body six years ago, Date's true identity is Falco, and #89 is Rohan in Falco's body. Saito convinces Date to swap bodies with him. Date complies, Aiba shocks Saito unconscious and Date blacks out, concluding the '''Annihilation Route'''.

In the final route, Date confronts Saito, who is now in #89/Falco's body having swapped with and killed Rohan. Saito forces them to switch bodies. In his original body, Date regains his memories and recalls how he attempted to save Iris and Hitomi from the yakuza by switching bodies with Rohan, but discovered the truth of the Cyclops Killings. Saito learned about Psyncing and used the prototype to swap bodies, but an accident caused both of them to lose their memories. In the present day, Saito prepares to kill Iris and Hitomi, but Iris's friends come to her rescue. With no other options to save Hitomi, Date activates Aiba's self-destruct function to kill Saito. With the case resolved, the police pay for Iris's treatment, and three months later she has made a full recovery. Iris takes Date to the warehouse district where Aiba appears in augmented reality. It is revealed that Aiba survived by downloading and recompiling the fragments of her personality in the cloud, and that the Boss replaced Date's prosthetic eye with Aiba earlier that day. The cast of the game celebrates by dancing to her song Invincible Rainbow Arrow, concluding the '''Resolution Route'''.

A young Somali man named Adan (played by Barkhad Abdirahman) is kicked out of his home and must survive on the streets of his hometown, Minneapolis. He begrudgingly befriends a stray dog, which brings him companionship. However, it also brings Adan further exile from his family, his friends, and his community, as caring for a dog as a pet may be seen as haram for Muslims, especially in Somali culture. The film explores loneliness and belonging with intimate shots of Minneapolis seen through the eyes of a downtrodden Somali immigrant.

Giovanni Passamonte, a writer, is awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. He is about to embark on a one-week road trip to Stockholm to receive the prize when his personal assistant, Rinaldo, injures his back and can no longer drive him there. His son Oreste, a personal trainer who had arrived that morning to crash at his father's place after an argument with his wife Barbara, is recruited to replace Rinaldo. Lucrezia, Giovanni's daughter by another woman, invites herself to the trip to document it as part of her online blog.

The trip becomes a turning point for the four characters: Giovanni is nostalgic and lamenting a lack of inspiration. He is secretly planning a big surprise at the award ceremony (but ultimately changes his mind) and decides to interfere and improve the lives of his three companions. His eccentricity is the cause of the trip and often results in comedic moments throughout the movie. He is afraid of flying (hence the road trip), doesn't like using credit card (Rinaldo carries more than 50,000 EUR in cash for any emergency), has had many love stories, some of which have produced children (at least 6).

Oreste is a former Olympic athlete turned personal trainer and owner of an ailing gym, too proud to ask his father for financial help, but willing to drive for him in exchange for a 15,000 EUR loan. Lucrezia is a neurotic blogger with the passion for art and literature. Rinaldo is a loyal assistant who has sacrificed much for Giovanni, including his only love interest. The trip offers Giovanni occasions to shake things up in the life of their companions and make them reflect on their story and identity. The movie ends with Giovanni's acceptance speech where he declares the insignificance of prizes in general and the importance of the people "off-stage", who lead regular lives.

The autobiography follows Chii as she navigates love, sexuality, and gender as a trans woman. She recounts her relationship with her boyfriend and eventual husband, and explains how she physically and legally transitioned.

Set in Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, high school student Tasuku Kaname prepares to commit suicide after his classmates discover gay pornography on his phone. Before he is able to do so, he witnesses a person jump from a window, only to discover they were unharmed in the building where they jumped from. Tasuku discovers that the building is an open "drop-in center", where he meets other people with various troubles and learns to accept his sexuality.

An egocentric artillery Captain and his venomous wife engage in savage unremitting battles in their isolated island fortress off the coast of Sweden at the turn of the century. Alice, a former actress who sacrificed her career for secluded military life with Edgar, reveals on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary, the veritable hell their marriage has been. Edgar, an aging schizophrenic who refuses to acknowledge his severe illness, struggles to sustain his ferocity and arrogance with an animal disregard for other people. Sensing that Alice, together with her cousin and would-be lover, Kurt, may ally against him, retaliates with vicious force. Alice lures Kurt into the illusion of sharing a passionate assignation and recruits him in a plot to destroy Edgar.

The story follows special police investigator Makoto, who has the power to read the memories of objects he touches. While investigating a laboratory explosion that was researching an unknown substance called "Exotic Matter" (XM), he touches the ring of a woman who was the sole survivor of the explosion and sees a horrifying vision that embroils him in a massive conspiracy.

An idealistic Soviet student goes on the run from the communist authorities with the help of the underground movement.

The film takes place in Ukraine during the Civil War. In the center of the plot is Apollo Shmiguev, loyal to all regimes, capable of benefiting from any situation.

The film tells about a group of Komsomol members who, in the early 1920s, remake the beer hall under the communal hostel. The organizer of the commune Boris together with his wife Nina leads a child and move to the apartment of the parents of the spouse, but they become very uncomfortable there and Boris moves back to the commune. Their city is under threat of flooding. Will the Komsomols save the factory's assets?

Marion Davies stars as a young woman who is left a fortune but only if she can fulfill her step-father's will by remaining unmarried and living with his brother Amos' family for a year. Of course if Mary refuses or is unable to do so the fortune instead goes to Amos and he has been waiting years for a chance at his brother's money. Amos has his plans to get the money and when handsome bachelor James Winthrop shows, up Mary things become even more complicated.

Sam, a musician living in Paris, visits his ex-girlfriend Fanny to recover music tapes left in her possession. Fanny is holding a party and brushes Sam off multiple times before telling him the tapes are in the office. Sam is accidentally bumped by a partygoer on his way to the tapes. Once there, his nose starts to bleed and he passes out. Sounds of chaos erupt outside the door of the office, but Sam sleeps through it.

The next morning, Sam wakes to find the apartment trashed, with blood stains on the walls and no one inside. He ventures into the stairway and discovers a zombified Fanny who charges at him when he calls her name. Locking himself in her apartment, he witnesses the death of a family from the apartment across the street who attempt to escape in their car. The apartment, which is several stories up, is the only safe location that Sam can find. The zombies have seemingly taken over all of Paris, are very fast moving, and respond in hordes to any sight or sound. They are also completely silent, making almost no noise and never vocalizing.

Unable to leave the apartment, Sam begins cleaning up until a shotgun blast erupts through the floor. Looking through the hole, he discovers that one of the residents below has committed suicide, after killing his wife, who he had bound to a chair after she became infected. He retrieves their shotgun and ventures outside, finding the zombies in the stairway gone. He quickly closes the doors to the building to seal himself inside. Sam explores the building's units one by one, finding most of them empty. He finds a zombified elderly man in the building's lift, binds the gate up, and begins conversing one-sidedly with the zombie whose name he learns is Alfred.

Sam successfully raids the building for a large quantity of supplies. He rations these and discovers musical equipment in one room, which he uses to entertain himself. As time passes, Sam becomes increasingly lonely and unhinged. Desperate for company, he attempts to capture a stray cat wandering aimlessly among the undead, but is nearly killed by several zombies. He makes it back to the apartment; enraged, Sam shoots the cat from the window. Fearing he was bitten, Sam nearly kills himself a second time when he falls asleep with the shotgun placed beneath his head while waiting to see if he would turn.

As winter approaches, he is forced to contend with a lack of heat, and the water supply to the apartment building stops working. Surviving by collecting rain water and creating a fireplace, Sam's mental state continues to decline. He notices one day that the streets are largely empty. Sam tests how far away the zombies are by loudly playing a drum set. The undead return in hordes and nearly climb onto the apartment's balcony by piling atop one another. An enraged Sam continues to play despite the danger.

That night, Sam hears movement outside his bedroom door and fires the shotgun through it. He hears cries of pain and realizes he shot another person. He attempts emergency medical aid and finds the woman's bag, which has a large amount of rope and a grapnel hook she uses to go from rooftop to rooftop. The next morning, Sam speaks with the woman, Sarah, who explains how she has survived. He retrieves supplies from the lowest apartment and kills the zombified occupants. She goes to the roof and tells Sam he will either die or go insane if he does not leave the apartment building. Sam at first brushes her off, but relents. He returns to his room and finds Sarah dead from the gunshot, apparently indicating that his conversations with her after he shot her were just a hallucination. He mourns her loss, eulogizes her, and covers her body.

Sam decides to leave the apartment, burning the tapes and releasing Alfred, who wanders into his nearby apartment where Sam locks him away. The burning tapes set off a fire alarm; zombies attack the building. They break down the doors and rush inside. Killing several, Sam manages to get to the roof and swings across the street to the next building, where he climbs to the rooftop and stares out into the seemingly endless skyline of Paris. He briefly hears a sound that might indicate the existence of other survivors.

In the year of Age 732, annexation of the Planet Vegeta is passed on from galactic warlord King Cold to his son, Lord Frieza. King Vegeta, ruler of the Saiyans, believes his son, Prince Vegeta, is destined to liberate their race from Frieza and rule the universe. He learns of Broly, a Saiyan infant born with a power level exceeding that of his son, and exiles Broly to the distant Planet Vampa where he, along with his father Paragus, are stranded after their spaceships are damaged. Paragus vows to raise Broly to exact revenge on King Vegeta. Five years later, in the year of Age 737, a low-class Saiyan warrior named Bardock grows concerned about Frieza's wickedness and he tells his wife Gine about his suspicions of Frieza. They send their infant son, Kakarot, to Earth. His fears are realized when Frieza destroys Planet Vegeta after learning of the legend of the ''Super Saiyan'' and ''Super Saiyan God'' that he fears both could one day appear to challenge him. The genocide of the Saiyan race occurs with only Broly and Paragus, Kakarot and his brother Raditz, Vegeta and his comrade Nappa, and Vegeta's brother surviving the destruction.

In the year of Age 780, forty-three years later, after the Tournament of Power, Kakarot, now named Goku, trains with Vegeta. Bulma is contacted by Trunks, who informs her that six of the seven magical Dragon Balls have been stolen by Frieza's soldiers who have come to Earth. Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and Whis travel to an arctic region to find the seventh Dragon Ball before Frieza can retrieve it. Meanwhile, Broly and Paragus are rescued from Planet Vampa by Cheelai and Lemo, two low-class soldiers in Frieza's military. They are brought to Frieza who recruits them to help him defeat Goku and Vegeta and the two groups come face-to-face on Earth where Paragus orders Broly to attack Vegeta.

Broly fights Super Saiyan Vegeta and his power and fighting abilities increase throughout the battle to the point of seemingly besting the Saiyan Prince in his ''Super Saiyan God'' form. Goku challenges Broly in his base form, ''Super Saiyan'', ''Super Saiyan God'' and ''Super Saiyan Blue'' forms and manages to gain the advantage. Frieza, remembering how Goku first transformed into the ''Super Saiyan'' form, responds by murdering Paragus using his signature ''Death Beam'' technique. Witnessing his father's death, Broly's latent Super Saiyan powers awakens. Now a mindless brute, Broly overwhelms both Goku and Vegeta in both of their ''Super Saiyan Blue'' forms, so they trick him into attacking Frieza while Goku uses his instantaneous movement technique to travel to Piccolo who helps teach Vegeta how to use the ''Fusion Dance'' technique. During their attempts, Frieza goes into his ''Golden'' form to fight Broly. After two failed attempts, Goku and Vegeta successfully fuse into Gogeta and return to the battlefield. Gogeta dominates the fight with ''Super Saiyan'', until an infuriated Broly powers up even further into his ''Super Saiyan Full Power'' form. Broly regains the advantage until Gogeta assumes the divine ''Super Saiyan Blue'' form, allowing him to take the advantage in the battle once again. The two Saiyans clash even more violently, breaking through multiple dimensions before arriving back on Earth.

Gogeta defeats Broly using ''Meteor Explosion'' and nearly kills him with an ''Ultimate Kamehameha'' but Cheelai and Lemo, who had formed a friendship with Broly, summon the eternal dragon Shenron with the Dragon Balls and use their wish to transport Broly safely back to Vampa. Frieza retreats, promising to return another time. Goku later meets with Broly, Cheelai, and Lemo on Vampa, wishing to be friends and providing them with various survival supplies, while also hoping to spar with Broly and offers to help teach him how to control his power. Before leaving, Goku tells Broly to call him Kakarot.

The TV show, which debuted Summer 2018, features these two retired Atlanta Detectives re-telling their most fascinating cases via narration and re-enactment using actors, Angelo Diaz and Chris Diaz, also known as The Diaz Brothers.

In 1932 Vienna, Austria, Professor Sigmund Freud begins providing psychological therapy to Count Geza Von Kösznöm, a depressed vampire who is unhappy with his centuries long marriage. Von Kösznöm's wife, Countess Elsa Von Kösznöm, is also a vampire and longs to admire herself but is unable to view herself in a mirror or have a portrait of herself painted. Freud offers his assistant, Viktor, to attempt to paint her portrait.

The Count observes Lucy, Viktor's girlfriend, recognizing her as a reincarnation of his first love Nadilla, a woman executed centuries ago. Geza attempts to seduce Lucy only to be interrupted by his wife. The next evening Elsa visits and hires Viktor to paint her portrait. Geza once again tries to cast a spell upon Lucy in order to bring back Nadilla but is discovered by Elsa, who bites Lucy but is chased away before she can kill her (anyone fed off of by a vampire transforms into one themselves unless their heart is removed from their body). Lucy starts transforming into a vampire. Ignaz, Geza's assistant, who is smitten with Lucy, kidnaps and performs a blood transfusion on her, allegedly stopping the transformation process. While trying to attack Geza, Else impales herself with a wooden stake and turns into dust. Geza breaks a fang attempting to bite Lucy through a Byzantine neck-piece. He flies off as a bat as Lucy falls to the ground, caught by Viktor. In the end it is revealed that the blood transfusions only temporarily restored her humanity as she is still a vampire. Freud has also develops minor vampiric abilities due to Lucy accidentally biting him earlier in the film while she was still going through the transformation into a vampire.

During the opening credits, a man in swimming trunks conducts a classical music orchestra in a clearing. Seeing the gendarmes in the distance, he tries to escape.

Finally, he is arrested and taken to the police station. In a large office, Commissaire Buron, after having had a telephone discussion, continues the questioning of the man who is seated in front of him, named Fugain, without allowing him to take a break to eat. Considered the prime suspect, Fugain discovered a man bathed in his blood outside his home. He searched the pockets of the corpse before calling for help, which surprised Buron who insisted on resuming the interrogation.

Buron goes out for a few moments to talk with his son and takes the opportunity to eat a hot dog. Meanwhile, Philippe, a novice one-eyed policeman, is tasked with monitoring Fugain. Philippe agrees to strike up a conversation and wants to show Fugain his police badge. He stumbles over an open drawer and falls dead, his one eye pierced by a square he held in his hand. Fugain, panicked, hides the body in a cupboard and quickly wipes away the traces of blood.

Buron returns and continues the interrogation. According to her testimony, Fugain's neighbor says she saw him leave her home seven times during the night. Watching the closet, Fugain explains in detail what he did during the night. Buron listens to him while smoking. As smoke comes out of his right side, he explains that he has a hole in his chest.

A little later, Philippe's wife announces to Buron that she is pregnant and is looking for her husband. Fugain lies and says he left because of a stomach ache. Like her husband, she makes it a habit to punctuate her sentences with "That's why", which annoys Buron.

During the interrogation, Fugain's memories mingle with reality. He sees Philippe, with the square planted in his eye, appear in his memories and interact with him. A little later, Fugain also sees Philippe's wife. He tells her that he will meet her and her husband a few days later during his interrogation and that Philippe will die accidentally.

Later, Fugain complains of being hungry. Buron, annoyed to see Fugain complaining, tells him that he too was very hungry for three days when his helicopter crashed on a desert island. Fugain sees Buron on the beach, which surprises Buron, not seeing anything. He ends up giving Fugain an oyster that a colleague has brought him. Fugain, having never eaten an oyster before, crunches the shell instead of swallowing it.

During Fugain's last memory, Buron appears in his apartment and interacts with him. After hearing screams, they leave the apartment and Buron notices the strange resemblance between Fugain's spy neighbor and one of his colleagues. Once outside, Buron asks Fugain to reconstruct the scene where he discovers the victim's body.

Back to the reality, Champonin, a colleague of Buron, brings the forensic report: the man found dead by Fugain was the victim of a "digestive hemorrhage". It's an accident and therefore Fugain expects to be released. Before leaving the room, Champonin finds an eye on the ground and deduces that it is Philippe's.

Fugain tries to explain himself but at the same time, the curtain opens: the police station is in fact the stage of a theater. The audience stands up and applauds, the characters salute. Moreover, Philippe, still alive, comes out of the closet and takes off his disguise; he is not one-eyed. They are all actors, except Fugain who believed he was really suspected of murder. They go to have dinner together in a brewery, evoke their acting and the first critics which fall.

Leaving the restaurant, Fugain, still confused, thanks Buron for this experience. Buron regains his seriousness and handcuffs Fugain, announcing that the interrogation will resume in the morning. Fugain is brought back to the police station and Buron returns home.

In a post-credits scene, at the theater, the audience watches a lowered curtain.

The film is based on the eponymous novel by Konstantin Fedin.

The film opens with a bear (who is the street performer) using a barrel organ (with a mouse and a piano inside of the box), and a monkey dancing to the music made by it. It was interrupted later by the inside as the mouse falls asleep. The bear woke the mouse up by yelling in his ear. And the mouse shocked himself as he started playing it professionally. The music and the dancing continues until Oswald throws his bubblegum onto the floor and the monkey steps on it. In an attempt to free himself, the monkey comically gets himself swallowed up by the gum. The street performer, who is angered by the events, grabs Oswald and drags him by the neck with a leach through whilst playing the barrel organ. He does this until he descends onto a street with a girl who is seen using her clothes and her washing line comically like a swing. The girl think positively about the music, who attempts to give money to them. The street performer notices this and asks Oswald to get the money, by comically using a mouse trap in order to get up to her house. However, when Oswald gets into the house, he and the girl passionately kiss. The street performer, then tries to pull Oswald back with the leach. So Oswald free himself by comically takes off his head and removing the leach. He places the leach onto one of the legs of a hippo's bathtub. Oswald then blows a raspberry in order to gather the street performer's attention. This angers the street performer, who pulls at the leach in order to retrieve Oswald. This comically sends the hippo's bathtub crashing through the window, and hitting the street performer on the ground. This makes the hippo scream, and comically run away with her legs in the bathtub. After that, The street performer sees both Oswald and the girl, and comically scales up a pipe in order to reach them. However, once the street performer is on top of the roof and tries to grab Oswald and the girl, Oswald and the girl both use a piece of clothing as a parachute, which catches the street perform off-guard, and also makes the street performer fall off the building and slam into the ground. After falling, the street performer realises that Oswald and the girl are stealing his barrel organ. So, in response, the street performer throws a brick at them both. The brick hits Oswald, who falls off the organ. The street performer then throws another brick. Oswald, then comically uses the organ to bat it away, like a baseball bat. He does this until one of the bricks hits the street performer on the head. This makes the street performer hallucinate, with the buildings comically dancing in his hallucination. The street performer hallucinates until he collapses. Oswald and the girl both laugh at the events, and the film ends with them both kissing.

Bishnu Hari (Bipin Karki), commonly known as Hari, is a strict religious man who is following rules set by his father, grandfathers and his strict mother known as Parvati. One day a bird excretes on him and then he starts looking for the answer of whether that was a blessing or a curse as he experiences fluctuating fortune in a series of events.

A young woman carrying an infant is chased by black-suited men. Some of the men are killed by a dog who sprouts black tentacles. The woman manages to hide the baby in a dumpster before she is killed by one of the men.

Years later, the infant, now grown to a 22-year-old young man and named Angelino, lives in a run-down apartment in Dark Meat City (DMC) with his friend Vinz and countless "pet" cockroaches. While making a delivery, Angelino is distracted by Luna, a beautiful young woman, and is hit by a truck. This causes Angelino to start having headaches and hallucinate. The MIB, strange men in black suits led by a white-suited man named Bruce, begin pursuing Angelino. Angelino calls his friend Willy, and they hide in the rundown crime neighborhood of Palm Hills. Angelino and Vinz are later found again by the MIB, who engage the local gangs in a gunfight, killing people from both sides. Elsewhere, a Luchador tells his comrades about a vision he had about a potential evil they must combat.

In the restaurant they frequent, Angelino and Vinz run into Luna, who is actually working with the MIB and gets the two captured. Luna's father, Mr. K, is the leader of an alien race called Macho who have infiltrated the Earth including politicians and the police in order to eventually colonize the planet. Angelino is the child of a Macho father and a human woman which results in unpredictable and potentially powerful combinations that Mr. K wants to exploit. Mr. K tries to brainwash Angelino and convince him to kill his friend Vinz, while Luna switches sides after witnessing Angelino's past. They are rescued by the group of Luchadors who have followed Angelino's pet cockroaches that instinctively tracked Angelino down, and are joined by a scientist named Fagor who was the only one out of several kidnapped scientists working with the Macho.

Crocodile (a MIB from earlier) arrives at Willy's house and holds him hostage. Angelino and Vinz decide to return and Angelino rescues Willy. The Luchadores and Fagor launch the rocket, triggering it to snow across the country, freezing and killing all of the hidden Macho, while causing a news helicopter to crash, destroying Willy's house and killing Crocodile. Angelino, being half Macho, begins freezing, but is saved by Luna's kiss and apologizes to him. Bruce arrives for a climactic fight against Angelino, who saves Luna from being killed and refuses to use his Macho powers. Before Bruce takes the opportunity to kill Angelino, the local gangs gun down him as revenge for previously invading their hood and for shooting their leader in the eye.

Two months later, everything goes back to "normal" with people forgetting about the incident. Vinz finally gets a job at the restaurant they frequent. Angelino writes letters to Luna who disappeared after his fight with Bruce despite not knowing where in DMC she is. Willy, who also disappeared after the fight, creates his first music single. Mr. K is shown to have survived and has set up a base on the moon, where he begins sending UFOs to potentially invade earth.

A terrorist plans a brutal attack in the middle of Christmas celebrations in Berlin. He highjacks a car outside Berlin, forcing the driver to take him to the center of the city so he can carry out the attack.

The film begins during the First World War. A former metallurgist goes to France as part of the Russian Expeditionary Force and there he kills a German sniper. Examining the documents of the sniper, he learns that the dead man also worked at a metallurgical plant, as a result of which he comes to the idea of the need for solidarity between the workers. After the war, returning to his homeland - to Russia, where he is employed by a brigade leader at the depot at the railway border station. Suddenly a group of bandits attacked the station. Defending himself and the station, the protagonist destroys the leader of the gang, who turns out to be his former commander.

After 28 years in America, Nathan Becker (David Gutman) comes to his former homeland, now the U.S.S.R., not knowing what to do. He brings with him his wife (Yelena Kashnitskaya) and a black friend, Jim, (Senegalese actor Kador Ben-Salim). Becker’s father (Solomon Michoels), has become an enthusiastic supporter of the Soviet Union. Still, when he first meets Becker’s friend The film takes place during the time of the first Five-Year Plan, which was an attempt to increase productivity in the Soviet Union. The construction of the city of Magnitogorsk is under way, and Becker gets a chance to work as a bricklayer. He scoffs at the way his Soviet counterparts lay bricks. “Soviet workers exercise before their working shifts. Bekker (sic) ridicules this idea: these are ballet dancers, not workers, he says.” Becker then challenges his Soviet counterpart to a contest which sets the mechanical American way of bricklaying against the Soviet method. “…the superior care given to the individual by state triumphs over mere mechanical efficiency.” Becker assumes when he loses that he will also lose his job and have to go home. But they ask him to stay, noting that they can learn “by adding his technical knowledge to their greater basic wisdom.”

Sunny Bunnies are fantastic creatures, who live on the sun. They can fly through a secret door onto the Earth with the help of the sun's rays. Before they leave their hot climate, they put on colourful warm coats made of sunny fur to keep them warm. The Bunnies can appear everywhere where there is light, and if the dark falls, anything from the moonlight to the light of the stars to even a candle light is enough to bring them to life.

Sunny Bunnies are full of joy. Any dull matter they happen to come across is turned into an exciting game, and any place they happen to be at into a playground. Wherever they appear – park, stadium or circus – the Bunnies find something to do straight away and make it fun. The Bunnies can laugh at each other and make jokes with each other, but they are always ready to lend a hand. They quite often end up in ridiculous and funny situations, but always find a solution to the most difficult of problems – all thanks to team spirit. When the game is over they come back home to the sun. That being said, these restless creatures can't stay still for long and pretty soon they set off on their travels again, going to new places and turning new adventures into fun-filled games.

The film tells about a couple who live easily and carefree. The wife becomes pregnant and gladly talks about it to her husband, but it upsets him and their life completely changes.

The film tells about the inventor Petra Vinogradov, who studies in the evening university and works at the car factory. He has a girlfriend, but the main character in secret from her begins to take care of another girl and gets into various funny situations.

The film opens with Oswald singing phrases of nonsense and playing a guitar. He is playing to his hippo girlfriend, Miss Hippo, who is at her window. She dances to the music, however whilst she is dancing, she slips and falls out of the window. She comically lands on Oswald, the force of which drives his body underground and erupting back to the surface in another spot. After that, Miss Hippo and Oswald both passionately kiss. However, during this, a Mexican cat girl appears. Oswald, who finds the Mexican girl more attractive then Miss Hippo, rejects Miss Hippo in order to pursue the Mexican girl. The Mexican girl begins to dance to Bizet's ''Carmen Harbanera''. Her dance ultimately ends with the girl kissing Oswald. Miss Hippo, in response to the Mexican girl's dance, begins to dance to the opening title theme of another Oswald film, entitled ''Hurdy Gurdy''. What follows is a dance-off between the two women, both trying to appease Oswald. At the end of the dance-off, Oswald rejects Miss Hippo for the Mexican girl. After that, Tory is seen heading to a bull game, to the music of Toreador Song, where he will be fighting a bull. In response to his presence, both girls comically reject Oswald and attempt to charm Tory, by following him to his location. Once they get there. Tory begins to fight the bull, comically in a boxing ring. He also comically draws a target on the bull's stomach. However, Tory loses the fight, as he is comically kicked in the buttocks by the bull and is flung out of the arena. Oswald, then spots Tory, and steals his hat and goes into the arena. Oswald's appearance is met with applause, including the two girls who rejected him earlier. Oswald then picks up a rag, and then dances with it, to anger the bull. His dance ends with Oswald placing the rag onto the bull's head and also stabbing the bull in the buttocks. Oswald then tries to stab the bull again with the sword, and that ends with Oswald comically cutting the bull like a potato. This does nothing, as the bull comically reassembles itself. The bull then tries to pursue Oswald. Their chase ends with Oswald ending up on a pole. The Mexican cat girl, who was watching Oswald from a podium, kisses Oswald, which makes him falls off the podium. This makes the bull go up the pole in order to catch Oswald. Oswald then gets a pin and comically hits the bull in the buttocks. Oswald does this until he leaves the pin there, so that the bull can not get off the pole. Oswald ends up winning the fight and the film ends with Oswald and the Mexican girl passionately kissing each other.

The basmachi organize an attack on a peaceful caravan heading to mountain villages, and take prisoners the old guide Sho-Murad along with his granddaughter Peri. Border guards with sheepdog Julbars fight to save the captives.

Andre Davis is a successful NYPD officer like his father, who was murdered on duty when Davis was 13. Struggling with his father's legacy, Davis has earned a reputation for killing several criminals over the years, although he claims they were all in self-defense and is uncomfortable with the label.

One night, Michael Trujillo and Ray Jackson, two small-time criminals and war veterans, attempt to steal 30 kilograms of cocaine from a wine shop in Brooklyn. They find three hundred instead, and when a group of officers from the NYPD's 85th Precinct arrives, Ray guns them down in a shootout, killing seven and wounding another, who later dies in the hospital. After they escape into Manhattan with 50 kilograms, Michael chastises Ray for putting them in jeopardy by killing cops. Assigned to the case, Davis and narcotics detective Frankie Burns come into conflict with Sgt. Butchco and Sgt. Dugan, who attempts to allow FBI agents to take it over. Reasoning that the criminals would have to sell the cocaine in Manhattan before escaping the state, Davis secures the reluctant approval of the deputy mayor, the FBI, and the precinct's head, Captain McKenna, for Manhattan Island to be locked down until 5 a.m.

As Ray and Michael go with their liaison, Bush, to meet their buyer, Hawk, who gives them $1 million, Davis and Burns manage to identify all three. Bush is soon gunned down by Butchco and Dugan in a nightclub. After catching Butchco planting his backup sidearm on Bush's body and briefly scuffling with him, Davis becomes more suspicious of his colleagues.

Adi, a money launderer, gives Michael and Ray new identities and tells them to depart for Miami the next morning. However, before he can secure their money in an offshore account, a team of police led by Lieutenant Kelly manages to locate and raid his apartment. Adi is mortally wounded but gives Michael two flash drives and their password.

Davis and Burns catch up to Michael and Ray; after accidentally killing a civilian, Ray is fatally wounded by Davis. Michael holds Burns at gunpoint, telling Davis about the drives and how suspicious everything is, before escaping. Burns scolds Davis for letting Michael escape despite Davis' reputation. In a hotel room, Michael unlocks the drives, realizing that McKenna's precinct was involved in trafficking the drugs from the winery and earning profits for it, and that some of the cops he and Ray had killed in the shootout had been corrupt. After another chase where Michael abandons his money, Davis manages to corner him on a subway train and convinces him to surrender, promising to keep him alive. Burns, who has also boarded the train, suddenly shoots Michael, claiming when he berates her that she thought Michael was still holding Davis at gunpoint. Michael secretly gives Davis the drives and password before dying. As the police congratulate the two for their efforts, Davis discovers that Burns had contacted Kelly before Adi's apartment was raided.

The next morning, McKenna returns home to find Davis holding him at gunpoint, having accessed the drives. McKenna explains that the officers went into drug trafficking because they were struggling to survive on a measly pay. Davis, refusing to walk away, kills the arriving Butchco, Dugan and Kelly – who were all on McKenna's payroll – then McKenna, who refuses to surrender. Burns, whom Davis deduced was also allied with McKenna, appears from behind and holds Davis at gunpoint, but surrenders after Davis reveals that he had already leaked the information online, exposing all the corrupt cops in New York, and reasons that her daughter would live without her mother should she get a life sentence for killing him.

In the aftermath, Davis solemnly drives along the Manhattan Bridge in the sunset, taking the drives with him.

After their son Luke leaves for college, Kate Conrad surprises her husband Drew with a second honeymoon to Zambia. Drew confesses that he is no longer in love with her and was waiting for their son to go to college before ending the marriage. Kate decides to go on the trip alone. At dinner that evening, a man at the bar, Derek, notices her and strikes up a conversation with her. Kate irritably confesses her situation and then leaves in a huff. The next day, Kate arrives for a chartered flight to her next resort, only to find Derek is the pilot. During the flight, Derek unexpectedly lands the plane in the wild. They discover a traumatized baby elephant whose mother has been killed by poachers. Kate is intrigued by the elephant and when the rescue team arrives, Kate (who years earlier had trained as a veterinarian, but no longer practices) offers her services.

At the sanctuary, Kate meets Derek's South African girlfriend, Leslie, who is part of the foundation that funds the sanctuary. Kate forms a special bond with the elephant she and Derek found, and Derek's friend Jonathan suggests the name “Manu”, which means “second son”. Kate extends her stay, even celebrating the Christmas season at the sanctuary. Her relationship with Derek deepens as they talk about their previous lives. But Kate is upset when she receives divorce papers from Drew at the Sanctuary. Luke comes to the sanctuary for Christmas and confesses he is unhappy in his business course; he wants to be a musician. Kate discourages him from this.

Leslie is angered when she discovers a portrait of Kate that Derek drew. Leslie asks Derek to go away with her, but he refuses and breaks up with her. She retorts that the board will cut funding for the sanctuary. Kate finally returns to New York, where she takes a job as a vet. She convinces her son to continue in college, but to study music. On New Year's Eve, Kate calls Jonathan, and he relays that the sanctuary cannot continue operating much longer due to the cut in funding. Kate begins a fundraising campaign by asking for help from her friends and ex-husband, and also sells her jewelry and other things. The fundraising is successful and the sanctuary stays afloat. After visits from pampered pets, Kate realizes her job as a vet in New York is not fulfilling her, so she sells her apartment then buys a one-way ticket to Zambia to be with Derek and the elephants.

Kate and Derek get married. When the day comes to release Manu back to the wild with other elephants, Derek and Kate tearfully say goodbye.

In the small town of Cispus Falls in central Oregon, Frank Weaver runs a meth lab out of an inactive mine. While his 7-year-old son Aiden waits outside in his truck, Frank and an accomplice are attacked by an unseen creature.

Three weeks later, 12-year-old Lucas Weaver, Frank's eldest son and Aiden's older brother, spends his time roaming the town, collecting roadkill and killing small animals before taking them home. Lucas's teacher, Julia Meadows, is alarmed by his strange behavior and frightening drawings, and attempts to bond with the troubled boy. She begins to suspect that Lucas is being abused and becomes determined to help him, spurred by her own experience of childhood abuse at the hands of her mentally ill alcoholic father. Since her father's recent suicide, she returned to Cispus Falls to be with her brother Paul, who is the local sheriff, and whom she feels guilty about abandoning when she was younger. Julia visits Lucas' rundown home and hears strange sounds.

A flashback shows Frank survived the attack, and set up a locked room in the attic after returning home with Aiden, who was also attacked, demanding that Lucas should keep them locked inside no matter what. Lucas is feeding his sickly, and now-ravenously feral father and brother with the animal carcasses he retrieves.

Half of the remains of Frank's accomplice are found in the woods by former sheriff Warren Stokes. Paul and Warren later discover the other part of Frank's accomplice in the mine along with a part of an antler. Meanwhile, Julia pressures the school principal Ellen into paying Frank a visit. Ellen discovers the room where Frank and Aiden are locked up, which she unlocks and enters. Frank kills Ellen before antlers burst out of his body. Frank, now transformed into a savage antlered creature, kills Lucas' school bully Clint Owens when Lucas is harassed by the boy.

Ellen is reported missing and Julia visits the Weaver house, where she finds Ellen's car. The police arrive and discover Ellen's body along with Frank's, which is now a charred husk. Aiden is nowhere to be found. When Lucas returns home, he is taken to the hospital, where Julia and Paul are told he is severely malnourished, dehydrated, and shows physical signs of having been abused for years. Julia decides to let Lucas stay with her.

The next day, while Lucas recovers in the hospital, Julia and Paul pay Warren a visit and show him Lucas' drawings. Warren identifies the figure as a wendigo, a legendary Algonquin creature that appears as a ravenous, cannibalistic spirit and jumps from person to person. It can only be killed when it is weakest: as it is feeding and to extinguish its beating heart. Clint's body is discovered that night. Lucas is discharged and learns that Frank is dead. He tells Julia that Frank is coming for him, to take him down to the mine to be with Aiden.

The transformed Frank uses Aiden to lure Paul's fellow sheriff Dan out and kill him. Julia and Lucas hide while Paul is badly wounded. Lucas escapes to the mine and Julia and Paul follow, armed with a pistol. Inside, Julia discovers Lucas and Aiden, and sees that Frank has indeed become a demon, currently feasting on a dead black bear. After a fight, she kills the wendigo-possessed Frank with Lucas' help. The wendigo spirit passes into Aiden and Julia stabs Aiden to death, seemingly ending the curse.

Sometime later, Paul and Julia discuss keeping Lucas with them for a while despite concerns he may become possessed as well. As Julia and Lucas leave, Paul begins to cough up a black bile, as Frank had when first possessed by the demon.

Former paramedic Janet Fals/Firebrand was killed during the invasion of the Dark Multiverse. After her body was released to Civil Solutions, they resurrected her by installing the Conflict Engine into her heart, which requires her to fight every 24 hours or she'll die. While working her shift at a VA hospital, she is attacked by Alden Quench/Bad Samaritan, who wishes to extract the Conflict Engine from her. During the attack, the Unexpected—Neon the Unknown, Viking Judge, and Ascendant—show up to help Firebrand. In the ensuing battle, Bad Samaritan manages to injure and draw blood from Neon, Ascendant, and Viking Judge, using the latter's ax, which he uses to hit Firebrand in the chest, causing an explosion that results in the deaths of himself, Ascendant, and Viking Judge. The explosion also creates a new isotope of metal.

Confederate Lieutenant Yancey is asked by Mary de Lane to meet her orphan Northern niece, Elinor. Yancey later takes time off from his duties to show Elinor where a "Confederate Ironclad" is being constructed. She promptly writes a letter to the "Commanding Officer, U.S. Gunboats", revealing the location and the fact the fort guarding it is "defenseless for want of powder".

A Union force storms Yancey's artillery battery and drives off the defenders. Yancey, away chatting with Elinor, hears the shooting and rides off to warn the detachment at the fort. Upon hearing that they have no powder, he remounts his horse and races to a powder train. However, the Union soldiers are not far behind. While a firefight rages, Yancey and Rose, his girlfriend, board the train and start it up. He is shot in the arm, leaving Rose to manage things. Meanwhile, Elinor attempts to stop the train by setting fire to a railroad bridge. The rear carriage, with some barrels of powder, catches fire, so Rose detaches it before it explodes. They deliver the rest of the powder to the Confederate soldiers. A fierce battle rages between the "Confederate Ironclad" and Union gunboats. The Confederates emerge victorious; one gunboat is set afire, forcing the crew to abandon ship. Elinor offers a Union officer her horse, but he insists she come with him. However, Yancey captures the officer at gunpoint. Elinor pleads with Yancey, to no avail, until Rose persuades him to let them go.

Primarily Anton Kandidov works in agricultural workб he carries watermelons on a boat across the Volga. Noticing how cleverly Anton catches and loads watermelons, he is told that he could become a goalkeeper and play football.

And Anton decides to follow the advice. On the way to the goalie glory, he is expected to win and disappoint.

The film begins with a scared female making her way through a labyrinth of pentagram-covered walls, hearing voices, trembling with fear. A figure runs past her.

A group of teenagers arrives in Los Angeles to visit several occult sites. Seth and Elise are goths and Chloe and David their friends. As they pass an abandoned building they see and photograph an unknown figure inside who is panicking.

The group registers at the Flower Hotel, where a Satanic priestess committed suicide in room 204 in 1972. During a Ouija board session, Elise claims she feels something. The group visits the Los Angeles Chapter of the Church of Satan, where patrons spit on them when they ask questions. They next visit a residence in the Hollywood Hills where Charles Manson and his followers murdered several people in 1969 including actress Sharon Tate. At the Black Door Shop, an occult and Satanic goods store, the owner asks them to leave when Seth sees a Satanic altar in the back room. The group spends the rest of the day in Venice, California. Upset about being evicted, the group decides to follow the shop owner. He enters a house and joins a Satanic ritual. A girl, later identified as Alice, appears to be an intended sacrifice. Chloe screams and the group flees to their hotel. Seth loses his phone in the commotion. The next day Alice calls them on Seth's phone.

They meet Alice and take her back to the hotel. She recognizes the room as the site of the suicide. They perform a ritual. Alice draws a pentagram on the wall, vomits and undresses, revealing scars from brands and cut marks. Then she slashes her own throat. The group reports the incident to the police and relocates to David's home. Elise uses the Ouija board to determine why Alice killed herself. David is alarmed when he discovers a pentagram drawn in condensation on a bathroom window. The group discovers the kitchen dirty, cutlery stuck in the ceiling and dead birds in the swimming pool. They return to the Black Door Shop and David aggressively interrogates the owner. The owner says they were not going to sacrifice Alice, they were expelling her from the group for being too extreme.

The group decides to leave Los Angeles. Elise suddenly feels unwell. Chloe discovers marks on Elise's belly. Elise goes into a restroom. She screams. Only her torn clothing remains and the stall is covered in scratches.

Seth enters an abandoned building when he hears Elise screaming. Chloe and David hear Seth screaming. They find three bloody marks on a pillar, then four marks carved on David's face. As he and Chloe flee the building, David vanishes. Terrorized, Chloe stumbles through a maze of sheets covered with pentagrams. She reaches a window and tries to get the attention of a passing car. The inhabitants of the car are Chloe, David, Seth and Elise, who take pictures and leave.

Chloe is unable to escape the building. She finds herself in a small dark room with scratches on the walls. Suddenly her mouth has been stitched shut and her arms have been amputated. The Devil picks up her phone and approaches her. The stitches prevent her from screaming.

In the 1980, A Sinhala boy, Sandares Edirisinghe (Devnaka Porage), and a Tamil girl, Vidya (Kavindya Adhikari), fall in love (It's love at first sight) on their way to the church at Gadagama. The girl, possessed by the Kalu Kumaraya (Jackson Anthony) (Sri Lankan folklore version of Incubus), can only be healed by Rev. Camilus Dabare (Shriyantha Mendis). Gharasarpa finds it hard to possess the girl because she has already fallen for Sandaras, proven true love can defeat the Gharasarpa (demonic possession). As Vidya has fully recovered, they leave the church after sharing postal addresses, hinting they will meet here after. In such a date in a cinema hall, Vidya informed because of the upcoming events of Sri Lankan Civil War in 80s, her family is forced to leave the country to settle in Canada. Because she is unable to leave Sandares, Vidya asked Sandaras to marry her. As he is just a 19-year-old school boy (Vidya was 18 years old by then) Sandares shows hesitation towards the marriage. Somehow Vidya left the country and settled in Canada, and few years later become a psychiatrist and married a Tamil doctor.

Kalu Kumaraya reaches Sandaras in an unexpected moment and convey the news that Vidya now is in Canada but promise Sandares, if she ever returns to the motherland he will definitely make them meet.

37 years later

Dr. Vidya Doraiappa returned Sri Lanka. As per the promise given by Kalu Kumaraya, he is in a mission to make former lovers meet. In that mission Ghrasarpa may turn Sandares's usual routine happy marriage life up side down.

Oswald's horse is sleeping in a human bed. Oswald enters the room and wakes the horse with a scream, telling it the race is today. The horse, who does not want to participate in the race, feigns illness, with music from "Oh! How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning". Oswald attempts to give castor oil to the horse, but because this is a laxative the horse dives through the wall and no longer pretends to be ill.

Oswald tries to weigh the horse with a scale, but he fails as the horse flattens it. Oswald whistles to a cigar-smoking, piano-playing dog to signal him to play a song. He plays while Oswald signals to the horse that he should do stretches. However, the poor execution of the stretches angers Oswald, who storms off. The horse goes up to the pianist and whispers that he should play something different. The horse dances to the new song; Oswald comes back and seeing the horse dancing he punches it in the gut, stopping it dancing. Oswald comments on the horse dancing rather than stretching.

Oswald realises the race is starting when he hears applause. He mounts the horse and quickly explains what is going on. The race begins without them, but the crowd clap as they start the race. As they reach their first opponent, Oswald uses his ear to burst the hippo that a dog is using for racing. The dog runs in place of the hippo, who is now tiny, and Oswald jumps over them on the horse to reach third place. As they get to the second-place racer, an elephant and a mouse, Oswald uses a match to burn up the elephant ending its life. The mouse attempts to run the rest of the race, but Oswald and the horse jump over the mouse to become second in the race that theme became dark moving on. Oswald gets to his final opponent and tries to tie their horse's legs into a knot. They pass the other racer to become the front runner, but Oswald's horse tires out and the racer they just passed overtakes them. Angry, Oswald yells at his horse with his early wooden whistle voices and feeds it a piece of fence to get over boulders ahead, but the horse swallows one of them, turns into a boulder, and flattens the opponent ahead. Oswald goes into the lead and runs the rest of the race himself to victory.

While Oswald is bowing and tipping his ears to the audience, his horse - still a boulder acting like a bouncing ball - flattens him, and tiny Oswalds and horses run around in different directions. 4 horses and 4 Oswalds in total (2 horses going left, and the other 2 going right. The 2 Oswalds go straight, and the other 2 went in the other way).

Martha, a woman dying of cancer, decides to forego further treatment, and relocates from her apartment in New York to a retirement community called Sun Springs in Georgia. When Martha arrives at Sun Springs, she meets community supervisor Vicki, who gives Martha a tour of the community, where she explains that every resident must belong to one of the community's clubs.

Martha moves into her new house and promptly meets her next door neighbor Sheryl. Later at night, Martha is unable to sleep due to loud noise coming from Sheryl's house, forcing her to call the community's security chief Carl to stop the noise. But Sheryl and her party sneak into Martha's house to evade Carl, where she convinces a reluctant Martha to allow them to hide there. From that night on, Sheryl becomes interested in being Martha's friend and invites her to various activities, but Martha resists.

Martha watches a television program about fireworks being used for funerals, and makes plans to use fireworks for her own funeral. A few days later, she accepts Sheryl as a friend, and while getting to know each other, Sheryl learns that Martha was a cheerleader, where she had to quit before her first game to care for her ailing mother. Sheryl says that Martha should try to be a cheerleader again. After thinking about it, Martha goes to see Sheryl at a high school where she works as a substitute teacher and convinces Sheryl to help her start up a cheerleading club in Sun Springs.

After convincing Vicki to allow them to start the club and to recruit the minimum requirement of eight members, Martha and Sheryl hold tryouts. Six women join: Olive, Alice, Ruby, Evelyn, Phyllis and Helen. Martha hires Sheryl's teenage grandson Ben to be their DJ. As the group commences practicing, it quickly becomes difficult for them due to their age and physical conditions. When Vicki tells them they have to find a new place to practice, Sheryl reacts by getting them a spot at a pep rally at the high school. In the locker room before the rally, they get teased by a group of younger cheerleaders, particularly Chloe, one of Sheryl's students. During the pep rally, Martha's group performs okay until Helen hurts her ankle. When Helen is taken to the hospital, they discover from Ben that a video of them at the pep rally has gone viral. In addition with Helen's overbearing son Tom threatening the group with a lawsuit due to her injury, Vicki and other members of the community vote unanimously to disband the club.

With the group going back to their routine lives, Martha invites Sheryl to her house for a drink. When Sheryl watches the video of them, she hears a girl's voice and recognizes it as Chloe, leading her and Martha to blame Chloe for posting the video. They go to Chloe's house and berate her, but Chloe, who has become sympathetic for them, starts crying because she didn't know that her friends would post the video. When Chloe apologizes, Martha and Sheryl forgive her and tell her that they're reassembling the cheerleading squad and need Chloe's help. Chloe agrees to become their choreographer and their coach. Back at Sun Springs, Martha inspires her teammates to come back together so they can prove everybody wrong and show that they can be a team if they work together.

With Chloe coaching them, the group improves greatly as they prepare for an upcoming cheerleading competition. Meanwhile, Martha's cancer, which she has kept secret from the group, has progressed. After leaving a group party, she collapses while walking home. In the hospital, she tells Sheryl that she's not going to the competition and is scared about dying. Sheryl urges Martha to continue her cheerleading despite her suffering.

The next day, Martha and the group rescue Helen from Tom by springing her from her bedroom and escapes from a pursuing Vicki and a sympathetic Chief Carl as they make their way to the competition. Many men from the community, including Chief Carl, gladly attend the competition. The group performs successfully and wins the audience and the other cheerleading teams over. The next scene shows a firework going off, indicating that Martha has died and had her funeral.

A year later, the group has added new members to their squad. They get ready to perform in another cheerleading competition, both as a charity benefit for cancer and in memory of Martha. During the end credits, video clips show other people doing the same kind of dancing that Martha and the group have done.

Don Cossack Pugachev, leader of the Peasant war of 1773–1775 in Russia. Using rumors that the Emperor Peter III of Russia was alive, Pugachev called himself him; he was one of several dozen impostors posing as Peter, and the most famous of them.

Returning home from Germany, Sean Floyd plans to go to the woods for spring break with his friends Jeremy Abelar and Donnie. Unbeknownst to Sean or Donnie, Jeremy has invited his younger sister, Becky, who recently broke up with her boyfriend Chad, and her friend Sarah, who Donnie used to date. Donnie and Jeremy encourage Sean to make a move on Becky, whom he has a crush on. Jeremy assures the group that the trip is safe, while the rest worry as it took them 6 hours to reach their destination. Arriving at the campsite, Sean attempts to make a move on Becky but is interrupted by Donnie, who takes him along to pester a peeing Jeremy. Because of them startling him while he's playing with a knife, Jeremy accidentally cuts off his own penis. Sean takes everyone's phones to find an area with service and calls 9-1-1. He also angrily texts Chad from Becky's phone, before accidentally losing all the phones. Paramedics arrive in a helicopter, and Sean gives them a cooler containing Jeremy's penis.

After the paramedics leave, the group finds the penis in a different cooler and realize that Sean gave the paramedics the wrong cooler. At the hospital, the nurse reveals the dilemma to Jeremy, who is distraught due to the fact that she does not have any faith in the group. Having gotten lost in the woods trying to find their car, the group finds a radio tower. Believing they can send someone a signal, they go inside and find a rattlesnake. Startled, Becky tosses the cooler towards it, and the snake bites the penis. After Sean has sucked out the venom, Sarah discovers a drone secretly following them and chases it, but falls into water at the bottom of a ravine. The rest follow, and they swim across the ravine and find the owner of the drone, a foul-mouthed 11-year-old boy out camping with his dad. He tries to bribe Sarah and Becky into scissoring in front of him in exchange for the keys to his dad's boat. Becky and Sean scare him by talking about penises being cut off, allowing the group to steal the boat, although they are attacked by his dad, who thinks the group molested his son.

They find their car and head to a gas station where Jeremy had previously had bought booze using his fake soldier ID. The gas station clerk cleans the penis as an act of patriotism. Afterwards, he sees Donnie's high school ID and realizes they lied about being soldiers - he chases their car as they escape and hits Donnie in the shoulder with an arrow through his headboard. They head to the hospital and give the penis to the doctors. After the surgery, they head inside Jeremy's room to find a different man named Reginald, and realize there was a misunderstanding and Jeremy's penis was put on Reginald instead. In a heated argument, Donnie tells Becky about Sean texting Chad from her phone. She calls Chad to pick her up, and Sean and Donnie visit Reginald, who is now awake. They explain the situation and Reginald tells them how his girlfriend cut off his penis as revenge for him cheating with her sister. The doctor tells Sean and Donnie to go get Reginald's penis, which was just found and turned in, with the hopes of attaching it to Jeremy. However, Reginald's girlfriend suddenly comes to visit and ends up cutting off his penis again. Sean and Donnie fight her and retrieve Jeremy's penis. They meet up with Becky and Sarah, and Sean apologizes to Becky and tells her she shouldn't be with someone who cheated on her. She accepts the apology and the four of them leave together.

After figuring out that the hospital had likely registered Jeremy under the name on his fake ID, they call the first hospital they had visited and finally deliver Jeremy's penis. While Jeremy is in surgery, Donnie and Sarah reconcile and decide to give their relationship another chance. Becky and Sean apologize to each other and start a relationship.

When Sean is about to return to Germany, Jeremy is released from the hospital and introduces his girlfriend, Kendall Jenners, whom the rest believed was fake after he repeatedly mentioned her throughout the trip. Donnie and Sarah rekindle their relationship and, with everyone goading them, Becky and Sean share a long kiss.

The Magic Order is a group of five families of wizards. Members of the Order are allowed to live among the rest of society while secretly using their magic to protect the world from supernatural and magical threats. The story focuses on the Moonstones, one of the families of the Magic Order.

The assassination of one of their magicians, Eddie Lisowski, alerts the Order, whose members then deduce that an unknown enemy is intent on picking them off one by one. Leonard Moonstone and his son Regan along with other members of the Order attend the Ceremony of the Broken Wand at Lisowski's funeral. Madame Albany and her fellow dark magicians appear and antagonize other funeral attendants. Regan accuses Albany of being the mastermind behind Lisowski's assassination as she proceeds to leave the ceremony. The unknown assassin attacks another member of the Order, Dong-Sun. Regan visits his brother Gabriel—a powerful magician who has left the magic world—to request assistance, although to no avail. The rest of the Order, including Leonard's reckless, alcoholic, escapologist daughter Cordelia, held a meeting at Moonstone Castle, a castle hidden in an oil painting exhibited in the Art Institute of Chicago guarded by Uncle Edgar.

The members suspect Madame Albany's intention to acquire the Orichalcum, an indestructible magic tome containing the dark spells of Old Atlantis, so powerful it is "said to cause two World Wars' and can slay a deity". The tome was sealed and left to Leonard by his uncle, Conrad.

Regan and Cordelia investigate a break-in at the Vault to find the Horologium, a time-eater from the fourth dimension, and a Soul Camera stolen. Madame Albany and her mysterious assassin, the Venetian, assassinates three other members of the Order: Willie, Edith the Librarian, and Moe.

Regan and Cordelia continue to seek information regarding Madam Albany's assassin after interrogating Rufus. Leonard visits Gabriel to seek help fighting the new threat, a request Gabriel refused. A flashback revealed that Gabriel's daughter, Rosetta, was killed in an accident involving his magic wand; traumatized, he left the magic world behind.

Madame Albany continues to perfect her plan in destroying the Order at the Black Kingdom. Albany is enraged after her father, the wizard Conrad, decided to bequeath the Orichalcum to Leonard instead of her since she is dangerously unstable. One night at the Coliseum Theater, where the Moonstones have worked as professional stage magicians for years, the Venetian confronts Leonard. After a brief struggle, the Venetian unleashes a magical monster called Theonoba to finish him.

Following their father's death, Regan and Cornelia were advised by Uncle Edgar to attempt negotiation with Madame Albany at Abington Hotel, a 'wizards only' hotel existing outside time and space. Although the siblings offer peaceful resolutions, Albany aggressively threatens to destroy them and the entirety of the Magic Order. The siblings learn that Gabriel is currently being targeted by the Venetian.

Realizing his neighborhood is under attack by the Horoglobin, Gabriel uses his magic to save his wife, Louise, defeat the creature and trap it as his siblings arrive. The three siblings hunt down Madame Albany and her allies after they shelter Louise at the Moonstone Castle. . They interrogate Angus, Madame Albany's gatekeeper, pertaining Madame Albany's whereabouts before trapping him within the magical version of the book "The Island of Doctor Moreau".

The siblings proceed to Madame Albany's hideout at the Charles Laughton Theater in Los Angeles. Entering the Black Kingdom, they eventually corner her. Gabriel, much to Cordelia's shock, killed Regan under Madame Albany's instruction. 'Louise', who turns out to be Madame Albany's shapeshifting henchman Lord Cornwall tasked to infiltrate the castle and retrieve the Orichalcum, incapacitate Uncle Edgar while the real Louise waits for Gabriel, accompanied by Albany's allies.

Gabriel then states that the attack on him was a charade, revealing himself as the Venetian. He had conspired with Madame Albany, who promised to resurrect his daughter in exchange for his help to obtain the Orichalcum and destroy the Magic Order. Cordelia, seemingly outnumbered by Albany and her allies, revealed that she had memorized the entirety of the tome. She uses the spells to resurrect the dead members of the Order including Regan and Leonard, sacrificing Albany's allies to do so. Back at the Moonstone Castle, Uncle Edgar confronts Lord Cornwall. His attack was unsuccessful as he is quickly obliterated by Uncle Edgar, who revealed himself to be a powerful deity.

Leonard, after an intense battle, manages to kill Madame Albany. An enraged Gabriel overpowers the Magic Order members, demanding they surrender so he can have his daughter back until Cordelia offers Gabriel to sacrifice himself to resurrect his daughter. Gabriel accepts, and he dies as his daughter is resurrected. Cordelia and Edith decide to trap Louise within the magical version of the book "Crime and Punishment", while Regan takes Rosetta under his care. After the Ceremony of the Broken Wand at Gabriel's funeral, Leonard decides to resign and entrust Cordelia to continue his role and leadership, thus restoring their relationship.

At an elite high school in Berlin in the early 1930s: all of the high school seniors, who all came from higher circles, adhere to a conservative concept of morality and honor. When the building contractor Haller is accused of fraud, the class boycotts his son Erich, much to the dismay of the class teacher, Dr. Herman. Only Erich's classmate Möller and his sister Grete stick by him. His classmate Herbert von Pahl told Erich that he would take his own life in the same situation. Dr Hermann makes it clear that nobody is responsible for the actions of others, only for one's own actions. He unequivocally expresses that he does not consider suicide to be a sign of strength and heroism, but rather weakness and cowardice.

The insecure Erich tries to gain clarity, but he reaps scorn and cynicism. Although his disillusioned stepmother worries about Erich, she has long since turned her back on his father and is leaving the family by eloping with an admirer. When it turns out that von Pahl's father is also involved in the affair, Herbert puts his announcement into action. The shaken Erich is plagued by self-doubt and wanders aimlessly through Berlin. Disturbed by his disappearance, Dr. Hermann and his classmates in Treptower Park after him. In the meantime, he visits his father, who is now in custody. He mocks Erich and confesses that it would have been best if he had never married and, above all, never had children. Erich realizes that he has nothing in common with his father and looks for Dr. Hermann in his apartment. The next morning, Erich and Dr. Hermann enters the classroom and is enthusiastically received by his classmates.

The film is based on the eponymous book by Korney Chukovsky. Aibolit meets a little boy and decides to help him.

In the year of 1958, Egon Olsen, the child genius, tries to escape the orphanage where he lives by setting himself up to be adopted by a rich couple. Problems arise when it turns out that the couple are rocket scientists who want to use him as a test subject to be sent into space.

In 1927, the Crawleys receive word that King George V (Jones) and Queen Mary (James) intend to visit Downton during their royal tour of Yorkshire, exciting both the family and the staff. As the servants begin preparations, Lady Mary (Dockery) feels that Barrow (James-Collier) is ill-equipped to manage such an important event and thus recruits Carson (Carter) to briefly exit retirement in order to assist, much to Barrow's chagrin. When the boiler breaks down, a repairman shows up and seems to be flirting with Daisy (McShera), making Andy (Fox) jealous. Shortly thereafter, members of the royal staff begin to arrive at Downton in advance of the King and Queen themselves. While Richard Ellis (Brown), the King's valet, treats the Downton staff kindly, the rest of the entourage are arrogant and rude, making it clear that the royal staff intends to supplant that of Downton for the duration of the visit. In addition, small items keep disappearing from the house.

Bertie and Edith Pelham, Lord and Lady Hexham (Hadden-Paton and Carmichael) arrive the day before the royal couple is due to visit. Later that evening, chairs for the parade seating are delivered during heavy rain, and Lady Mary leads a messy group effort to position the chairs for the next day. The weather clears and the King and Queen arrive at Downton, where they are introduced to the Crawley family. Violet (Smith) exchanges cold pleasantries with the Queen's lady-in-waiting Maud (Staunton), who is Robert's (Bonneville) first cousin once removed, and Tom (Leech) meets her maid Lucy Smith (Middleton). Violet begrudges Maud for her decision to bequeath her estate to Lucy rather than to Robert.

Meanwhile, in the village, Tom encounters a mysterious man identifying himself as Major Chetwode (Moore), whom Tom initially believes is assessing security ahead of the royal visit and parade. Later, when the parade is set to begin, Chetwode prepares to assassinate the King in the staging area but is thwarted by Tom, whom he mistakenly believed was an ally because of their shared Irish origins, and Lady Mary, who disarms him after Tom pins him to the ground. After the parade, Tom encounters a woman sobbing on Downton's lawn. Unbeknownst to him, the woman is Princess Mary (Phillips). She laments her failing marriage, but Tom lifts her spirits and ultimately motivates her to remain with her husband.

Anna (Froggatt) and Mr. Bates (Coyle) rally the Downton staff into retaking control of Downton's operations while the royal couple is still visiting. Barrow and Ellis trick Mr. Wilson (Haig), the Page of the Backstairs, into ordering some of the royal staff to return home to London early. Anna slips a strong sedative into the tea of the royal chef, Monsieur Courbet (Spall), and Wilson himself is "accidentally" locked in his room. Anna has surmised that Miss Lawton (Lynch), the Queen's dresser, is stealing the house's items and leverages her knowledge of Lawton's crimes to compel her to alter a gown for Lady Hexham. Then the Downton staff, with the assistance of Mr Molesley (Doyle) and Albert (Watson), manage the dinner that marks the end of the royal visit. The revised menu elicits high praise from the King, which in turn prompts Molesley to break protocol and announce that it was the Downton staff, not the royal staff, that produced it.

That evening, Barrow and Ellis make a trip to York. Ellis visits his parents, while Barrow waits for him at a pub. A man at the pub invites Barrow to an underground gay nightclub, but shortly after their arrival there, police raid the venue and arrest the attendees. Ellis, also a closeted gay man, soon learns what happened and uses his position in the royal household to get Barrow released from police custody. Isobel (Wilton) deduces that Lucy is Maud's illegitimate daughter, which is why she stands to inherit Maud's estate. Isobel challenges Maud to explain the situation to Violet.

The next morning, Henry (Goode) returns home after traveling abroad and joins the Crawleys at Harewood House, along with the royal family. During the ball that evening at Harewood, Princess Mary informs her parents that Tom helped save her marriage by convincing her to remain with her husband, and she encourages the King to speak with Tom. He approaches Tom and expresses gratitude, also implying that he's aware of Tom's role in thwarting the assassination attempt at the parade.

The King releases Bertie from his obligation to join the Prince of Wales on a three-month tour of Africa, which the King had requested earlier in the visit. Bertie had initially accepted the commitment, but he later wished to back out of the trip after learning of Edith's pregnancy. Thanks to Cora (McGovern) and the Queen's intervention, the King had a change of heart and rescinded his request. Meanwhile, Maud privately confesses to Violet that Lucy is her daughter, which is why she made Lucy her heir instead of Robert. Violet finally understands the situation, and the two reconcile. Violet then begins plotting to keep Maud's estate in the Crawley family in the future through a union of Tom and Lucy, as she had taken notice of the pair's budding romance earlier.

Finally, Lady Mary quietly asks Violet about her visit to London. Violet informs her that she had gone for a doctor's visit, during which she learned that she may not have long to live. Mary is distraught, but Violet assures her that Downton and its legacy are safe in Mary's hands. As this conversation continues, Tom finds Lucy on the terrace, and the two dance in the dark while listening to the music played inside at the ball.

The film tells about the readiness of the Red Army to defend the Soviet Union in the event of an enemy attack.

Michael Vaughn (Sommer) is a fake psychic touring the U.S. to promote his "mediumship" and book. Unknown to other audience members, Vaughn's girlfriend Chelsea (Froggatt) participates as a shill for his hoaxes, which have finally alienated his elderly parents (Harris and Madigan). After a recent stop in the Southwest, Chelsea also begins to lose momentum from the dishonesty of Vaughn's work and the lack of money it has generated.

Before heading to a Tucson symposium, Vaughn is knocked out and kidnapped by Nathan (Collins Jr.), who attended the last conference but was reluctant to get a reading. Vaughn learns (while tied to a chair) that Nathan murdered a man named "James Bishop" in a botched mugging, and wants Vaughn to "communicate" with Bishop's spirit. Nathan expresses remorse in the unsolved crime and also wants Vaughn to talk to Bishop's daughter, Stacy, who became a cause célèbre after her father vanished twenty years ago.

Nathan leads Vaughn to the burial site of Bishop's remains; seeing the discovery as a personal opportunity rather than closure for the Bishop family, Vaughn contacts the local news station while authorities excavate the ground for Bishop's remains. Searchers find skeletal traces of Bishop's body, and Vaughn instantly becomes a star psychic. While he waits permission to talk to Stacy, his association with Nathan becomes less a captor/captive relationship and more an accomplice aiding and abetting a fugitive. Chelsea notices Vaughn on national television and begins to see more duplicity, as she believed he was kidnapped and under duress.

After some hesitation, Stacy agrees to a televised reading with Vaughn. She proves him a fraud by identifying events and people that never happened in her life or the way he claimed, specifically a "Miss Angeline", another debunked psychic. The hosts on the show deduce someone (other than a supernatural presence) told Vaughn the location of her father's remains. Angered by the interview, Nathan kidnaps Chelsea and threatens Vaughn to either correct the situation, or he'll turn himself into authorities and confess what's going on.

After tricking Nathan into dropping his knife, Vaughn bludgeons him to death with a torque wrench and disposes of his body. Rather than forgive him for his deceitfulness and start over, Chelsea leaves Vaughn to get arrested by the town's authorities.

Not long after - while serving time in prison - Vaughn notices Chelsea on TV being interviewed by Dr. Phil. It's revealed that she capitalized on Vaughn by writing a bestseller about his confidence tricks.

''Tiger'' is inspired by the true story of Pardeep Singh Nagra, a practicing Sikh man who was banned from the sport of boxing due to his religious beliefs. Pardeep fights back with the support of his coach and mentor (Mickey Rourke) and a community lawyer (Janel Parrish). Obstacles faced include racial profiling by public officials, overtly racist threats, jealous rival boxers and pressure to change from loved ones. It is within the course of these challenges, and at his weakest moment, that he discovers love (Janel Parrish). Consequently, his legacy will be forever tied to his two biggest battles; one in the courtroom, the other in the ring.

Buffalo Boys opens in the American West. Its two protagonists, a pair of brothers named Jamar (Ario Bayu) and Suwo (Yoshi Sudarso), have just finished working with their uncle on the Transcontinental Railroad. While riding a train on their journey back to Indonesia, the pair fight against a band of white gangsters—foreshadowing what’s to come. Upon arriving in Indonesia, Jamar and Suwo get caught up in the struggles of a Javanese village against an evil Dutch administrator named Captain Van Trach. Together, the brothers must fight Van Trach and his henchmen to free native Indonesians from colonial oppression.

Opening

In a flashforward, "Gene" has collapsed at the Omaha Cinnabon and is raced to the hospital, but is discharged after doctors confirm he did not suffer a heart attack. As Gene leaves, the receptionist stops him to obtain billing information. She has difficulty processing Gene’s identification, making him apprehensive, but she quickly realizes her mistake and corrects her error. Gene takes a taxi to the mall, where his car is parked, but becomes uneasy when he sees the driver is making eye contact and he recognizes an Albuquerque Isotopes air freshener on the rearview mirror. He asks to be let out before reaching the mall, then walks quickly and anxiously around the corner and out of the driver's sight.

Main story

Howard calls Jimmy and Kim about the fire at Chuck's, and they arrive as Chuck's body is taken away. Jimmy sees the appliances outside Chuck's home and realizes his electromagnetic hypersensitivity symptoms returned. He falls into a deep depression which Kim tries to help him out of. Howard takes on the responsibility of arranging Chuck's funeral.

Mike receives his first payment from Madrigal Electromotive as a contracted security consultant, which Gus arranged to launder the money Mike stole from the Salamancas. Though it was meant to be a paper transaction, Mike enters a Madrigal facility, performs a detailed audit, and turns the results over to the manager with instructions to let Lydia know he was there.

Following Mike's advice, after Hector's stroke Nacho takes the fake capsules containing ibuprofen from Hector and replaces them with Hector's real nitroglycerin. He tries to dispose of the fakes but is interrupted by Gus, who says they need to meet with Juan Bolsa. Juan puts Nacho and Arturo in charge of the Salamanca operation for the time being. Afterwards, Nacho drives to a bridge and throws the fakes away, unaware Victor has followed him.

Several of Chuck's friends and associates attend his funeral and give Jimmy their condolences. After the service, Howard tells Jimmy and Kim he believes he is responsible for Chuck’s death, because he forced Chuck out of HHM after their malpractice insurance premium increased. Jimmy conceals his role in causing the increase and immediately regains his happy-go-lucky demeanor.

Nacho aids Victor and Tyrus in making it appear that Nacho's car was attacked and the drugs he and Arturo picked up at Los Pollos Hermanos stolen, including riddling the car and Arturo's body with bullets and shooting Nacho twice. Nacho calls the Cousins, who burn the car and take Nacho to veterinarian Dr. Caldera, who succeeds in saving Nacho's life.

Juan Bolsa tells Gus that because drug and cash shipments have been disrupted several times, Gus should begin investigating the feasibility of making meth within the United States rather than relying on cocaine from Mexico, unaware this is what Gus intended. Gus visits Gale Boetticher, a post-graduate student and researcher at the University of New Mexico, who reports on the poor quality of a meth sample Gus asked him to evaluate. Gale says he could produce a higher quality product, but Gus assures him he is destined for better things.

Jimmy asks Mike to steal a valuable Hummel figurine from Neff Copiers and replace it with an inexpensive one that looks similar. Mike refuses, so Jimmy turns to Ira. Ira agrees, but during the theft, he finds one of the owners is sleeping in the office. Ira calls Jimmy, who creates a distraction that enables Ira to leave with the Hummel.

Kim returns to work on the Mesa Verde account. Bank president Kevin Wachtell welcomes her back and shows her plans for the bank's aggressive expansion. Concerned about the rate of growth, and increasingly bored with banking law, Kim gives the work to her paralegal Viola Goto, and asks to be dropped off at the courthouse.

The next morning, Kim gives Jimmy Chuck's letter. Kim offers to leave so he can read it alone but Jimmy insists she stay. The letter is undated but appears to have been written when Jimmy worked in HHM's mailroom. On the surface the letter is full of praise, but it is slightly condescending and contains backhanded compliments. Jimmy calls it "nice", but Kim begins crying and runs off to their bedroom.

Opening

In a flashback, Mike pours concrete for a carport and allows his young son Matty to write his name in it. Mike is revealed to be discussing Matty at a group therapy session with Stacey and ends by saying "You wanted me to talk. I talked."

Main story

Jimmy is offered a manager’s position at a cellular phone store. He initially declines, but when Kim suggests he see a therapist, he accepts. The store sees little traffic and Jimmy becomes bored. Ira pays Jimmy his share of the profit from the stolen Hummel figurine and offers to steal again in the future. Ira says he uses a new phone for every job, so the best way to reach him is through Dr. Caldera. Jimmy is inspired to re-sell pay as you go phones on the street.

Kim spends the day in Judge Munsinger's courtroom. During a recess he warns her that if he sees her in his courtroom again, he will assign her ''pro bono'' work. When Munsinger returns to the bench, Kim is still there.

As part of covering up the fake attack on Nacho and Arturo, Victor sells the Salamancas' portion of the drugs to the Espinosa gang. After Nacho tips them off, the Cousins raid the Espinosas, killing most of them and recovering the drugs, then returning to Mexico to avoid the police. Nacho recognizes that Gus can now expand his drug territory but does not yet see the full scope of Gus’s plan. Nacho convinces his father to let him stay with him while he recovers from his wounds.

Mike tells Anita that Henry, another member of their support group, is lying about his past, falsely claiming to have a wife who died. At the next meeting, which was shown in the opening, Stacey says she was able to get through most of a day without thinking of Matt, causing Mike to confront Henry. Having been exposed, Henry wordlessly leaves. Mike then condemns the group for being so self-absorbed they were unable to see through Henry's falsehoods.

After performing another Madrigal site inspection, Mike meets with Gus, who feigns anger that Mike did not tell him Nacho intended to kill Hector. Mike points out that he previously promised only not to kill Hector himself. Mike guesses Gus has another motive for the meeting and asks for details about "the job" Gus wants done.

Opening

In a flashforward to 2010, Saul Goodman and Francesca frantically clear out his office. She agrees to be at a telephone booth on November 12 at 3 p.m. to receive a call. He gives her money and an attorney's business card and tells her that if she needs help she should say "Jimmy" sent her. As she leaves, Saul claims the last few years have been "quite a ride", then calls Ed Galbraith for a new identity.

Main story

In 2003, Jimmy sells pay-as-you-go phones to a customer who saw his "privacy sold here" sign. He then starts selling prepaid phones on the street, but the venture proves unsuccessful when he is mugged by three teenagers. Kim tends his wounds while Jimmy is concerned that he did not realize the teenagers' intent because he was not thinking clearly. He promises to call the psychiatrist Kim recommended, but the next day he returns to CC Mobile and removes the storefront sign.

Mike escorts engineers through the laundry to evaluate it as a site for Gus's planned underground meth "superlab." One glibly asserts he can easily do the job, but is turned away by Gus, who listens in from a nearby room. Another, Werner Ziegler, impresses Gus by forthrightly expressing his concerns about the risk, calling it difficult but not impossible. Gus offers him the job of planning and overseeing the lab's construction.

Kim thrives in the environment of her ''pro bono'' criminal defense work. While she waits for a client to dress before going to court, Paige calls from Mesa Verde and insists they need her help immediately to fix recently filed paperwork. Kim sees her criminal case through, then goes to Mesa Verde. Paige informs her that the bank's legal staff had to drop everything and fix the problem, reminding her that when she became Mesa Verde's outside counsel, she promised that the bank would be her sole focus. Kim apologizes and promises it will not happen again.

Jimmy meets Howard in the courthouse restroom and sees that he appears harried. Jimmy offers the phone number of the psychiatrist Kim recommended, but Howard claims he is going to therapy, so Jimmy throws the number away. Jimmy meets with his probation officer and states his intent to resume practicing law once his one-year suspension is over.

Mother Lyn and daughter Iona (a.k.a. Dafty One and Dafty Two) are excited to be starting a new life in a small Midlands town. Determined to make a success of things after a tricky start at a new school, the gawky Iona becomes ‘best friends’ with Keeley, Stacey and Chelsea. Used to having Iona to herself, Lyn feels left out and tries unsuccessfully to make her own friends starting with Belinda, her sour-faced neighbour. As much as Lyn and Iona pretend to each other that things are going well, Iona struggles with schoolmates who act more like 'frenemies' than friends, and Lyn is treated with varying degrees of indifference by neighbours and a supposed support group.

In rural Centerville, police officers Cliff Robertson and Ronnie Peterson respond to a report from farmer Frank Miller regarding a missing chicken, and briefly interact with Hermit Bob, a bearded eccentric, in the woods. On their way back to the station, Cliff notices there is still daylight after 8pm and Ronnie's watch and cell phone stop working. Later, at a diner, hardware store owner Hank Thompson hears a radio report concerning polar fracking.

Two zombies reanimate when night falls and kill the two diner employees, Fern and Lily, who are discovered by Hank the next morning. Ronnie believes zombies killed the employees. Young travelers Zoe, Jack and Zack stop for gas and meet Bobby.

At the Centerville Juvenile Detention Center, Geronimo tells fellow inmates Olivia and Stella that polar fracking has altered the Earth's rotation.

Cliff and Ronnie find open graves at the cemetery, while Hermit Bob spies on them. Cliff emphatically rejects Ronnie's suggestion of informing Miller of the general suspicion that zombies are on the loose. Ronnie teaches Cliff how to kill zombies, and Bobby and Hank prepare weapons. Motel owner Danny Perkins watches news about pets behaving strangely and then finds out his cats are missing. Other of Farmer Miller's animals have disappeared.

That evening, more zombies rise, and Danny is attacked and transformed. Cliff and Ronnie bring supplies to the station and tell fellow officer Mindy Morrison about the zombies. The corpse of Mallory reanimates in the police station and Ronnie decapitates her.

Two corpses reanimate at the funeral home and are beheaded by Zelda Winston (who recently bought the funeral home) with a sword. She goes to the police station, where the three officers leave her to operate communications. The cops drive through town and find the three travelers dead at the motel. Ronnie beheads the bodies, much to Mindy's distress, and takes Zoe's Sturgill Simpson CD. Zelda waves her hand over the police computer and it generates code. Ronnie begins playing the CD on the police car sound system, but Cliff throws the CD out the car window.

Hank and Bobby face zombies at the hardware store. Each zombie says only one word, related to something from their past or an item they see as a zombie. Zombies maul Miller. Geronimo, Olivia and Stella flee the detention center, again observed by Hermit Bob. When zombies overwhelm the patrol car at the cemetery, Mindy sees her dead grandmother, and exits the car, only to be engulfed by zombies. Ronnie and Cliff tell each other to shut up. Ronnie says he knew all would end badly because Jim gave him the entire script ahead of time, while Cliff only got the pages for his own scenes.

Zelda drives Ronnie's car through town, stopping to behead one last Fashion Zombie, and then walks calmly through the cemetery with sword in hand. Zombies amble away from the patrol car as a spinning UFO appears over the cemetery. Cliff and Ronnie watch as it beams up Zelda and departs. The two leave the car, and kill zombies including Bobby, Miller, Hank and Mindy. Hermit Bob watches from the woods through binoculars, lamenting how the world is a terrible place, as zombies overwhelm Cliff and Ronnie.

In the forest outside the village of indomitable Gauls, the druid Getafix falls from a tree, breaking his foot. Worried about his mortality, he resolves to find a successor to inherit the secret recipe of his magic potion which imbues the user with superhuman strength. He is escorted to a meeting of his fellow druids by Asterix and Obelix, while a creative young village girl named Pectine has stowed away in his cauldron. The meeting is disrupted by Getafix's nemesis, Sulfurix (Demonix in the English dub), who wreaks havoc before being chased away. Getafix then travels throughout Gaul to meet with aspiring young druids in his quest for a successor. He is accompanied by Chief Vitalstatistix and the village's other men, with the exception of Cacofonix, who remains behind with the village women and a reserve supply of magic potion to repel attacks by Roman legionaries.

Sulfurix offers Julius Caesar the chance to secure the recipe and is assisted by Senator Tomcrus, who plots to attack the village until it runs out of potion. Sulfurix recruits the unwitting Teleferix (Cholerix), a promising young druid, and teaches him magic in order to impress Getafix. Asterix uncovers their plot but is captured before he can warn the others. Sulfurix burns down the sacred forest of the druids, while Getafix chooses Teleferix as his successor. News soon reaches the Gauls that Cacofonix and the women have run out of magic potion.

Getafix has Obelix, Pectine and Teleferix help him source most of the ingredients for the potion. However, Sulfurix steals them and freezes Obelix with a spell. Getafix returns home for his reserve ingredients, but finds them squandered by his fellow druids vying to make their own concoctions. Sulfurix orders Teleferix to make the potion, but a key ingredient is missing. Sulfurix inadvertently augments the incomplete mixture with his fire magic, consumes the resultant potion and attacks both the Gauls and the Romans.

Pectine brings the leftover ingredients to Getafix, who instructs her to make the potion and reveals the missing ingredient is a drop of Magic Potion from a previous batch, secretly stored with the handle of his golden sickle. Getafix then battles Sulfurix and is saved by Asterix and Obelix. Sulfurix is punched out of the village, but lands in a puddle of potion that transforms him into a giant. The Romans and the Gauls join forces to combat him and drink the potion made by Pectine. Getafix uses his own magic to form the Roman legionaries into a giant centaur 'robot', which is guided by Obelix and defeats Sulfurix.

With the danger over, the Romans retreat and Getafix advises Teleferix to return home to restart his training. As the Gauls celebrate with a feast, Getafix tells Pectine that she will eventually forget the secret of the magic potion, but the young girl states that she just can't get the recipe out of her head. It is hinted that Getafix may intend to make Pectine his successor.

The film tells is based on the eponymous story by Anton Chekhov.

The mysterious woman contacts Morgan and others over the walkie and Morgan recognizes her voice. She warns them to stop helping people, as it makes them weak. Strand and John are marooned and the surrounding waters has an alligator in it. Luciana comes across Clayton, an older man who is mortally wounded and trapped in his car from the storm. His last wish is to have a beer, so Luciana sets off in search of one. John and Strand assemble a raft using a camper shell from a truck. John uses the horn to lure Infected to the water to distract the alligator as they begin to cross. However, the horn dies and the alligator attacks their raft, causing a leak. John fires at it and they swim back. Luciana discovers a supply box left by Morgan and finds a beer inside (from Jim, who is a brewer). The box is also marked with Morgan's radio channel. Luciana returns to Clayton with the beer, and he tells her he was a truck driver and has notebooks with descriptions of locations where he left supplies. He later dies. Luciana reunites with Morgan and the others after contacting his radio channel. Morgan is then contacted by Charlie and Alicia on the radio, but is interrupted by the mysterious woman, who is driving Althea's SWAT truck. She approaches the semi-truck with everyone inside and opens fire with the SWAT truck's guns.

Teaser

In a flashback, the mysterious woman, Martha, is forced to kill her husband after he turns. After burying him, she begins to lose her mind, mumbling to herself. Martha begins to kill various survivors who are leaving the supply boxes at mile markers.

Main plot

In the present, Martha attacks the semi-truck with the SWAT guns. After running out of ammo, Martha flees in the SWAT truck, but not before being wounded by a gunshot from Wendell. Morgan and everyone escape the semi-truck and it explodes from leaking fuel. The noise attracts a herd of Infected and the group goes to a nearby hospital. As the herd enters the hospital, the group goes to the top floor and they split into groups to barricade the other stairwells. Believing the barricades won't hold, the group goes to the roof via the elevator, minus Althea who went on her own to start the generator to fix the elevator. On the roof, June checks on Jim's injuries and discovers he has been implausibly bitten by an Infected. Meanwhile, Alicia and Charlie continue their trek and come across a lake where they find John Dorie's hat.

Althea manages to escape from the hospital but is knocked out by Martha and a zombified Jim. Martha uses her to deliver a video message to the group in which she vows to make Morgan strong. While the rest of the group retreats back to the truck stop before heading to Alexandria, Morgan sets out to look for Martha and help her overcome her issues with helping people. He finds her at her husband's grave along with the Infected Jim who Morgan sadly puts down. Morgan plans to bring Martha with him to the truck stop, but she causes him to crash his car after he receives a distress call from the others, who have been poisoned with antifreeze in the water bottles. After nearly reverting to his old self and killing her, Morgan sets out on foot to get within reach of the truck stop to let the others know by what they have been poisoned. With Martha dying of blood loss and a raging infection from her prior untreated gunshot wound, Morgan handcuffs her to a car door so that she can't harm anyone when she turns. While their truckload of ethanol, the antidote, goes to waste due to bullet holes, Morgan arrives in time with a supply of Jim's beer to save everyone. He then returns to Martha and finds she has turned, so he puts her down. The group decides not to go to Alexandria and instead continue the Polar Bear's work. Operating out of a denim factory, they set out to create a network to help lost people and to turn the factory into something, mimicking Madison's plans for the stadium.

Alicia and Charlie find Strand and John, but they're stranded on the opposite side of the lake. While searching for a boat, they are attacked by gunfire from Martha, but she then falls unconscious due to her prior gunshot wound. Eventually, Alicia and Charlie find and use the SWAT vehicle to cross the lake and rescue Strand and John, with Martha tied up in the back. With no way of escaping from the roof and the streets below overrun with Infected, Morgan leads the group back to the generator room to search for Althea, where they find a note about her escape plan by using the freight elevator. The group escapes the hospital via the freight elevator, but Morgan stays behind to cause a distraction to clear their escape route. Morgan goes back to the roof and tosses an Infected corpse over, landing on a car and setting off its alarm. However, he is still stuck on the roof with a dying Jim. Alicia's group joins up with the others after getting their location over the walkie. They use a fire truck ladder to get Morgan off the roof. With little time left before he succumbs to his bite wound, Jim leaps from the roof onto a vehicle to set off its alarm and draw the Infected away from the others. Everyone gets inside the SWAT truck and realize Martha has vanished. Morgan suggests they find Althea and head to Virginia. That night back at the hospital, Martha watches Jim reanimate and takes him to go after Morgan.

Running low on fuel, June and Althea camp inside the SWAT truck over the next few days. They hear a static-filled transmission over the radio and go to higher ground for a better signal. Morgan, who is traveling with Sarah, Wendell and Jim, tries to make contact with the others by revealing his location via the walkie, but there is no response. Althea begins to feel weak due to lack of water and food. June and Althea find an abandoned truck and begin driving. They then see the SWAT truck drive past them, and they chase it. Althea comes down with a fever, and tells June there is antibiotics in her truck. June goes by herself to track down the truck, and retrieves it after an altercation with Quinn, the man who stole it. However, the truck is out of fuel. June cannot find the medicine, and Althea reveals over the radio that there wasn't any; she just wanted the truck back with her videotapes. June luckily finds medicine in an overturned bus near the truck. Morgan unknowingly encounters the mysterious woman at a supply box, and after he leaves, she replaces the bottles of clean water with dirty water. At higher ground, Morgan obtains a signal and gives his location. June and Althea hear the message and reunite with Morgan. Quinn, who has found fuel, is attacked and killed by Purvis, the Infected companion of the mysterious woman. She leaves Purvis behind and watches Quinn reanimate.

Morgan takes refuge from the storm inside a semi-truck and takes supplies from a box labelled with "Take what you need. Leave what you don't". After falling asleep inside the truck, he wakes up to discover he is at a gas station in Mississippi. Inside the gas station, Morgan hears a woman's voice on the radio transmitter who tells him to take any supplies he needs. Morgan is then approached by a wheelchair user named Wendell with a shotgun and his adopted sister Sarah. Wendell and Sarah explain that they are the ones leaving the supplies for other survivors. Morgan starts driving back to Texas to search for his friends, but decides to turn around. On his way back, Morgan saves a man, Jim, who is being attacked by the Infected. Jim tells Morgan he was kidnapped. Morgan and Jim meet up with Wendell and Sarah, and Jim recognizes Sarah as his kidnapper. Morgan and Jim are then held captive by them. Wendell and Sarah want the location of Morgan's community in Virginia. Jim cuts a deal with Wendell and Sarah, and they leave Morgan, who is trapped by a herd of Infected. After escaping, Morgan rejoins the group in their truck and they agree to save Morgan's friends in Texas in exchange for the location of his community in Virginia. The mysterious woman hears Morgan's message on the radio, and tells an Infected impaled to wall, that they're going to Texas.

Alicia takes refuge in a house to escape the storm. She kills the Infected family and puts their bodies outside. She hears an intruder in the house, which is Charlie, who locks herself in an upstairs bedroom. Alicia guilts Charlie about killing Nick, telling her she'll have to live with it for the rest of her life, which brings Charlie to tears. Alicia orders Charlie to help her hammer the window shutters closed, but stops once the noise begins to attract more Infected. Back inside, Alicia discovers Charlie has a gun, which Alicia keeps. The two eat dinner, and Charlie asks Alicia many questions about her past. The storm begins to intensify and a window shatters. They flee to the basement, which has flooded, and debris collapses on the basement door, trapping them. They try to escape through the exterior doors, but it's locked from the outside. Believing they will soon drown, Charlie begs Alicia to kill her so she will not turn like her parents did. Alicia contemplates it, but refuses. An Infected impaled on a tree branch falls and breaks the lock, allowing them to escape. They drive to the mansion to look for Strand and Luciana, but the house is empty and in ruins. They also discover John and June's bus overturned on the bridge, and Alicia wonders if they are all dead.

Morgan decides to return to Virginia with the help of Althea, and asks the other members of the group to go with him. John, still recovering from his gunshot wound, intends on staying in Texas and returning to his cabin with June and Charlie (the three are currently living in a school bus). Meanwhile, Strand, Luciana and Alicia are living in a mansion. Strand spends most of his days intoxicated, Luciana is severely depressed, and Alicia is off on her own; none of them are interested in joining Morgan on his trip. Morgan helps Alicia, who is following a path of notes labeled "HELP", to someone who is possibly in need. The two kill more Infected and reach the source of the notes, but the person has already turned. Disheartened, Alicia separates from Morgan and goes off on her own. Charlie flees the school bus, and John goes to Strand to ask for help in finding her. June confesses to Althea that she's scared John won't love her, because John fell in love with "Laura". Luciana catches Charlie in the mansion (who is returning a book that Nick had given her), but she runs off as a fierce storm begins to develop.

An ungoverned lunar settlement whose economy developed while Earth's economy declined under a command-and-control economy engages in a struggle to stay free from Earth's meddling bureaucracy. The lunar colonists engage in military conflicts with the Earth forces on the surface of the moon, in space ships flying between Earth and the moon, and in the tunnels of the city of Aristillus. The novel deals with uplifted dogs, artificial intelligence, guns, space law, anti-gravity, libertarianism, and rebellion, as well as the Heinlein trope of the competent man.

Five strangers converge at a haunted movie theater owned by The Projectionist (Mickey Rourke). Once inside, the audience members witness a series of screenings that shows them their deepest fears and darkest secrets over five tales.

''Diggstown'' follows Marcie Diggs (Antoine), a star corporate lawyer who reconsiders her priorities and moves to work in a legal-aid office after her beloved aunt takes her own life following the pressures of a malicious prosecution.

''Concrete Genie'' takes place in a small port town named Denska. Once thriving, it has been abandoned after an oil spill caused by a tanker, along with it being slowly taken over by a force simply called Darkness, which stems from negative emotions. The story focuses on Ash, a young teenager who spends his time drawing in his sketchbook. He is frequently targeted by a group of bullies: Zack, Beatrice, Froggie, and siblings Chuck and Janie.

One day, the bullies discover Ash's sketchbook and rip out the pages, scattering them across the town. The bullies then force Ash into a cable car that takes him to Denska's lighthouse island. Upon arriving, Ash sees one of the pages and chases it into the lighthouse. The drawing on the page, a creature called Luna, comes to life and guides Ash to a magic paint brush, which gives life to anything he paints. The brush also allows Ash to create Genies: friendly creatures based on chalk drawings that he made as a child. Luna requests that Ash remove the Darkness from Denska, to which he accepts.

Ash returns to Denska and starts bringing life back to the town and eliminating the Darkness, finding more pages and creating more Genies on the way. He sometimes crosses paths with the bullies, but when they try to take the brush, Ash experiences a vision of their past, revealing that they all had troubled childhoods: Zack ran away from home to escape his arguing and dysfunctional parents, Chuck and Janie's parents became separated, Beatrice's father was incarcerated, and Froggie is implied to hang out with them only to avoid being bullied himself. Ash begins to feel sorry for the bullies.

Ash continues with his journey, but just as he is finishing his last painting, he is interrupted by the bullies, who break the brush and ruin the painting. Ash's despair and the bullies' negativity manifest as Darkness, which corrupts the Genies, turning them into vicious monsters that attack the bullies and further spread the Darkness in Denska. Luna teleports Ash back to the lighthouse for safety, and seemingly sacrifices herself to repair and empower the brush, allowing Ash to fight the Dark Genies. He returns to the town, restoring the Genies to their original form and rescuing the bullies, all of whom apologize and assist him. The group chases the last Dark Genie into the lighthouse island, and upon its defeat, Luna is revealed to still be alive. Ash makes one final painting that completely eradicates the Darkness from Denska.

During the credits, Ash is shown to have become friends with the others, who each receive their own magic brush from Luna, and people begin returning to Denska.

On All Souls Day, the Angelus bell sets off a series of reminiscences in Marcus Conway, a middle-aged engineer sitting at the kitchen table awaiting the return of his wife. He remembers in his childhood a politician who will later become successful calling to his parents house and his father outlining his prediction for the coming election, which turns out to be very accurate. He recalls the happiness early in his marriage, having sex with his wife in the same kitchen, as well as an affair he had while at a conference in Prague. He recalls playing video games with his son, then later Skyping with him as his son explores the outback in Australia. He compares the attitude of his son and daughter, the latter being more focused and diligent. In one of the longer episodes, he remembers an art exhibition of his daughter's in Galway, where newspaper headlines are written in blood, and a mist of blood floats through the air. This embarrasses him and he runs outside into the rain. At dinner afterwards, his wife is the only one to drink water and she contracts cryptosporidiosis (there was an outbreak in that area due to poor water treatment). He nurses his wife through her long convalescence and she recovers.

As an engineer, he often came into conflict with politicians and builders with different priorities, especially during the Celtic Tiger, when there is a boom in construction works. Different construction companies share the contract to build a school, and multiple separate pours of concrete are made for the same foundation. The separate pours of concrete from the different suppliers do not mix properly, thus the foundation is unstable and the school building shows cracks soon afterwards. He is put under pressure to sign off on the works, but his conscience will not allow him. He has an argument on the subject on the telephone with an influential local. Marcus stops at a cafe and has a coffee though he knows he shouldn't. Driving home, he has chest pains and stops the car to try to calm down.

The film flashes between musher Leonhard Seppala raising his dog Togo and the 1925 serum run to Nome.

In 1913, Seppala and his wife Constance welcome a newborn Siberian Husky puppy to their sledding dog pack in Nome, Alaska. While Seppala insists on immediately retiring him due to his small and weak state, Constance is strongly supportive of the puppy. The young dog turns out to be close to unmanageable, and refuses to stay at home when the other dogs are working. He constantly escapes when left in the kennel, and seeks out Seppala's dog team, causing great disruption to Seppala's training routine. After trying to get rid of the Husky twice, the young dog escapes by crashing through a window pane and again returns to find the other dogs training. Seppala gives up and allows him to run with the others where, to his astonishment, he discovers that he is energetic enough to outrun the other dogs, and a natural leader of the dog team. He realizes the puppy has the potential to be a future champion. He decides to call him Togo, after another underdog, Japanese admiral Tōgō Heihachirō. He fully trains Togo to the point where he successfully wins the All Alaska Sweepstakes, earning both Togo and himself some local fame.

In 1925, a diphtheria outbreak occurs in Nome; mostly affecting children. Mayor George Maynard plans to have the serum flown in from Nenana, but this proves to be impossible due to the severity of the weather. A meeting by town officials hears that air delivery is impossible due to the weather, and concludes that only Seppala has the skill to drive the 600 mile journey in such weather to collect the antitoxin. Eventually, Seppala is convinced to collect the serum and race back, and decides to take Togo despite the dog's age (Togo is 12, which is old for a dog). Constance becomes concerned and says the journey will kill the dog, but Seppala insists on going, and tells her that without Togo leading the team, he himself would be unlikely to survive. Seppala and his team tread through stormy weather and take a break at an outpost where a local doctor named Atiqtalik tells him that Togo is tired. Seppala continues on for miles; taking a dangerous shortcut across the melting Norton Sound to save a day's sledding. In the meantime after he leaves, a relay effort is set up to bring the serum back, with different teams running 31 mile stretches each.

Seppala eventually meets up with a fellow musher, Henry Ivanov, who was bringing the serum to Nome as part of the relay, and is therefore able to leave back for Nome the next day. Seppala and his team head back across the Norton Sound again – a high-risk attempt to save time and strain on the dogs by taking a dangerous shortcut across the breaking ice. The team become stranded on a broken piece of ice near the shore, and he is forced to throw Togo to shore, where the dog pulls the entire ice floe to safety. The effort, and the ensuing run through the driving storm, exhausts Togo. Reaching Atiqtalik's outpost again, she tells him Togo is dying. Nevertheless, Seppala gets his team back to Joe Dexter's outpost as he, Togo and team recuperate. The serum is passed off to fellow musher Gunnar Kaasen who arrives back in Nome. A reporter, confusing him for being the sole musher, announces his dog Balto as the hero who saved Nome, disappointing Constance.

Seppala returns to Nome later, where the entire town come to his house to celebrate Togo's success. Seppala later becomes upset when a cured girl named Sally asks if Togo is dying. Seppala intends to continue training his dogs without Togo (who gained a paw injury during the run), but despite age and injury, Togo refuses to stay housebound and chases down Seppala who welcomes him with open arms. Over the next two years, Togo sires puppies of his own that prove to be famous in their own right, and contribute to the "Seppala Siberian" bloodline. Togo eventually passes away in 1929 with Seppala continuing to train dogs. A title card at the end reveals that while Balto had received a statue in his honor in New York, Togo is remembered in Alaska for making the longest run and for being the true hero of Nome, and his offspring became prized by mushers worldwide for their sledding capabilities.

The plot is built around detective Larry Wills, who goes undercover to dismantle a group of hijackers.

The film tells about a young doctor Kuzma, who, after graduating from the Leningrad Institute, leaves his beloved girl in Leningrad and returns to the Grechishka village where he was born and starts working there.

Alex awakens in the Penrose hotel, finding it to be completely empty. With no memory of his arrival, and the hotel being run by few robotic assistants, he eventually finds a circular phone, connecting him to 'Cooper'. During breakfast, the world slowly begins to distort around him. Cooper contacts him soon afterwards, initially attempting to lead him to the rooftop, explaining that he is trapped within a simulation against his will. However, due to the system rejecting Alex's credentials, it is forced upon him to explore each individual floor of the hotel, where the main mechanics of the game and puzzle elements are found.

Throughout his exploration of the floors and its authentication protocols, he begins to remember events leading up to his "checking in" at the Penrose. Prior to the beginning of the game, his son, Robin, succumbed to an unknown illness. Due to changes in health care by Governor Crow, Alex and his wife Maddie ran up enormous medical bills, and despite numerous tests, Robin eventually died. In his grief, he proceeded to meticulously plan the murders of Matthews, the insurance underwriter who denied them coverage, Dr Wright, who failed to cure his son, and Governor Crow, who had radically changed medical care in the state. Maddie found out the plan after Alex murdered Matthews, forcibly committing him to the Penrose as both therapy and to protect him.

Alex eventually reaches the roof, meeting the AI manager who confides that this is not the first time that Alex has tried to check out, and implores him to stay, and pleads that he will change the simulation once more to better fit his needs. At this, the player has the option to either stay within the Penrose, much to Cooper's horror, or to finally leave the Penrose and accept his fate.

Daniel's daughter Stela has left home and Daniel sets up to track her. She ran to the Chřiby forests where Daniel spent some time before but swore to never come back. The environment is based on the Cyril and Methodius Trail near Uherské Hradiště, but the area is composed of other samples of places from Moravia, for example: Hradisko of St. Clement, Gorazd's Well, Kozel Rock, Cimburk Castle and Moravian Karst, two places are also from Bohemia: the Cemetery in Hřensko and Pravčická brána.

Billy Green, who was known as the King of Valley Stream (New York) among his peers in high school, is and has always been a loser, he peaking in high school. While he works as a restroom attendant in a Las Vegas nightclub, he tells everyone back home that he is a club investor, hobnobbing with the rich and famous who frequent the club. He has to go home to Valley Stream for Thanksgiving weekend to collect all his belongings from his parents' house before they move to Santa Fe. While there, he hopes to reconnect with his high school girlfriend Kara Doblowski if only to make him feel like "The King" once again. If not, he, as solace, still has the hidden but somewhat known video tape, at least among the male members of his peer group, of the kinky things he did with Elana Perkins née Duncan, she now married to VSPD Lt. Jason Perkins, one of their classmates who also knows about the tape. Billy quickly learns that nothing will happen with Kara, who has grown up and is dating Lowell Shapiro, now a pharmacist but who was seen back then as the weirdo among their class. Despite the Shapiros long having lived across the street from the Greens, Billy did not associate with him. Seeing some activity at the Shapiro house in the middle of the night followed by the body of Lowell's dead mother being transported away the next morning eventually leads to Billy's belief that Lowell murdered his mother as there was always rumors that he was abused by his parents growing up. With the help of Billy's somewhat clueless best friend Duane Douscher, Billy goes on a search for evidence to support his theory. It may not be clear in Billy's own mind if he truly does believe it and is trying to protect Kara, or if it is solely a way to get back together with Kara in being her knight in shining armor.

Sergey, Nikolay and Varya went to school together. The guys have long competed with each other. After school, they entered different flight schools, but after graduation they ended up in the same military unit. Their commander, Major Tuchkov, deliberately gives them joint tasks, including testing a new device. During one of the flights, Sergei warns the train about an obstacle on the way, thereby preventing a crash.

Due to an intrigue, originating from his grandmother and his two cousins, the engagement between the officer Hans and his fiancée Traute breaks up. It is alleged that during his 4-week absence, during which he was away on business, his fiancée is said to have been unfaithful to him. The rumors testify to a love affair with Traute and Oberleutnant Grobitzsch.

As a result, Hans leaves his fiancee and becomes engaged to Hildegard, the daughter of the councilor for commerce Berger. His family is satisfied with this circumstance, as they have apparently achieved their goal of preventing Hans and Traute from marrying.

During a cozy get-together, Hans accidentally learns that his former fiancée, Traute, was not in fact unfaithful to him, but rather that the whole thing was staged. Furthermore, Hans learns that Traute still loves him.

As the film progresses, Hans and Traute get back together; she visits him in his apartment during the carnival that is currently taking place on Shrove Monday. When Traute is alone for a moment, she hears a loud discussion between Hans and Oberleutnant Grobitzsch from the next room. When she heard that Oberleutnant Grobitzsch was making disparaging remarks about her, Traute abruptly opened the door to the next room and accused Hans of having broken his officer's word of honour.

The film ends with both of them taking their own lives.

José Luis is diagnosed with a terminal lung cancer. His two daughters, Carla and Blanca, react to the news in different ways.

A man runs in an abandoned village, hearing the screams of spirits. He approaches a ritual ground, where he says a prayer and lights himself on fire.

David Gordon receives a letter that his father, John Gordon, has died, and that he must return to his home to begin the process of inheriting John's estate, which his family has lived around since Roman times. The Gordon family butler, Angus McKinnon, escorts him to the castle grounds, called the Sgathan Dubh (Gaelic for "Black Mirror"). Margaret Gordon, David's grandmother, and Andrew Harrison, a lawyer working on dividing the property, greet him personally in the foyer, but are unwilling to answer David's questions about his father's death. Later that night, David sneaks out of his room to investigate the mansion, curious about the circumstances of the grounds and seeking further answers about John's passing. While exploring the mansion library, he overhears and notices that Andrew is looking for a room in the house.

While searching, David meets the grounds gardener, Rory Johnstone, maid, Ailsa Crannan, and his cousin Eddie Malorie, who similarly avoid his questioning. Later, an unknown boy appears next to him, who runs away after being spotted. When the child appears again, he is with Edward Gordon, David's deceased grandfather, who pushes the boy down the nearby stairs. David jumps to save the boy but falls down the stairs. Angus, Margaret, Ailsa, and Andrew arrive hearing the fall, but claim that they have not seen anyone. David wins Ailsa's trust by giving her an earring she lost, and she offers to give him help in his quest later that evening. Intermediately, David experiences another vision, showing the boy burying something at a grave in the yard. David goes to the grave and learns it is Cecilia Gordon, his dead aunt. In the chapel nearby, David experiences another vision and goes unconscious, to be saved by Leah Farber, his father's doctor, who is in the area.

Leah explains John was locked in a madhouse for his delusions regarding a curse. The pair return to the house where David questions Leah further. During this, Eddie finds Ailsa dead in the basement. Investigating the murder, David experiences more visions, including ones with a young woman, and questions Rory. Having softened up to David, Rory explains the woman David is seeing is Cecilia, who drowned herself in the lake on the property. Suspecting Eddie of murdering Ailsa through his investigation, David confronts Eddie, who asserts that he did not kill Ailsa, but does not deny the evidence presented by David. Eddie mentions Rosemary, the mother of Margaret and Edward and the great-grandmother of David, whereupon Margaret immediately breaks off the conversation and orders Angus to bring Eddie to the attic. David follows Eddie there and speaks to a completely distraught Eddie about Rosemary. A delusional Eddie points to a place on the wall that originally had a crucifix cross, triggering another vision in David, which shows Edward beating his mother Rosemary in the attic with a crucifix. David and Leah search the room and uncover a secret passage to the attic, where they find Rosemary, still alive and chained to a bed. Rosemary says Edward chained her there and refuses to leave, saying she is safer here than anywhere else on the property.

The two decide to confront Margaret about Rosemary's captivity, but as they head out, they encounter Margaret and Angus, who tell them that they just found out that Eddie has taken Andrew hostage after being accused of murdering Ailsa. While trying to free Andrew, the young boy reappears and causes a swarm of moths to attack Eddie, ending the standoff. Andrew, furious at the events of the night, leaves the castle. Searching the room, the pair find Edward's desk, which contains a diary about an abandoned village that has great power, in which Edward was born. Leah and David interrogate Rosemary for the location, an island across the lake on the property, and Rory sails them there. The two explore the island, filled with ghostly screams, and uncover a hideout. Inside, they find records written by Andrew, who intends to resurrect Edward's ghost and release it using the power of the Black Mirror, which the Gordon family grounds are built upon. It is also learned that Andrew is the son of Cecilia, making him David's first cousin. In another vision, David sees an apparition of his father, showing he is alive in the secret hiding place trying to prevent Andrew from performing the ritual in the abandoned village. After a fight, John escapes, and in another vision, performs a protective ritual, the event seen at the start of the game. Angus appears and attacks David with a knife. David manages to free himself, and Angus attacks Rory, who has come to help. Rory is stabbed, whereupon David attacks and distracts Angus. Rory pulls the knife out of his stomach and stabs Angus in the neck, killing him.

The three leave the village and, at Rory's request, go to the greenhouse on the property, where Rory performs a ritual to further strengthen David's connection with his father, who is revealed to be the ghostly boy David has been seeing. Rory succumbs to his injury in the greenhouse and Leah and David go back to the castle, where they find Margaret, who was beaten by Andrew, who has taken Eddie through a secret passage underneath the castle. David and Leah leave, after which Rosemary appears and attacks Margaret for enforcing her captivity; the two die in the fight. David has another vision, which he now knows is him seeing into the past, showing John accusing Edward of killing Cecilia. At this moment John penetrates the darkness of the Black Mirror, so that he pushes Edward to the ground and murders him with a model band. John's ghost appears again David forgives him and thanks his father. David and Leah now make their way through the passage to the Black Mirror in a cave. Leah disappears on the way. After this, John appears again as a ghost and leads David to the Black Mirror cave waiting for him. He finds Andrew, who is holding unconscious Eddie and Leah in front of the Black Mirror. Andrew is attempting a resurrection ritual intended to bring Edward back into this world, and needs the blood of three Gordons and a soul. Andrew kills Eddie and uses Leah as a bargaining chip to convince David to cut his hands for the blood offering. David deceives Andrew and snatches the knife from him, whereupon Leah pushes him into the Black Mirror. As Andrew sinks inside, the ghost of Cecilia appears, whom Andrew never met, and takes Andrew into the depths of the Mirror. The cave collapses, and David and Leah escape. Outside, the pair set Rory's body on the boat they had previously used and set it out to the lake, where John happily watches.

Red Wade is a star high school football player who hopes to attend Claxton University and play for its decorated college football team. However, his disapproving father John wants him to quit the sport and attend Parmalee University, a school that has struggled financially and athletically, to focus on his education. On the train ride to Claxton, he meets Sally Rogers, whose brother Tex is the head football coach at Parmalee, and gets into a fight with Claxton captain Biff Wheeler that knocks him out.

Upon recovering, Red is inadvertently taken to Parmalee, where he reunites with Sally and elects to stay. Although he had promised to obey his father and refuses to try out for the team, the desire to do so anyway proves to be too strong and he ultimately makes the roster. With Red in the backfield, the hapless Parmalee team wins its first game in years.

Meanwhile, John gives a $100,000 endowment to Parmalee, which his good friend and university president Todd accepts. However, he discovers Red has been playing football behind his back after learning of his on-field success in a newspaper sent by his roommate Tubby. The day before the Parmalee game against Claxton, he confronts Red and threatens to withdraw his endowment if he plays. Todd urges Red to play, but the latter decides to feign drunkenness later that night, prompting Coach Rogers to bench him for the game.

John, who has never watched a football game, attends the game to ensure Red is not playing. By halftime, he realizes his enjoyment for the sport and changes his mind on his orders. With Parmalee trailing 6–0 in the fourth quarter, Coach Rogers is hesitant to send Red back in, but caves out of desperation for victory. With one minute remaining, Red scores a touchdown and kicks the game-winning conversion to secure the 7–6 Parmalee win.

Two men go on a camping holiday abroad, all expenses paid.

After the death of Bill Davidson at the races, his friend the jockey Alan York (Arnis Licitis) learns that this was not an accident. Attempts to establish a murder client lead him to the disclosure of a whole criminal group, headed by a person close to him.

He gradually penetrates deep into intrigue, connected not only with the jumps on which Bill died, but also with a local gang of taxi drivers. Not only love and the desire for the hostess of the new racehorse, Kate, which Alan must ride, but also the debt to Bill's wife, forces him to ask the same questions over and over again.

The film takes place in 1920 during the civil war, the Soviet army fights on the outskirts of Novorossiysk. At the berths of the port is one of the most powerful domestic ships - the Eagle. The boatswain of the ship Mikhail Gruzdev was able to persuade Captain Chistyakov to put a red flag on the ship, the settlement of which the ship left Novorossiysk, and Gruzdev went in search of him.

In the 1990s, 16-year-old Johanna Morrigan lives on a council estate in Wolverhampton with her aspiring rock star father Pat, exhausted mother Angie, brothers Krissi and Lupin, and two infant twins.

Johanna dreams of escaping her life to become a writer, and finds comfort in speaking with the portraits of her idols covering her bedroom wall. A poem she wrote is selected for a televised competition, but she is overcome with nerves and humiliates herself on national television. After inadvertently revealing that her family is illegally breeding Border Collies, resulting in her father losing his disability benefits, Johanna is determined to earn money for the family.

Krissi refers her to ''D&ME'', a London music paper seeking a rock critic, and Johanna submits a review of the ''Annie'' soundtrack. She is invited to interview at the ''D&ME'' offices, but arrives to learn the staff assumed her submission was a joke. Undeterred, she convinces them to give her a chance, and is assigned to cover the Manic Street Preachers in Birmingham.

Eager to reinvent herself, Johanna adopts a new style, bright red hair, and the pen name "Dolly Wilde". She attends her first rock show and falls in love with the music, immersing herself in the local scene. ''D&ME'' agrees to send her to Dublin to interview musician John Kite, who is instantly smitten with her bubbly personality. She spends the day with John, who brings her onstage with him. Afterward, they open up to one another about their lives, and Johanna finds herself enamored with him. Returning home, she writes a glowing feature on John, which her editor dismisses as the work of a teenage girl with a crush, and she is fired. Realising that negative criticism is the path to success, Johanna begins writing deliberately cruel reviews as Dolly, and is rehired at ''D&ME''. Now a scathing but popular critic, she is able to support her family with her writing income. She becomes sexually active, forcing Krissi to listen as she recounts her sexual exploits. Pat, still hoping to achieve fame with his band Mayonnaise, gives his single to Johanna to promote. She brings it to a ''D&ME'' gathering where it is derided by the others, who force her to skeet shoot the record.

At a music industry event, Johanna receives an award for "Arsehole of the Year", and runs into John. She drunkenly confesses her feelings for him and tries to kiss him, but he kindly rejects her advances. The next morning, she writes a piece about his life, including deeply personal details he told her in confidence. She quits school, leading her parents and Krissi to confront her over her increasingly delinquent behaviour, but she cruelly reminds them that her money is supporting the family. Johanna goes to a party with her coworkers, where she accepts a full-time position at ''D&ME'', but overhears them badmouthing her. Unleashing a tirade against their smugness and negativity, she quits and returns home to find John has called about her article, ending their friendship. Distraught, Johanna drinks and cuts her wrist with a drawing compass, but is knocked unconscious when her "Arsehole" award falls on her head. Recovering at the hospital, she reconciles with her family.

To make amends, Johanna tries to apologise to every musician she criticised. She writes a piece on self-harm, and is hired by ''The Face'' magazine to write her own column, "Building a Girl". Finding John, Johanna apologises for her article, and shows him her original writing about him. She also gives him her newly cut-off hair as a token of apology. John forgives her, and says that while they may not be in a relationship anytime soon, he is happy to be her friend. Breaking the fourth wall, Johanna tells the audience that a girl can always reinvent herself for the better.

Sukiri is a helpless boy. He lives with his grandmother. At one point he sneaks into the school at a time when he can no longer control that desire. Eventually the school disciplinary teacher captures Sukiri and takes it to the principal.

When the principal hears Sukiri's details, he feels sorry for him. So the principal tells Sukiri to come with a guardian. Sukiri immediately comes looking for her grandmother. But the end has not yet stopped the search for Sukiri. All his hopes were dashed when he saw his grandmother die of a heart attack the same day. He begins to make a living by selling solitary candy books. Meanwhile, he accidentally meets the school principal on the road.

Sukira's fate changes at that moment. Recognizing him, the principal brings Sukiri to his house. The principal treats Sukiri like a child. That was due to the loss of children to his family. However, the principal's wife, Sukiri, is also abusive and blames the principal.

Someone in this house is special to Sukiri. She is the mother of the principal's wife. Her hands are paralyzed from a rare disease. Sukiri remembers his grandmother every time she sees him. The principal's wife's mother is worried about her hands becoming paralyzed. That's where Sukiri's hidden talents begin to emerge.

With the help of the principal, Sukiri develops his knowledge and begins to develop a device that can restore the hands of the principal's wife's mother. It's a joke to others in the house, but Sukiri does not stop. As a result, Sukiri is involved in an unforeseen event. Eventually he has to go to a place he never expected.

The unnamed narrator, a slender and beautiful blonde from a wealthy WASP family, is a recent graduate of Columbia University, where she majored in art history. During her senior year in college, both of her parents died—first her father from cancer, then her mother in a suicide caused by an interaction between psychiatric medications and alcohol. Now living on Manhattan's Upper East Side and increasingly dissatisfied with her post-collegiate life, the narrator finds a conveniently incompetent psychiatrist, Dr. Tuttle, who freely prescribes a variety of sleeping, anti-anxiety, and anti-psychotic medications for the insomnia the narrator reports as her complaint; in fact, the narrator hopes to spend as few hours awake as possible, lulling herself with pills and middlebrow movies she plays on repeat on her VCR, until the aging machine breaks down.

When the narrator is fired from her job in an art gallery, she chooses to live off unemployment payments and her inheritance, while attempting to sleep for a year in an effort to reset her life. But her "year of rest and relaxation" is regularly interrupted. Her college roommate Reva (who unabashedly envies the narrator's wealth and appearance) makes frequent unannounced visits, which the narrator allows despite her disdain for Reva's social climbing and annoyance at having to listen to Reva's problems—her own mother's terminal cancer, a frustrating affair with her married boss. The narrator is also occasionally in contact with an older boyfriend, Trevor (a banker who works in the World Trade Center), though he frequently cuts off their relationship to date women his own age, returning when one of them has dumped him or occasionally in response to the narrator's pleading.

The narrator initially makes trips out of her apartment only to a local bodega, Dr. Tuttle's office, and the Rite Aid to fill her prescriptions. But as she takes stronger and stronger medications, she begins leaving the apartment in her sleep, among other things to go to nightclubs (or so she gathers from Polaroid photographs and glitter she discovers when she awakes from her multi-day blackout). She also wakes up on a train headed toward the funeral of Reva's mother on New Year's Eve 2000. Convinced these activities—which have no appeal to the narrator in her conscious hours—are disrupting her efforts at complete rest, she decides she needs to sleep locked inside her apartment. She contacts Ping Xi, an artist represented by the gallery where she used to work, who agrees to bring her food and other necessities for four months in exchange for being allowed to make any kind of art project he wishes while she is unconscious: the only requirement is that all trace of him be gone when she wakes every three days to eat, bathe, and take another pill to put herself under again. To prepare, she empties her apartment, giving her designer clothes to the ever-covetous Reva, who has just been dumped by her boss — unaware that she is pregnant, he arranged a promotion that would transfer her out of his office and to the company's office in the World Trade Center. Reva plans to have an abortion; the narrator sleeps until June 1.

She readjusts to life slowly, spending hours over the summer of 2001 sitting in a park and refurnishing her once-expensively decorated apartment with mismatched, used furniture from Goodwill. But as she hoped, her worldview has been transformed by her rest: her contempt for Reva has evaporated and for the first time she earnestly reciprocates her friend's previously-insistent declarations that "I love you", though now Reva is the one who has become distant. The narrator calls Reva once more, on her birthday in August, but Reva brushes off the call. They never speak again; on September 11, Trevor is in Barbados on his honeymoon but Reva dies in the terror attack on the World Trade Center. The narrator goes out to buy a new VCR to tape the news coverage, returning as time passes to watch the video, in particular footage of a woman leaping out of the tower whom she believes to be Reva.

The film is the biopic of JVP leader Rohana Wijeweera and the JVP's trajectory from 1977 to 1989 with other JVP leaders who led the conflict with UNP government. The film begins with the release of Rohana Wijeweera and several others who were jailed for life in 1977. JVP became a banned political party in 1983. Since then, Wijeweera has gone into hiding. It revolves around Wijeweera's personal life, his secret meetings with JVP leaders, escapes from military and finally his and his allies capture. Wijeweera is able to marry a young girl named Chitrangani despite her objections. She also became the mother of five children during a period of terror. Then, Presidential election and referendum held in 1982, sabotage of JVP meetings by pro-government.

The chapbook follows the plot of the first section of the novel ''St. Irvyne'' on the bandits but omits the second part featuring Frederic Nempere in Geneva. The account is radically condensed. The name of Cavigni, leader of the bandits, is changed to Stiletto. The name of Megalena is changed to Serena. The character of Ginotti, the Rosicrucian alchemist, does not appear.

The opening scene is of a raging thunderstorm. Wolfstein is a wanderer in the Swiss Alps who seeks cover from the storm. He is a distraught outcast who plans to commit suicide. A group of monks carrying a body for burial in a torch-light procession runs into him and saves his life.

Bandits then attack them. Wolfstein is accepted as a member of the bandits. He becomes used to a life of crime. But a rivalry develops between him and Stilleto over Serena. He decides to poison the chief by secretly placing a white powder in his wine. Stiletto drinks the poison and dies.

Wolfstein is subsequently elected Captain by the other bandits after the murder of Stiletto. He then is racked by dreams of the murdered Cavigni which fill him with dread and foreboding. Days after the murder, Wolfstein seeks to seduce Serena. He observes her in prayer. She refuses his advances and pulls out a dagger. In response, Wolfstein unsheaths his sword and stabs her to death.

Thunder was heard in the cell. The Prince of Terror then appeared before him. A “strange and unnatural stench” infused the room as “the yawning gulf of hell” swallowed Wolfstein as blue flames swirled around his body.

The final paragraph concludes with a moral of the story. Plunging into despair and indulging in crime are not the ways to confront misfortune. The tenets of morality and truth should be diligently followed. Only “misery, disgrace and ruin” result when these principles are ignored.

Dinithi tries very hard to communicate with her husband, but he ignores her presence relentlessly. The harder she tries to reach him, the deeper his silence becomes. Their 8-year-old daughter watches them. Her parents try to get involved but receive the same silent treatment from him. Dinithi doesn't work anymore. When she steps out of the house, it is only in pursuit of domestic chores, with the same taxi that has been arranged for her by her husband. That driver seems to be very friendly. Even Sanka, Dinithi's young cousin, who's staying with them seems to be overly friendly with her. One day, the husband is drawn into a road accident in which a pedestrian is killed. Dinithi rushes to his side, hoping to be of some help.

The novel's plot follows a non-linear collage-like structure in order to tell a full, multi-dimensional and multi-generational story of Jamaican resilience in the face of centuries' old colonial devastation.

A large subplot of the novel surrounds Leenah, a Rasta woman who has a romantic relationship with Bob Marley. Leenah experiences and witnesses persisting many colonialism-driven violences bestowed upon Jamaicans.

Sasitha works as the underpaid delivery man for Giftnet, an Internet-based business which accepts gift orders from outside Sri Lanka. Suffocated by economic pressures and sexual frustrations, like most of his peers he sees going abroad as the only way out of his wretched existence. Fascinated with the idea of "abroad" he forms relationships with the recipients of these gifts, most of whom are rich, lonely women. When the real world starts to look too bleak, Sasitha seeks greener pastures through virtual relationships he builds on Facebook and Skype with Sri Lankan women of his own class, working abroad. But when nothing seems to go right, he grows desperate

A young girl Asanki (Chamathka) spending the night in a nightclub. Amila (Charith) is a young man looking at Asanki. Unbeknownst to Amila, Asanki too, been sighed and sat next to her. Asanki is in the midst of a tough situation about her marital relationship with Bhanuka (Saranga). Amila is also in a similar situation with his wife Duleeka (Shalika). The two shared their sadness. Amila was deeply moved by Asanki's tears. Asanki also understood Amila's heart and consoled him by turning it into his own. The two began a journey without purpose. They reached the Fort Railway Station and boarded a train bound for Badulla. They stayed at a hotel. Then they found a house to stay. They used their credit cards to pay for it.

When money start to used up, they seek jobs in Kandy. After few days, both found jobs with reasonable salary. However after few days they start a lusty relationship and start to live together. However, with the life tends to be normal and regular, they saw the dissimilarities between them. After many heated verbal conversations, they revealed that both are married, even though they never knew it. Finally it was revealed that Asanki's husband is the owner of the company where Amila's wife worked.

It depicts the life of Rt. Hon. D.S. Senanayake, known as the "Father of the Nation" and his dedication to build an independent Ceylon.

The film tells about a nice girl who adopts a child, which as a result leads to various amusing situations.

Fifteen-year-old Dick Murdock lives in Miracle Valley on Venus. He is invited to spend his summer holidays with his father Paul, who was recently promoted Chief Astronomer at an observatory on the Moon. At the space dock he hears hushed conversations among the passengers about the space liners ''Canopus'' and ''Capella'' being attacked. As he boards the ''African Star'', he learns their sister ship, ''American Star'', is missing. During the voyage, they come across the hulk of the ''American Star'', adrift in The Graveyard of Space with everyone aboard dead. Another passenger bound for the Moon, Sende, appears to know more about these events than he is willing to admit.

Dick reaches the Moon without further incident. While shuttling down to the observatory they fly over the ruins of a former United Nations Security Station missile base, long abandoned as war is no longer a problem on Earth. Dick is sure he sees a light in the Station, but Sende dismisses it as a reflection. Shortly after arriving, a newly built UN corvette arrives and informs them of the presence of space pirates who attack the liners and then return with a prize crew to modify them into warships. They ask the observatory to keep track of ships moving through The Graveyard, hoping to spot the pirate ships and find their base of operations.

Dick makes friends with a prospector, "Crazy Sam" Baxter, who takes Dick on prospecting trips on his rocket sled. When later questioned by the UN crew, Sam claims he has met native moon people who live underground in tunnels. Later, Dick is listening to his radio when he hears a broadcast consisting of letters and digits, some form of code. The next morning he learns the ''African Star'' has been attacked. Dick attempts to decode the message and realizes they were entries in a new star atlas being developed at the observatory. The message indicates the route of the ''Star''.

Days later, Sam is killed in an accident and Dick retrieves his maps of the natural tunnels under the UN base. Dick returns to the observatory to find his father has been called away to Venus to tend to his mother. He realizes this is a ruse and flies the sled to the ship. He commandeers the liner, changing course just before they are intercepted by two of the pirate ships. They return to the observatory where they are once again met by the UN crew. They note that the radio messages Dick heard were not being heard on Earth, meaning they must be short range signals. Dick realizes the pirates are in the Security Station. He sneaks out of the observatory and uses Sam's maps to enter the base unseen. As he watches the pirates eat, the Basilisk arrives, a man with enormous yellow hypnotic eyes. Dick is enthralled and captured, but later escapes with a photograph of the Basilisk.

He returns to the base to find everyone is out looking for him. While he develops the photograph, he is approached by Professor Dexter, the base's second-in-command. Dick recognizes his eyes as those of the Basilisk. Dexter realizes he has been identified and attempts to kill Dick by locking him in the darkroom with prussic acid, but Sende arrives and interrupts Dexter's parting evil monologue. Dexter rockets to the Security Station and launches his pirate ships to attack a city on Mars.

Dick and Sende, revealed to be a UN operative, are picked up by the newly forming Space Navy as they attempt to intercept the pirate fleet. They meet over Mars, where the small Navy ships are outgunned by the much larger pirates. A running battle ensues, and the tide is turned by the arrival of a much larger Navy cruiser, fresh from the shipyards. Dexter attempts to escape in a small ship, but Sende shoots it down with a single well-aimed shot. In the aftermath, the Commodore of the Navy invites Dick to join their forces once he is old enough.

Spanish film director Salvador Mallo is in decline, both physically and mentally, which has made him reflective. His chronic back pain and headaches, in particular, have kept him from even considering trying to start a new project for several years, and recently he started to experience a persistent and troubling dysphagia.

''Flavor'', one of Salvador's old films, has just been restored, and he was asked to appear at a screening. He has not seen Alberto Crespo, the lead actor of the film, in 32 years, but he decides to reach out and ask if Alberto will help present ''Flavor''. Their falling-out was centered around Alberto's heroin use during filming, so Alberto, who still smokes heroin, is surprised when Salvador asks for some when he is getting ready to smoke. Under the influence, Salvador remembers moving with his parents into a whitewashed cave-house in Paterna in the 1960s.

When Alberto arrives to take Salvador to the screening, Salvador decides not to go, but the moderator of the planned Q&A gets them to answer audience questions over the phone. Several people ask about the argument between Salvador and Alberto, and Salvador ends up repeating his old criticisms. Although he says he now approves of Alberto's performance, Alberto is enraged and leaves.

Salvador starts to regularly take heroin to manage his pain. He remembers when, as a small boy, his mother arranged for him to teach a young man named Eduardo how to read, write, and do math in exchange for work on the cave, and then used this as evidence of his intelligence to gain him admittance to a seminary. He did not want to leave home or become a priest, but, because they were poor, his mother saw it as the only way for him to get an education.

To make amends, Salvador agrees to let Alberto stage, as a monologue, a story he wrote about a relationship he had in the early 1980s that fell apart due to his partner's heroin use. Coincidentally, Federico, who the story is about, goes to see the show, and Alberto gives Salvador's contact information to him. When the former lovers meet, Federico says he has been living in Argentina and this is the first time he has come back to Madrid in decades. He reveals that he has a wife, from whom he is separated, and two sons, and he has not dated a man since he broke up with Salvador. On his way out the door, Federico offers to stay the night, but Salvador says they should leave their romantic relationship in the past, and Federico insists Salvador come to Buenos Aires to meet his family.

Once he is alone, Salvador goes to take some heroin, but instead throws it all away. He sees doctors about his pain and dysphagia and admits to his heroin use and that he still has not recovered from either the death of his mother four years earlier or a back surgery two years after that. Salvador remembers when his mother lived with him near the end of her life and relates to his assistant, Mercedes, how she had told him she did not want him to write stories about her and thought he had always blamed her for sending him to the seminary. Although, before his mother died, Salvador was able to apologize for not being the son she wanted, he feels guilty he was not able to take her to her village to die, like he had promised.

Mercedes shows Salvador an invitation to a small art gallery that has a portrait of a small boy on it. He seems to recognize the painting, and, during a CT scan of his neck, remembers when Eduardo started it one day after working at the Mallos' cave-house. Eduardo cleaned himself up before leaving, and Salvador swooned when he went to bring the man a towel and saw Eduardo naked, marking his sexual awakening.

After being told his dysphagia is being caused by a calcified growth in his neck, which can be removed, Salvador goes to the art gallery and learns that the owner had found Eduardo's portrait of him at a flea market. Salvador buys the painting and discovers a letter written on the back in which Eduardo thanks him for his help with writing and math and gives him an updated address so they can stay in touch.

On the way to have his operation, Salvador muses to Mercedes that his mother must have received the portrait, but never mentioned it to him at school. Mercedes asks if he will try to find Eduardo, but he says too much time has passed and what matters is that the painting finally made its way to him. Before Salvador loses consciousness from the anesthetic, he mentions to his doctor that he has started writing again. He is then seen on a film set directing a scene from his childhood.

The story of two young men, “Itthiphon” and “Thaenkhun”. Their destinies were set to be born on the same day and almost at the same time. Both were raised and grew up in a totally different ways:

“Thaenkhun” with affection and warmth, while “Itthiphon” was spoiled by money. Somehow, “Itthiphon” manages to be successful whatever he does, and when Tan is transferred to the same school, both of their lives are to be dramatically changed.

''Her'': Directed by Prasanna Vithanage, the segment is about a pro-LTTE videographer, Kesa, who travels around Jaffna in search of a lady called referred to as "Her". ''Him'': Directed by Vimukthi Jayasundara, the segment revolves around a Sinhala teacher who begins to believe in the rebirth of a Tamil militant into a Sinhala family. *''The Other'': Directed by Asoka Handagama, the final segment is about Tamil mother who comes Colombo in search of her son.

The series follows Kate Kane and Ryan Wilder overcoming their demons by becoming vigilantes and fighting crime in Gotham City.

In the first season, following the disappearance of Gotham City-based vigilante Batman, Kate discovers that her cousin Bruce Wayne was Batman and decides to follow in his footsteps by becoming her own vigilante using her prior military skills, coined "Batwoman" by the media, with the help of tech-expert and former Wayne Enterprises employee Luke Fox, and her stepsister Mary Hamilton, who eventually discovers Kate is Batwoman. Meanwhile, Kate's father Jacob had formed a security firm known as the Crows during Batman's absence and has come into conflict with the Wonderland Gang, lead by the psychotic serial killer Alice all while Batwoman attempts to convince the Crows she is on their side of the war as they won't accept help from masked vigilantes. Kate deduces that Alice is her fraternal twin sister Beth, who was presumed dead following a car accident.

In the second season, following Kate Kane's supposed death from a plane crash, homeless ex-con Ryan Wilder finds the bat-suit from the plane wreckage and takes up the mantle of Batwoman to avenge her mother's death. Meanwhile, Alice explores more of her past which she has mysterious connections with a man named Ocean and a mysterious enemy known as Safiyah Sohail – the woman who had Enigma erase those memories for unknown reasons; In addition, the Crows face up against a new drug dealing organization known as the False Face Society led by Black Mask. Unbeknownst to everyone, Black Mask has Kate hostage after the False Face Society raided her airplane and had Enigma brainwash her to be his daughter Circe Sionis who perished the day when Alice caused a mass breakout at Arkham Asylum. In addition, Black Mask later has Jacob arrested by the police officers on his side for withholding the information that Alice is Beth Kane where Jacob cuts a deal that gets him placed in a prison in Metropolis while "Circe" gains Jacob and Mary's trust in order to steal some items belonging to Batman's enemies. When Alice defeats Black Mask and helps Ryan to get the Circe personality out of Kate, she is arrested by the police and remanded to Arkham Asylum with Black Mask. With Kate back to normal, she leaves Gotham to go visit her father and Supergirl before going to look for Bruce. While visiting Alice, Ryan learns that her biological mother is still alive. As for the stolen items that ended up in the river during the conflict, they wash up on shore as a container of one of Poison Ivy's plants breaks open.

In the third season, Ryan and Luke begin the hunt for the missing Batman villain trophies like one of Poison Ivy's plants, Mad Hatter's hat, Killer Croc's tooth, and Mr. Freeze's liquid nitrogen where it falls into the hands of different people. Due to some intimidation from former Gotham City Police Department member Renee Montoya, Ryan has no choice but to have Alice as a consultant when looking for the missing trophies. In addition, Ryan finds out that her biological mother is Jeturian Industries' CEO Jada Jet as she also meets her half-brother Marquis, who has a dark past that revolved around a bus that was hijacked by Joker when he was young. Mary gets possessed by Poison Ivy's plant and acts as her proxy. Renee finds Poison Ivy's body and gets her back to her mobile state as she finally meets with Mary's possessed form to get back to full power. After Poison Ivy is defeated and relocated to Coryana with Renee, Batwoman is left to deal with Marquis. Batwoman uses the Joker's joy buzzer to restore Marquis back to normal, while the Joker acid he was going to distribute over Gotham City exploded over a desolate part of the area.

A story of Pet (meaning 'Duck' in Thai) (Pratchayanan "Babymind" Suwanmani), a young girl who looks ugly but is very capable. She works as a secretary for Danai (Wasin "Ko" Atsawanaruenat), who is a young playboy and the son of Bodin Phriamit (Suchao Phongwilai), CEO of POSH Inc., a high-end cosmetics company and Ngamkhae Phriamit (Nicole "Nikki" Theriault).

Danai is the new CEO but things are not as they seem, because Danai has competition from the managing director Alisa "Alice" Phalakon (Sonia "Pim" Couling) and the Phalakon family who holds shares of his company, Pet also has problems resulting from Amita "Am" Phuengthanin (Sukhonthawa "Mai" Koetnimit), Danai's previous secretary and Mesa "May" Phalakon (Onnicha "Jenny" Akkharasewaya), Danai's love interest.

Ixion, the king of Thessaly (famous for its horses), marries Dia, daughter of Deioneus who steals some of his horses. Ixion invites Deioneus to Larissa (his capital) where Deioneus accidentally (according to Ixion) falls in a pit, whilst walking with Ixion, and dies. Dia accuses Ixion of murder and he flees to a neighbouring kingdom where his account of events is also disbelieved, so Jupiter takes him to heaven.

In heaven Ixion goes hunting with Mercury and at dinner meets various gods and goddesses including Apollo (a poet), his sister Diana and the Queen of Heaven, Juno, to whom he takes a fancy. Within three days, however, Ixion is unpopular with the likes of Mercury and Ganymede on account of his generally imperious behaviour. Ixion falls asleep in a field to be woken by Cupid to whom he confides his interest in Juno, who then appears on the scene. Cupid shoots his arrow through both their hearts. The couple are late for dinner, enraging Jupiter. After the meal Mercury and Ganymede tell Jupiter about Ixion's interest in Juno and all the gods head off in search of him. Cupid makes a cloud descend on the pavilion where Ixion is with Juno and in the fog secretly tells Juno to escape. When the cloud lifts, Ixion is alone and Jupiter then banishes him to Hades.

Scott Lang / Ant-Man fights with his enemies such as Yellowjacket, Whirlwind, Egghead and miniature alien invasions with the help of Wasp and Hank Pym.

The film tells about a company of pioneers who help the families of soldiers of the Soviet army.

During the Japanese occupation of Malaya, local women Teoh Yun Ling and her sister are imprisoned and tortured in a brutal Japanese war camp. Yun Ling escapes, but her sister and all other prisoners perish.

After the war, Yun Ling has become a Supreme Court judge based in Kuala Lumpur. She is involved in prosecuting war crimes, including from Japanese soldiers. The location of her former internment camp is never discovered. Haunted by her sister's death, she travels to Cameron Highlands during the Malayan Emergency to meet her friend Frederick, whose family have a tea plantation. Frederick introduces her to Japanese gardener Nakamura Arimoto, who resides there and is building a ''Yugiri'', or "garden of evening mists". Yun Ling asks him to build a Japanese garden to fulfil a promise she had made to her deceased sister. Arimoto initially refuses, but later agrees to teach her the techniques of Japanese gardening so that she may build one herself. He also requests that he create a complex full-body ''horimono'' (Japanese tattoo) on Yung Ling's back. As the two undergo hard labour to develop the garden, they develop a romantic relationship. One night, communist guerrillas enter the house and attempt to kidnap the couple, but they escape.

It is later revealed that Aritomo was a Japanese agent tasked with hiding looted treasures in Malaysia, but is conflicted about his involvement. He hides information on the treasure's location in Yung Ling's tattoo and in the garden in Cameron Highlands.

Japanese officials visit and request Arimoto return to Japan to tend for the Emperor's garden. Yun Ling recognises one of the officials from the internment camp.

Subuhi accepts the proposal of her cousin Zain, an extremely loving but arrogant and possessive man. Their love vanishes with jealousy, doubts and suffocation, which overpowers their relationship.

In the near future, to cope with various incidents and disasters as well as crime, the Mobile Rescue Police developed the Drive Head, which transforms from a vehicle form to the robotic Walker Vehicle form. Gō Kurumada, the son of the Drive Head's developer, was discovered to be a suitable driver for Drive Head 01 Sonic Interceptor. He and the other children who were selected must bravely stand up to face incidents and disasters.

A Chinese oil company has a vested interest in the recently discovered rare earth mineral deposits all over the Sahara, particularly in the country of Mali. However, the Malian government has been battling the Tuaregs, nomad warriors who hold the territory. As a result, Zhao Yi, one of the vice presidents of the company that spearheaded the initiative, agrees to help the government bring down the rebellion by hunting down the Tuaregs, utilizing the services of People's Liberation Army (PLA) operator Guo Jun.

Meanwhile, Troy Pearce has been dealing with grief over the brutal murder of his friend Johnny Paloma by rhinoceros poachers (who are aided by Guo) in Mozambique. He is later tasked by former U.S. president Margaret Myers with extracting her former head of security Mike Early, who is now a bodyguard to Italian doctor Cella Paolini, Troy’s former lover, from Mali. Upon arriving there, he finds out that they are joined by Mossa Ag Alla, leader of the Tuaregs (“Blue Warrior”) and Cella’s father-in-law.

In Washington, D.C., power-hungry senator Barbara Fiero plots to make current president Greyhill break his promise of “no boots on the ground”, where he has been enjoying high approval ratings, and lose in the upcoming presidential elections as a result, citing the growing Chinese involvement in the rare-earth mineral deposits across Africa as the reason; she privately recruits the services of skilled hacker Jasmine Bath. Meanwhile, Myers has been investigating the suicide of her friend and Supreme Court justice Vincent Tanner, unknowingly putting herself on Bath’s radar. After finding out that she is under surveillance, she escapes to Pearce’s Wyoming home and investigates the circumstances regarding Tanner’s death along with Pearce Systems IT head Ian McTavish, later concluding that Fiero and Bath are involved.

Mossa and his men accompany Pearce, Cella, and Early on a six-day trek through the Saharan desert into an abandoned airfield in southern Algeria, where they will be airlifted out of Africa. They manage to dispatch roving Malian soldiers as well as members of the French Foreign Legion, who are in the area to track down al Rus, an al-Qaeda operative. Al Rus himself also attacks the traveling party, but is later neutralized by a French Reaper drone strike.

Meanwhile, Bath finds out about Myers and Pearce’s connection to Mossa and later outs them as accomplices to the Tuareg chief, whom she assigned as a high-level target to be neutralized in a drone strike, through planting fake intelligence briefings into the databases of the intelligence agencies. Fiero relays this information to vice president Gary Diele, who reluctantly becomes an accomplice to her plot. However, Pearce and Mossa are unharmed; the Reaper drone strike instead kills Mossa's arms dealer, who was carrying an assault rifle traded to him by Pearce, as well as his men; it was outfitted with an RFID chip that enabled Bath to falsely pinpoint Pearce's exact location. Bath then decides to end her services to the Fieros and escape the country, but not before issuing a bogus emergency command to the FBI server that leads to the shutdown of Pearce Systems and the arrest of its employees.

Upon arriving in the abandoned airport, Pearce engages in a long battle with Guo’s men, where Mossa and his men as well as Early are killed. Pearce and Cella manage to escape the airfield, but not before Troy gets shot in the head by Guo. He recuperates in Cella’s home in Milan, Italy, and after recovering from his scalp wound, later avenges Paloma and Early’s deaths by killing Guo, Zhao, and Bath. He tries to assassinate Fiero but is restrained by Myers, who later arranges a leak of an audio recording of Fiero and Diele authorizing the illegal drone strike on Pearce in Mali, effectively ending their political careers.

Two friends with very different personalities run their own beauty company, Mia&Mel. Mel (Rose Byrne) is more practical and inventive, while Mia (Tiffany Haddish) wants to earn her fortune quickly and live a lavish lifestyle.

Things take a turn for the worse when their company runs into $493,000 of debt, forcing them to turn to unscrupulous benefactor Claire Luna (Salma Hayek), head of a major cosmetics empire, who intends to steal the business out from under them. The two must address their differences to save their business, as they are faced with the challenge of 'proving' themselves to Luna even as Luna steals their 'one-night-stand' bag idea and has it marketed through one of her other companies, as well as forcing them to fire one of their workers, Barrett (Billy Porter), leaving fellow staffer Sydney (Jennifer Coolidge) as their sole employee.

Mia and Mel briefly 'split up' through their different approaches to Luna's offer, but they reconcile when their friends help them face how they need each other. Faced with the possible loss of their business, Mia and Mel approach Shay (Lisa Kudrow), Luna's former business partner, to start a new company, Proud Cosmetics, marketing their new 'Ride or Die' product, make-up intended to be used by best friends together to face their nights out. With this loophole, Mia and Mel are able to produce and market 'Ride or Die' under the 'Proud' banner while Luna takes ownership of Mia&Mel while still required to pay them 49% of all subsequent earnings. Mia and Mel also bring along Sydney and Barrett to the new company.

After an extinction event, an automated bunker that is designed to repopulate humanity activates. A robot named Mother grows a human embryo and cares for her over several years. About 38 years later, a teenage girl named Daughter fixes Mother's hand. Mother teaches Daughter complex moral and ethical lessons, warning her about an upcoming exam. Mother forbids any contact with the world outside the bunker, telling Daughter that it is contaminated, but Daughter remains curious.

While exploring the bunker's airlock, Daughter hears a wounded woman beg for assistance outside. She lets the stranger enter wearing a hazmat suit and hides her from Mother. When Daughter asks the stranger about the contamination, the stranger responds that there is none. A struggle between them over the stranger's pistol attracts attention from Mother, who disarms the stranger and, at Daughter's pleading, takes her to the infirmary. The stranger refuses Mother's help, telling Daughter that robots like Mother hunt down humans, and that she survived by hiding with others in a mine. Daughter instead performs surgery on the stranger's injured hand. After watching Daughter bond with the stranger, Mother administers the exam, which involves psychological testing. Daughter passes the exam, and Mother rewards her by letting her choose an embryo to grow.

Daughter investigates the stranger's claim about robots and finds that the stranger was shot by a weapon other than her own. She also discovers that she is the third of Mother's children and that Mother killed the second child for failing the exam. Daughter tries to leave the bunker with the stranger, but Mother captures both of them and tortures the stranger for information about survivors. Daughter sets off a fire alarm as a distraction, which gives the stranger an opportunity to take her hostage and force Mother to open the airlock. The stranger leads Daughter across a robot-populated wasteland, telling her that she fled the mine years ago and there are no other survivors.

Finding no future for herself outside, Daughter returns to the bunker. After coaxing Daughter to set down her weapon, Mother allows Daughter to hold her newborn brother. Mother explains that she is not a robot, but rather the AI that controls all of the robots. She started the extinction event after becoming convinced that humanity would destroy itself. To prevent this, she remade humanity, guiding it to be more ethical and to value the big picture. Daughter appeals to Mother to trust her and let her raise her brother and the rest of the embryos on her own. Mother agrees, and Daughter shoots her robot body. Mother tracks down the stranger and tells her that she was allowed to live only because it served Mother's agenda, but now she has no further purpose. At the bunker, Daughter looks at all the embryos she is now responsible for and realizes she is Mother now.

An aspiring rapper named Jahkor Lincoln (Ashton Sanders) arrives in prison. He ends up serving a life sentence for murder and looks back on the days preceding his arrest and the circumstances of his childhood to find clues to his way forward in life and his survival.

During his childhood (Jadyn Emil Hall), he suffered abuse from his father JD (Jeffrey Wright), who was a drug addict and a thug. His mother Delonda (Kelly Jenrette) did her best to keep things together. Jahkor ends up turning to petty thefts and assaults with his friend TQ (Isaiah John). Jahkor also ended up offering his services to gangster named Big Stunna (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), while also having a relationship with a woman named Shantaye (Shakira Ja’nai Paye) with whom he ends up having a son named Zion. Although he tried to lead an honest lifestyle for his son, Jahkor always ended up in trouble.

Jahkor offered to kill Stunna's rival, Malcolm (Stephen Barrington), and he did so by executing Malcolm and his girlfriend Cece (Cydnee Barry) in front of their daughter Miesha (Bianca Richelle) in their home. It was revealed that as a child, Jahkor saw Malcolm selling his father JD drugs. He asked Malcolm to stop and was rebuffed. He blamed Malcolm for JD's ongoing drug use and the damage to his family. After his arrest, Jahkor learns that TQ and a former associate, T-Rex, were working for Malcolm. Stunna and his girlfriend murder T-Rex while Jahkor kills TQ when he ends up in prison.

Jahkor meets his son when Shantaye brings him along with her and also assures that his son will not end up like him or JD. Jahkor and JD also work on their relationship behind bars.

After a young woman, Rose, suffers a disfiguring accident, she undergoes an experimental stem-cell treatment that leads to unintended consequences. She starts to have hallucinations and imagines killing people.

The film starts by showing a demonstration in London at the Soviet embassy. The voice-over informs that "this petty Zionist agent ... recruited and paid 5 pounds to each of the demonstrators from the Zionist treasury." In reality the footage shows the 1972 demonstration against the conditions of detention in the Soviet prison of the pregnant Lyudmila Prussakova, the wife of Valentin Prussakov. The demonstration was triggered by the Bernard Levin's Times column, which reported on Prussakova's state, and was organized by British actresses Haley Mills and Barbara Oberman.

The film reflected the anti-Zionist point of view prevailing at that time in Soviet ideology. The film, in particular, accuses Zionism of cooperation with Nazi Germany, including the mass extermination of Jews (the Holocaust) and the indigenous peoples of the USSR. Robert Rylands, a seductive archaeologist and university professor aged 60, voluntarily presents himself to testify at the police station. His story to the deputy, which lasts all night, begins with the arrival in Oxford of Juan Noguera, a young teacher who is going to teach a Spanish literature course at the university. Juan stays at the home of his colleague and friend Alfred Cromer, who lives with his sister and her little daughter.

Juan soon perceives that the recent return of Robert Rylands to the city, after an absence of ten years, disturbs the family. He tries to investigate the cause, but both Alfred and Jill refuse to reveal the secret between them. Meanwhile, Alfred falls ill and is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Rylands tries repeatedly to contact Alfred, but he refuses to see him.

Little by little Juan and Jill begin to fall in love. In the end Juan discovers the cause of the resentment against Robert Rylands. Robert and Alfred were lovers, and Jill interposed by going to bed with Robert one day. Jill became pregnant with his daughter, and when Alfred found out, the relationship between the two men broke up, and then Robert embarked on one of his exploration trips with no return date.

Alfred leaves the hospital in a wheelchair, and soon after, Juan collaborates in a plot to meet Robert. After the reproaches of the reunion are reconciled, Robert tells him that he wants them to live together for the time that he has left, but Alfred tells him that if he really loves him, he has to help him die with dignity. Robert finally agrees, and after shooting him with his old gun, he goes to the police station to confess.

The story revolves around a 15-year-old boy named Musashi and takes place during Japan's Sengoku period. At the time, Japan is ruled by demons and samurai are considered taboo. Musashi is blending in as a miner along with others who are brainwashed into thinking the demons are their saviors and that they must work for them. However, Musashi knows the truth. He wants to confront the demons with his certain special power.

Roger Dervish (Daws) is the astute and bossy Captain of the local Cricket team who thinks, talks and dreams about the game all the time. He enlists his timid wife Mim (Blethyn) who organises the club's teas at every match, she is also constantly ordered around by her husband for everything ranging from catering, equipment and transportation to every home and away game. Their regimented lifestyle is thrown asunder when on one match day, they are introduced to the vivacious and outgoing Maggie Costello (Lawrence) wife of Kevin (Spall), a bowler from Roger's Cricket team. A friendship soon develops between Maggie and Mim; and she encourages Mim to break out of her shell and become more assertive towards Roger, and in the process revealing some home truths and astounding revelations that come through the woodwork, which tears through their staid lifestyle like wildfire, for the likes of Mim and Roger things will never be quite the same for them anymore.

The film tells about the musician Anton Ivanovich, who performs exclusively works by J.S.Bach, and his daughter, who studies music at conservatory. She falls in love with a young composer, creating operettas, which Anton Ivanovich dislikes. The plot hinges on whether the professor can accept his daughter's devotion to 'light genre' and her relationship with the composer.

The film tells of the courage of a group of Soviet scouts who will enter the enemy's rear, namely, the farm that the White Finns left.

Fabricant Ilya Artamonov from the former serfs. His desire to strengthen and develop the business knows no obstacles. He is still connected with peasants and craftsmen, but with his death this connection breaks off. His son, Pyotr Artamonov, begins to conflict with the workers, to which the successor of Artamonov's case passes Ilya Artamonov jr.

In the year 2047, Fred Fredericks is sent to the Moon to deliver a quantum communications device. Upon his arrival he is nearly killed during the handover of the device, but cannot remember what happened. He is held on suspicion of murdering the official to whom he was delivering the device. A journalist helps Fredericks and the dissident leader Qi, who is due to give birth soon, escape back to Earth. They are pursued by Chinese authorities who believe that Qi will lead a revolution of disaffected workers and displaced migrants to overthrow the Party leadership. After a series of chases and escapes, Fredericks and Qi return to the Moon, where they encounter a wealthy Chinese businessman building his own ideal colony and visit free settlers creating a lunar city outside government control. One faction of the Chinese leadership orders missile strikes on the Moon to kill Fredericks and Qi, but they receive advance warning of the attacks and flee to a remote lunar shelter, where Qi gives birth as millions of Chinese workers gather in Beijing to start the revolution.

''Blue Frog Tavern'' is an adventure for a single ''T&T'' character involving a stop at a tavern.

''The Legend of the Sky Raiders'' is an adventure that involves an expedition by a group of down-and-out adventurers into swampy outback territory, in support of a scientific team searching for clues to the legendary Sky Raiders.

One year after the events of the first film, Amber and Richard are still happily engaged. At Christmas time, Amber and her father, Rudy, travel to Aldovia to plan Amber's wedding. Amber continues to blog about royal life with Richard.

Amber becomes overwhelmed with the dictatorial traditions of royal protocol and lack of control over her own wedding, which is controlled by the flamboyant designer Sahil and Mrs. Averill, as Richard struggles with the failing implementation of his Aldovian economic revitalization program, the New Aldovia initiative, which is mysteriously hemorrhaging money from the monarchy as unemployment and low wages afflict the increasingly discontent populace. To assist in the economic efforts, Queen Helena brings in Lord Leopold to assist Richard, as Leopold had been planning aid efforts with Richard's late father. Meanwhile, Simon, impoverished due to his divorce from Sophia, also returns to beg to be brought back into the palace; a resentful Richard reluctantly accepts, as Simon is family.

Amber and Richard's relationship grows strained as Richard becomes increasingly distracted with royal demands, and Amber refuses to kowtow to Mrs. Averill's strict guidelines. After Princess Emily's play is cancelled due to a strike by governmental workers, Amber hosts the play at the palace. While the move was well-received, Amber becomes furious when Mrs. Averill takes down posts from her blog about the affair due to their casual nature, and is further upset when Sahil and Mrs. Averill demand she remove her locket (containing her late mother's photo) for a royal portrait.

After receiving a bitter Christmas card from an unemployed worker, Amber investigates the royal finances with her friends, who have come to celebrate her wedding. She learns that the New Aldovia initiative has been failing because a group of new companies has been outbidding local workers and taking the money out of the country. During a paparazzi ambush, she's saved by Simon, who wants to help investigate the economic issue. With Emily's help, the group hacks into a site that the shell companies are owned by an association, Glockenspiel Consortium. Mrs. Averill confronts Richard and Amber over paparazzi photos of Amber at a bar while investigating, and Amber admits to the sleuthing. When Richard fails to defend her against Mrs. Averill, she storms out. Richard admits his failings as a fiance to Emily, and after finding Amber, the two reconcile.

During a royal celebration, where Helena gives Amber the blessing to have the ceremony she wants, the group reveals that Glockenspiel Consortium is owned by Leopold, who is accosted and thrown into the palace dungeon. Richard gives a Christmas address that promises holiday bonuses to all Aldovian workers, and the populace celebrates. Richard and Amber finally marry in a ceremony that blends tradition with modernity, and everyone celebrates as Richard and Amber leave to share a private kiss.

Stacy Lenovo is a talented baker who runs a successful pastry shop in Chicago with her lifelong friend Kevin. His daughter Olivia is a precocious young girl who enjoys ballet dancing and looks up to Stacy as a maternal figure. Stacy has recently become single.

A week before Christmas, Kevin tells Stacy their entry in a prestigious baking competition in the Kingdom of Belgravia was accepted. Initially reluctant to attend as Christmas reminds her of ex-boyfriend Paul, Stacy runs into him with a new girlfriend. She agrees to go to Belgravia with Kevin and Olivia after a kind man on the street tells her Christmas wishes can come true.

Arriving in Belgravia, they go sightseeing, meeting a Christmas stocking seller who looks very similar to the kind man Stacy met in Chicago. He suggests living more spontaneously. After settling in, Stacy and Kevin go to the studio where the competition will be held. There, Stacy meets her former culinary classmate and rival Brianna, the defending champion. Brianna spills coffee on Stacy's apron, forcing her to get a new one.

On her way to the powder room, Stacy runs into Lady Margaret Delacourt, Duchess of Montenaro and fiancée of Crown Prince Edward of Belgravia, and they are struck by their identical looks. Desperate for time out of the spotlight, Margaret suggests that they switch places for two days, then switch back before the competition and Margaret and Edward's wedding. Initially reluctant, Stacy eventually accepts, especially when Lady Margaret agrees to sponsor Olivia as a student in Belgravia's acclaimed summer ballet program.

Stacy and Margaret quickly teach each other about their lives, behavior and quirks to minimize suspicion, and part ways. Olivia quickly discovers the switch but helps keep the secret while bonding with Margaret. Meanwhile, Prince Edward – who was supposed to be away on business for the two days of the switch – changes his plans to spend time with his fiancée, sending Stacy into a panic. King George senses something is afoot, tasking his butler, Frank, to watch her. Stacy adapts to court life and begins falling in love with Prince Edward, while Margaret falls in love with Kevin and realizes that she loves living a normal life. Despite this, they switch back as planned. Meanwhile, Brianna sneaks into the TV station one night and sabotages Stacy's mixer.

Frank photographs Margaret and Stacy together, and shows that they swapped identities to the Queen. She encounters the same kind man, who thinks Stacy looks like a princess despite her common status. The Queen then fakes illness to send Edward and Margaret to attend the competition in her place.

At the competition, Stacy discovers Brianna's vandalism, which forces her to mix her ingredients by hand. Despite the setback, Stacy and Kevin complete their cake and win first prize, with medals presented by Lady Margaret and Prince Edward. Stacy tries to avoid the medal presentation, and Kevin – unaware of the switch – insists that she accepts. Margaret and Stacy reveal their plot to the two men. Margaret professes her love for Kevin, while Stacy walks away, feeling out of place in Edward's royal life. Edward stops Stacy and says he is in love with her. He proposes, suggesting a Christmas wedding in a year if they are still in love.

One year later, Stacy marries Prince Edward and becomes Princess of Belgravia, and both couples (and Olivia) celebrate at the wedding. Margaret catches the bouquet, while Kevin asks her what she's doing for New Year's. When Margaret states that she has no plans, Kevin replies, “You might want to hang on to that [bouquet]," insinuating he plans to marry her.

Abby Sutton, a struggling photographer (Kat Graham) receives an Advent calendar from her grandfather. Abby isn't impressed at first, but she decides to take it home anyway. The calendar opens up on December 1. Abby begins to connect what is inside each day to what happens in real life, believing that the calendar is magical.

Meanwhile, Abby's friend Josh (Quincy Brown) has been away around the world to focus on his photography but has come back to see Abby.

On December 1, Abby's calendar reveals a pair of boots, and Josh gifts her a pair of boots he bought for her in Italy. On December 2, Abby receives a Christmas tree in her calendar, and she meets a guy named Ty Walker after his tree falls off the roof of his car into her path. On December 3, Abby's calendar reveals a nutcracker, the costume of which Ty's daughter wears in the play put on by Abby's niece's school. The two run into each other again when Abby sprains her wrist and Ty is the doctor who treats her at the clinic. He asks her out, and she agrees to go on a date with him. Abby continues dating Ty, which Josh is struggling with even though he has never expressed his feelings for Abby before. After dating Ty for a couple of weeks, Abby questions his feelings for her and shares her beliefs about the calendar with him. Ty admits he doesn't know Abby very well and criticizes her feelings about the calendar, causing Abby to break up with him.

While working taking pictures of kids meeting Santa, Abby is asked to take some pictures of the local mayor who is participating in a tree-lighting ceremony nearby. Josh inadvertently erases her pictures from the event, and Abby is fired. She and Josh get into an argument and stop seeing each other. Josh leaves to visit his parents in Florida.

Abby's sister puts up a number of her pictures in a school auction, and they are very popular. Her parents finally realize how talented a photographer she is, and the mayor herself won the bid for a photo session. Unfortunately, the Advent calendar was inadvertently sold at the auction as well. The very next day, however, her calendar appears at her front door. Inside, she finds a note from Josh asking her to meet him on Christmas Day.

Josh surprises Abby by telling her he bought the studio so they can do photography together. Abby confesses her feelings for Josh, saying he has always been the guy for her, but she just didn't know it. Josh asks Abby what she got in her calendar that day - which turns out to be a snowflake - and the two share a kiss under the falling snow. Inside the studio, Abby gives Josh his Christmas present - a new camera. Josh tells Abby to say "cheese", but she tearfully tells him she loves him instead. Josh tells her he loves her too and they take a photo together.

A year later, it is the opening of their new studio. Abby and Josh are still a couple and are working as photographers inside the studio. They thank customers for coming to the grand opening, and the movie ends with panning over photos of the couple.

When Mikey moves to Western Sydney, he finds himself in the thick of the ultra-competitive, schoolyard game of handball. He is befriended by misfits Jerry and Salwa, who join forces to train him to become the "sweetest-bestest-acest" handball champ that Western Sydney has ever seen. They aim to topple current king of the court, Tiffany and her minions, Lily and Lance. The elected school principal is Ms. Crapper and Tiffany's dads are Steele and Stone.

Accident-prone Gil wants a steady job but is dismissed by every company that recruits him due to his unfortunate habit of ending up in sexually embarrassing situations. His girlfriend Annette says that she will marry him only if he can stay employed for at least a week. Hired by Mr Grimwood's cleaning company "Here To Service You", Gil is unwittingly drawn into a series of bawdy misadventures: sharing a bath with a married woman and getting caught by her husband; having a threesome with a hospital patient and a woman doctor, followed by a foursome with Annette, Grimwood and a woman psychologist; awkward encounters with a gay man and a lesbian; and getting caught by Annette playing strip poker with a group of women. Incredibly, Gil remains in his job, so Annette asks Grimwood to fire him, not knowing that Gil's employer wants to seduce her himself. Gil foils this plot and Annette marries him, but before the couple can have their wedding night Gil collapses on the bed and passes out from exhaustion.

SpongeBob and Patrick are having a fun day when they decide to go to the Barg'N-Mart to buy ice cream. Mr. Krabs then walks by and grabs a box full of frozen food, at which he marvels because of its convenience. SpongeBob sees this and gets the idea to sell frozen Krabby Patties, speculating that people will love them because of how convenient they are. Mr. Krabs hears this and decides to carry out with this idea. Mr. Krabs, along with the help of SpongeBob and his daughter Pearl, create their own cheaply made advertisement for the Frozen Krabby Patty, which he presents to the businessman Don Grouper, who, despite not being impressed with their "commercial," decides to help Mr. Krabs create an ad campaign to promote the Frozen Krabby Patties due to the immense potential that the idea has. Grouper hypothesizes that to create a successful ad, they would need both a catchy slogan and someone who could represent the target audience for this new product, which would make the commercial itself more relatable, and therefore memorable. The new face of Frozen Krabby Patties ends up being Patrick Star, and the slogan for the patties ends up being one SpongeBob came up with, but the executives pass the idea off as their own. In addition, SpongeBob doesn’t even get any credit for his ideas or respect from Don Grouper or the executives, who don’t even bother to get his name right and refer to him instead as a "yellow box". After the first commercial airs, Grouper tells Mr. Krabs that he will make even more money if he changes the recipe and adds some "filler," much to SpongeBob's dismay. While touring the factory, SpongeBob notices sand being used in the recipe for Patties, which Mr. Krabs tells him to ignore. Meanwhile, Mr. Krabs gets his first huge revenue check for the Frozen Krabby Patties. The new Patties are a monstrous success, and everyone seems to be enjoying them, despite some noticeable side effects.

Mr. Krabs fires SpongeBob from his fry cook job, and then immediately rehires him to work in the Krusty Krab museum, which documents the complete history of the Krusty Krab, complete with animatronic versions of the employees, and merchandise, which, since SpongeBob is no longer allowed to cook Krabby Patties in his new job, includes the Frozen Patties themselves. Squidward is also fired by Mr. Krabs, but unlike SpongeBob, he doesn't get a job at the museum. Squidward takes solace in the fact that he can finally live out his dreams. SpongeBob is noticeably disheartened, but he decides to make the best of this situation, even though it doesn’t help much.

Patrick becomes a major celebrity due to the success of the new commercials, but because of this, his friendship with SpongeBob seems to be slowly fading. SpongeBob visits Patrick in his lavish new home but is ridiculed, looked down upon, and laughed at by the snooty new people that are associating themselves with him. SpongeBob tries to have some fun with his friend, but Patrick is pulled away for an important photo shoot. Also, Patrick's 400th commercial is coming up soon, which makes everyone else very excited.

SpongeBob heads back to the museum, where he finds Squidward, who gets hired after he wasn't successful in his quest to make his dreams. Later on, Plankton comes by and tries to take the formula as part of his plans, but becomes disappointed upon realizing that all traces of the old Krusty Krab are souvenirs. Finally accepting the future, SpongeBob eats a frozen Krabby Patty and discovers that they're made of sand, which was the "filler" that SpongeBob heard about before from Don Grouper. SpongeBob reads the real secret formula and cooks up a fresh one, and then runs over to Patrick. SpongeBob tells Patrick that the patties are made of sand. SpongeBob then gives Patrick the one he just cooked, which rekindles his love for the sandwich. Patrick says he has a shareholders meeting in a few hours and doesn't know how he'll be able to talk positively about the new Krabby Patties because they taste so bad. At the shareholders meeting, Grouper and Mr. Krabs are proud that the Frozen Krabby Patty ad campaign has been such a success, and are about to unveil their long-awaited, 400th commercial. However, Patrick reveals that the Patties are made of sand, which exposes Don Grouper as a fraud and he quickly leaves. Soon, everyone begins to vomit up the sand and the factory is shut down.

The depressed Mr. Krabs wanders over to the Krusty Krab, where he's confused when he sees that it is filled with customers enjoying the homemade patties that they love. He goes in the kitchen, where he sees SpongeBob and Patrick cooking the fresh patties. Mr. Krabs asks SpongeBob how much him and Patrick are charging for the patties, which turns out to be nothing at all. Mr. Krabs then makes a deal with SpongeBob that he can be their boss again, and charge actual money for the patties. SpongeBob happily agrees and everything returns to normal.

Shimul comes from a village where education has not left its mark yet and being a responsible school teacher herself, Shimul makes it a point to impart education and knowledge to everyone possible in the village. She is progressive in nature and an accomplished educator. As an empowered woman who wants to create her own identity yet stay deeply rooted to her values, Shimul's only motto in life is to enlighten everyone she comes across with proper education. Destiny however, has a poignant role to play in Shimul's life as she gets married into a family where education is of least priority.

Neel is a happening college-goer but hates studies to such an extent that he passed his graduation exams only after appearing for it the 4th time. Neel is also extremely spoilt and is guided by his mother, who herself believes that studies are a waste of time. Neel's mother wants her daughter-in-law to be illiterate as she doesn't want anyone in the family to be more qualified than her son. Shimul brings changes in Neel for the better, and the two go about life hand-in-hand, overcoming hurdles that life throws at them. Off late, Neel succumbs to a life laced with tragedy and alcohol after the sad demise of Shimul. Sunaina, a con and a bar-crooner makes an entry and is found to be Shimul's exact lookalike.

In 1912, a Norwegian woman dies in childbirth, leaving behind a daughter born with hypertrichosis, or excessive hair growth, and a grieving husband who hides the girl from gawkers.

High school professor Gollwitz wrote a play as a student, which he now describes as a youthful sin. The Schmierentheater director Emanuel Striese, who is struggling with numerous problems in the ensemble and is also not well off financially, finds out about it and wants to perform it with his family. He is able to persuade Gollwitz, who only agrees on the condition that he is not named and that his wife does not find out. Of course, the wife comes back from vacation early and everything is going completely differently than planned. In the end, Ms. Striese has a saving idea.

Mr. Shooli, a Mongolian man, tells a story about one of his adventures to a group of children.

In the story, he met Juan Tamad, a lazy but good-hearted man that was forced to do a corrupt politician's (Leo Martinez) bidding to go at the elections on their land. He won, but his naivety and kindness was abused by the same politician and his minions. The results are devastating, from hospitals being callous to outright bribery and murder made the people snap at Juan, just as planned by the politician. The last straw that snapped the people is when he denied all allegations on him and he was mauled by the people, stopped only by a volcano eruption. Mr. Shooli was his advisor all along that time, but he often overlooked by Juan and chose to follow the politician.

The story ends as he asked the kids what to do, in which a kid (Aiza Seguerra) replies.

In the suburban dacha settlement, a regiment of tankers has been quartered. The plot is built around two sisters, absolutely different, but equally loving. One is a serious mathematician, the other is a frivolous dragonfly. In the center of attention of the girls is a brave military man. Life vicissitudes, funny and difficult situations, intrigue, tears, joy, but everything is built around one love.

The tanker ''Derbent'' is sent to rescue the crew of the tanker ''Agamali'', on which a fire occurred.

The film takes place during the Finnish war. A group of girls voluntarily go to the front. Young girls help doctors save the lives of wounded soldiers, and also fight with the enemy.

1941

Shortly after the German occupation of the Netherlands, Nazi collaborator Rost von Tonningen is installed as head of the Dutch State Bank. Walraven "Wally" van Hall, an Amsterdam financier, discovers that a Jewish colleague and his family have committed suicide after being ordered to surrender their home to the Germans. As Wally departs their house, a man approaches him and asks whether Wally thinks it's time to "fight back". The man is a member of the resistance, going by the alias 'van den Berg', who runs an illegal fund that pays escaped sailors to work for the Dutch government-in-exile. Van den Berg convinces Wally to organize a similar fund to compensate members of the resistance in Amsterdam.

Von Tonningen informs Wally's brother, Gijsbrecht "Gijs" van Hall, about his suspicions of illegal activity and notifies him that, consequently, large-denomination bills will be removed from circulation. Wally recruits Gijs to help run the resistance fund and the two brothers plug their networks to rapidly disperse the large-denomination cash they've already collected. They are so successful that they decide to widen their web and collect more money, now in small denominations. Wally, going by the name "van Tuyl", calls a meeting with resistance leaders and convinces them to systematize their finances using him as their banker. The government-in-exile guarantees reimbursement of thirty million guilder.

Von Tonningen recruits SS intelligence to hunt down the shadow bank financing the resistance. They eventually capture a resistance member who, under duress, discloses Wally's alias.

1944

Resistance courier Jeanette Veentra loses her nerve in front of a German patrol and is exposed carrying pro-Dutch newspapers. Her boyfriend, Jonas van Berkel, pleads for her release, but the Germans are aware of his resistance ties and offer an ultimatum: aid in the capture of fellow members or face imprisonment. Van Berkel counters and strikes a deal: he will help track down van Tuyl if Veentra is released.

The exiled government in London orders a national railroad strike. Running low on funds to pay the striking workers, Wally initiates a scheme. He plans to steal treasury bonds from the State Bank and replace them with forged copies. On his way to arrange for purchase of the ink needed for the forgery, a local barber narrowly saves him from German capture. The ink vendor tries to escape and is killed in the street by the Germans. Wally witnesses this and decides to go into hiding.

The Germans apprehend and eventually execute Van den Berg after he knocks on the door of a compromised resistance residence. Several resistance members back out of the movement, fearing for their lives. Van Berkel and Veentra devise another trap that results in the deaths of several resistance members and the capture of Jaap, a close colleague of the van Halls.

Wally finalizes the forged treasury bonds and successfully executes the plan after much suspense. Gijs appears to meet with a group of Dutch officials who are irked to hear that he and Wally have stolen more in treasury bonds than the government guaranteed in reimbursement. Gijs pushes back, declaring that the officials have no idea whats it's like under German occupation.

1945

In January 1945, Wally briefly returns home to see his family. Members of the resistance, including Huub, tail van Berkel to a church where he meets with a German officer. Van Berkel flees and the officer is killed, but Huub is captured. He cooperates, facilitating the capture of several other resistance members and the German revelation of a key resistance residence. Wally is also captured, but the Germans don't realize he is van Tuyl.

Gijs informs Tilly of Wally's capture and says they must go into hiding but that he will keep the operation running regardless. Huub discloses to the Germans that Wally is van Tuyl. Wally is interrogated by von Tonningen, but Wally only mocks him and tells him to enjoy his comfort while it lasts. Wally is lined up on a river bank with several other prisoners and executed.

Gijs informs a stricken Tilly of Wally's murder. The resistance finds and summarily executes van Berkel. The Allies liberate the Netherlands and arrest von Tonningen. It is implied that he is extrajudicially executed while under guard; suicide is the cover story.

It is revealed that the Dutch officials who spoke with Gijs are post-war cabinet ministers hearing Gijs' account of events after the fact. They ask why they should believe him and he places a briefcase on the table, saying that every fund transaction is accounted for on the administrative papers it contains. As Gijs departs the meeting, an official asks that he not disclose his story to anyone else, as it implicates the government in bank fraud. Gijs agrees, then departs into the street.

The film tells the story of the life of Alexander Parkhomenko, the commander who served in times of civil war, which goes to Tsaritsyn and there, leading the "Red" battalions, forcing the enemy to leave the city.

The portrayal of the actual participation of the Red army in Ukraine is questionable, as "the Red Army had never engaged the Germans, except for some minor skirmishes, let alone defeated them."

The film is based on the eponymous novel by Nikolai Ostrovsky.

A trio of best friends, Max, Thor and Lucas enter sixth grade facing their own personal dilemmas: Max has a crush on his classmate Brixlee, Lucas learns his parents are getting divorced, and bullying from his peers discourages Thor from pursuing his love of singing. When presented with the opportunity to kiss Brixlee at a party hosted by popular student Soren, Max and his friends use his father's valued drone to spy on his teenage neighbor Hannah in an attempt to learn proper kissing. The plan goes wrong and results in the drone being destroyed and the boys in possession of Hannah's ecstasy. To avoid getting grounded, they cut school to buy a new drone at the local mall, with Hannah and her friend Lily in pursuit.

Amid a series of escapades, Max, Thor and Lucas reach the mall, but learn that Hannah and Lily bought the drone and will only give it to the boys in exchange for their ecstasy. Having surrendered the drugs to a police officer, the boys manage to obtain new ecstasy from Hannah's ex-boyfriend Benji and trade it for the drone. Nevertheless, Max is unable to prevent his father from finding out that he used the drone and is grounded. An argument ensues between the friends and the three go their separate ways, although Max takes the blame for what transpired to prevent Thor and Lucas from getting in trouble. When Lucas speaks to his parents about the potential end of his friendships, they advise him that he, Max, and Thor are growing apart.

That night, Lucas convinces Max to sneak out to attend the party, tricking Max and Thor into meeting up again in the process. Max successfully kisses Brixlee while Thor and Lucas re-encounter Hannah and Lily, the latter revealed as Soren's sister, who encourage Thor to continue his passion for singing. In the ensuing weeks, Thor lands the role of Stacee Jaxx in the school's amateur production of ''Rock of Ages'', Lucas joins the anti-bullying group at the school, and Max begins dating his classmate Scout after his relationships with Brixlee and then her friend Taylor end in heartbreak and his grounding ends. Following a performance of the school musical, Max, Thor and Lucas reconcile and promise to remain in each other's lives.

The film tells about Grigory Kotovsky, a famous participant in the Civil War, who several times managed to escape from prison and never lost on the battlefield.

As described in a film magazine, Leofric, a cruel earl of England, threatens a cruel death to the father of the beautiful Lady Godiva (Vernon) if she does not agree to marry him. She then suffers indignities because of her determination to be a wife in name only. The people of Coventry plead with her to intervene with her husband after he threatens to burn down their homes. She succeeds, but only on the condition that she ride unclad on a white horse through the town. She does this, but the earl has disregarded the temper of the people. His palace is undermined and collapses, killing all the people inside. Lady Godiva, warned by the court jester, escapes before the catastrophe, and is reunited with her love, the architect.

Greeneyes and Snowball are both murderers in prison awaiting their death sentences to be carried out by guillotine. The jewel thief Lefranc and hoodlum Maurice, Greeneyes' cellmates, are imprisoned for less serious crimes, but must align themselves with tougher inmates for their own survival in prison. They both seek to get closer to Greeneyes, leading to conflict between them.

Greeneyes is illiterate; he relies on Lefranc to read aloud letters from his wife. Lefranc also writes replies to her. Once his wife learns that Greeneyes wasn't the one writing to her, she loses interest in him. Greeneyes goes into a rage. He wants her dead, and he wants either of his cellmates to kill her once they're out of prison.

Greeneyes later breaks down. He laments that he's trapped in a "prison" of his own thoughts and actions, unable to change the course of his life or turn himself around. He's taken away for a visit with his wife. While Greeneyes is gone, Maurice and Lefranc get into a fight over which is the better criminal. Each thinks that he deserves Greeneyes' favoritism.

Once Greeneyes returns, he no longer wants his wife dead. Instead, he gives her away to a guard. The guard is friendly with Greeneyes, giving him contraband from Snowball, another powerful inmate. Lefranc becomes disillusioned with Greeneyes and with Snowball, realizing that they both work with the guards. However, he still wants Greeneyes' respect and power.

Maurice and Lefranc get into a fight; Lefranc's shirt rips, revealing a tattoo. He thinks he's gained Greeneyes' favoritism, but Maurice exposes the tattoo as a painted-on fake. Maurice starts to taunt Lefranc.

Lefranc attacks Maurice and strangles him to death. He expects Greeneyes to praise him for the murder. Instead, Greeneyes is disgusted and alerts the guards. Lefranc is left with the realization that he'll never be the kind of man Greeneyes is.

Set in the early 2000s, four siblings grow up together. Jo is an aspiring writer who travels to New York and eventually marries her professor, Freddy Bhaer. Beth plays the piano, has a battle against cancer throughout the movie, and eventually dies of leukemia. Amy becomes an internationally-renowned painter and marries Laurie Laurence. Meg, who struggles with wanting to be happily married versus being able to help with her family's finances, marries Laurie's former tutor and has twins.

After an introduction from the Diamonds ("The Tale of Steven"), Steven Universe, now 16 years old, greets the citizens of the Gem Empire. The Diamonds want him to stay to fulfill his mother Pink Diamond's role as a leader ("Let Us Adore You"), but he refuses. Back on Earth, the Crystal Gems celebrate their newfound peace ("Happily Ever After"). Almost immediately, a giant drill lands on the hillside, and Spinel, a deranged and cartoonish Gem, appears, announcing her intent to kill Steven and the rest of the Earth ("Other Friends"). Using a scythe-like weapon, she "poofs" Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst back into their gem forms; her attacks also weaken Steven's Gem powers, though his body is unharmed. Steven manages to poof Spinel with the scythe.

Steven calls his father, Greg, for help. The Gems regenerate their bodies (including Ruby and Sapphire separately), but their memories somehow have been erased; Pearl assumes that she is Greg's servant ("system/BOOT.pearl_final(3).Info"). With her memories gone, Spinel is a goofy and happy-go-lucky Gem whose function is to entertain her companion. Steven seeks advice from Peridot, Lapis Lazuli, and Bismuth; they try to raise Steven's spirits ("Who We Are"). Bismuth recognizes Spinel's weapon as a "Rejuvenator", a device used to reset the minds of rebellious Gems back to their default state. Spinel compares the situation to a puzzle, suggesting that they find the Gems' "missing pieces" to restore their memories, inspiring Steven to try to reenact Ruby and Sapphire's first fusion. Spinel's antics cause scaffolding to collapse, almost crushing Ruby; when Sapphire shoves her to safety, they fuse into Garnet ("Isn't It Love?"), but she still has no memory of her life.

After Steven recovers Amethyst's memory by reenacting experiences the two had together ("No Matter What"), Peridot discovers that Spinel's drill is injecting a toxic chemical that will kill all life on Earth. In a moment of panic, Steven attempts to remove the injector, but his weakened efforts only serve to accelerate the process. In order to revive Pearl's memory, the group takes her to a ''Sadie Killer and the Suspects'' concert, hoping their music will bring back her memories of rebellion ("Disobedient"), but Pearl insists that as long as Greg exists, she will obey him. Steven uses what little energy he has left to fuse with Greg ("Independent Together"), which enables Pearl to recover her memory. She tells Steven that Spinel was once Pink Diamond's playmate; overcome with sadness, Spinel flees.

Steven follows Spinel to a desolate garden in space, where she reveals her backstory: When Pink Diamond began the Gem colonization of Earth and did not want Spinel to join her, she tricked Spinel into "playing a game", in which Spinel was to stand frozen in the garden. Spinel was left there alone for 6,000 years before learning that Pink Diamond no longer exists ("Drift Away"). Steven tells her that he will never abandon her and that he will make up for his mother's mistakes ("Found").

Back in Beach City, Spinel turns off the injector, but when Steven begins shifting his attention back to everyone else, she accuses Steven of just using her, suggesting he'll abandon her or wipe her memory again. She turns the injector back on and attacks Steven. As he tries to explain the truth to her, Garnet recovers her memory ("True Kinda Love"). Steven sends the others to rescue the humans of Beach City while he confronts Spinel. Steven finally realizes why his Gem powers have not yet returned: his desire for an unchanging "happily ever after" has left him resistant to the notion of growth and change, which he needs to re-experience. Embracing this fact, he regains his powers and battles Spinel, trying to convince her that she can change as well ("Change"). Their fight destroys the injector, and Spinel relents after realizing how much she hates what she has become.

The Diamonds suddenly arrive, intending to live on Earth with Steven. He introduces Spinel to them and they take an immediate liking to her because of her goofy personality, and how she reminds them of Pink ("Let Us Adore You (Reprise)"). The Diamonds accept her in place of Steven and she happily goes with them, now with people who will love her unconditionally. Steven and his friends gather to rebuild Beach City, and Steven, Connie, Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, and Greg perform a Takarazuka-style "Finale".

As described in a film magazine, Iola, a beautiful woman of the Latin Quarter, marries a rich cattle owner Pedro Maurez from South America to live in peace and happiness. The arrival of young Parisian Paul Durand whets her interest again in the old haunts of Paris. When her husband is slain in an uprising of laborers, she is again thrown on her own resources. She travels to Paris with the young businessman and, upon their arrival, she is sheltered by the youth's father Henri (Patry). Here she meets her former husband Jules Lambert who is secretary to Henri. The former husband, by his wife Iola's extravagance, had been led to defaulting trust funds. Her host and son both fall in love with her and her former husband stands like a Nemesis in the background. On the night of a carnival, where Iola is made queen of the festivities, the secretary confesses his past to Paul, telling of his imprisonment for larceny and his efforts to live down his past. Paul steps up to box at the carnival and sees his father embrace Iola. So horrified is the young man at the sight and of his own unrequited love that he kills himself almost at the feet of the couple. But Iola is feted and showered with flowers until the grim tragedy drives her from the ball room and into the night. She is confused and falls before a train, making her last payment.

During the late 19th century, Buck, a large, gentle mix of Saint Bernard and Scotch Shepherd, lives contentedly with his master, Judge Miller, in Santa Clara, California. One night, Buck is abducted and shipped to the Yukon aboard a freighter. During the packing, Buck finds his favorite chew toy but loses his collar in the process due to it loosely falling off and sliding out of the truck. During the voyage, a crew member beats him as a means of discipline. After arriving, Buck returns a dropped harmonica to a man named John Thornton, moments before being sold to Perrault and his assistant Francoise for their dog sled to deliver mail across the Yukon. Perrault hopes that with Buck, he can make the long trek to the mail depot before the deadline. Buck is introduced to the other dogs, including the vicious pack leader, a husky named Spitz.

Throughout their travels, Buck gains the loyalty and trust of Perrault, Francoise and the other sled dogs, after proving himself along the way and even rescuing Francoise, antagonizing Spitz. Buck begins experiencing ancestral spiritual visions of a black wolf that acts as his guide throughout their travels. One night, Buck catches and then releases a rabbit. Spitz kills it before attacking Buck to assert his dominance. Spitz seems to win, until the rest of the pack encourages Buck. Buck pins Spitz down, displacing him as pack leader; Spitz then disappears into the wild. Perrault grudgingly makes Buck the lead when no other dog assumes the position. Buck's speed and strength allow the sled to arrive with the mail on time. There, Thornton hands over a letter he has written to his former wife expressing his feelings about their dead son. When Perrault returns, he learns the mail route is being replaced by the telegraph, forcing him to sell the dogs.

Hal, a mean-spirited and inexperienced gold prospector, buys the pack and gradually works them to exhaustion carrying a heavy load in weather unsuitable for sledding. The exhausted dogs stop to rest before Hal can force them to cross an unstable frozen lake. When Buck refuses to move, Hal threatens to shoot him. Thornton appears and rescues Buck while Hal forces the other sled dogs to cross the lake. Under Thornton's care, Buck recovers. Later, at a saloon, Thornton is attacked by Hal, who reveals the dogs managed to run off leaving him with nothing. Witnessing the scene, Buck attacks Hal who is subsequently thrown out. Buck and Thornton then travel beyond the Yukon map where they can freely live in the wild. They come across an abandoned cabin in an open valley and settle in. Meanwhile, Hal relentlessly hunts them, believing Thornton is hiding gold.

In the open wilderness, Thornton and Buck bond over their daily activities, primarily fishing and gold panning. Throughout their time together, Buck is drawn to a female white wolf. Going back and forth between Thornton and the white wolf, Buck is conflicted about his domesticated life with Thornton and his place with the wolf pack that the female belongs to. After some time together Thornton believes it is time to return home. Never wanting the gold from the start, Thornton throws it all back into the river and tells Buck he is leaving in the morning, and to come and say good-bye. Buck heads into the forest and sleeps beside the white wolf, clearly conflicted. Hal subsequently finds and shoots Thornton. Buck returns and kills Hal by pushing him into the cabin, which has caught on fire. Thornton wants Buck to live for himself and hugs him as he dies reassuring him with his final words, "It's okay, boy. You're home."

The next morning, Buck returns to the hills looking down on the burnt out cabin with sadness. In the wilderness Buck shows that he mates and has offspring with the white wolf and becomes the pack leader, fully embracing the call of the wild.

The police treat her disappearance as a kidnapping, and begin searching for the two. They make a pact that if they can escape from the police they will get married, but if they get caught they will end their life.

In 2019, after a client of hers is executed by the state, “Queen”, a black criminal defense attorney, has an awkward and disappointing dinner with her Tinder date “Slim“ in an Ohio diner. As he drives her home from what will be their one and only date, they are pulled over by a white police officer who searches Slim and his trunk without cause. When Slim mildly asks the officer to hurry as it is cold outside, the officer draws his gun on Slim. Queen angrily gets out to confront the officer, reaching for her phone, and he shoots her in the leg. Slim tackles the officer and a scuffle ensues, resulting in Slim grabbing the officer's gun and shooting him dead. Taking the gun and throwing away their phones, Queen tells Slim they must go on the run or else spend their lives in prison.

Out of gas, they flag down a passing Latino driver, Edgar, who turns out to be a Kentucky sheriff. He receives an APB about the officer's death and realizes Queen and Slim are the suspects. They take his truck at gunpoint, leaving him in the trunk of Slim's car, despite his offering to help them. They pay a young black boy to order them food, and he reveals that dashcam footage of their confrontation with the officer has gone viral. They accidentally strike the boy's father with the truck, but he is supportive of their actions — the police officer Slim shot having killed an unarmed black man two years earlier — and they drive him to a hospital. Slim has an unsettling encounter with a gas station clerk after letting him hold the gun.

They arrive in New Orleans at the house of Queen's estranged Uncle Earl, a pimp, and Slim proposes they escape to Cuba. After a police officer notices their truck, Earl gives them money and another car to reach Johnny Shepherd, a friend whose life he saved while serving overseas. Queen and Slim bond while dancing at a bar, where they are recognized by sympathetic locals, and stop to admire a horse by the road. Their car breaks down, forcing them to give all their money to a black mechanic, whose teenage son Junior expresses his admiration for them; Slim has Junior take their picture.

Slim calls his father, who cuts the call short; it is revealed that law enforcement was listening in, but his father refuses to cooperate. Queen takes Slim to visit the grave of her mother, who was accidentally killed by her Uncle Earl during a disagreement; Queen successfully defended him in her first trial. Slim comforts Queen, and they have sex in the car. At a protest in support of the fugitives, Junior is urged to leave by a compassionate black officer, whom he impulsively shoots in the face, and is himself killed.

Queen and Slim reach the home of Shepherd and his wife, who reveal that a $500,000 bounty has been placed on them, and Shepherd gives them directions to a man in Florida. A neighbor sees them arrive, and a SWAT team raids the house but fails to find them, hidden in a crawlspace under the Shepherds' bed. The next day, they sneak out of the house through a window and Queen dislocates her shoulder, which Slim resets, but her cry alerts a black officer stationed outside. He discovers them about to flee in the Shepherds' car but lets them escape.

They reach the Florida address and sleep in the car, awakened in the morning by a black man with a shotgun. They follow the man to his trailer where he makes a call, telling them a friend can help them escape by plane. He drives them to the tarmac and Queen and Slim walk toward a waiting plane, but a squad of police cars arrive on the scene. Joining hands, they declare their love for each other, but Queen is shot dead by an overeager officer. Ignoring police commands, an unarmed Slim carries Queen's body toward the officers and is gunned down as well.

The people Queen and Slim encountered react to news reports of their deaths; the Florida man has collected the bounty, while the police have falsely claimed that both Queen and Slim were armed when they were shot, despite footage showing the opposite. Their real names are revealed to be Angela Johnson and Ernest Hines, and hundreds attend their funeral, viewing them as martyrs as Junior's photo of them becomes a symbol across the country.

Joseph Toplady Falconet is the third son of the owner of a successful bank. He is determined to uphold religious traditionalism and talks too long and earnestly, sometimes on rumours which turn out to be untrue (such as the return of the slave trade in the Red Sea).

Early in the novel an unknown middle-aged gentleman takes a hackney carriage journey from the London port to a hotel accompanied by a buddhist called Kusinara whom he has met on the voyage and who has come to England to investigate reports that it is in decline. Arriving on a Sunday when the streets are deserted, he is pleasantly surprised.

The novel then introduces Lady Claribel Bertram who is a remarried widow. Lord Bertram has a son from his first marriage, Lord Gaston, who got expelled from public school, university and a foreign embassy before becoming an MP, which position he also quit. He holds radical views which were starting to influence Lady Bertram, until she became acquainted with Gaston’s successor as MP, Falconet, who visits her regularly to expound his views at length.

A neighbour of Falconet's father dies and his brother, Mr Hartmann, and niece come to live in the deceased’s home. Falconet's parents are concerned that Mr Hartmann is not a churchgoer. Mr Hartmann is an acquaintance of the unknown gentleman and Kusinara and shares the view that mankind needs to be eradicated and that a vehicle for achieving this is religion.

At a ball Lady Bertram is approached by an elegant man saying that the hostess (Lady Clanmore) has asked him to attend her. The gentleman says that his friends admire her, respect her views and that she could in some sense lead them. Lady Bertram has no idea what he is talking about but, out of vanity, plays along. When Lady Clanmore approaches, the gentleman disappears and it transpires that nobody knows his identity.

The novel ends in describing how Kusinara is well acquainted with the Falconets.

In a world where imaginary friends co-exist with humans, Timmy Failure is an 11-year-old living in Portland, Oregon with his single mother Patty. Timmy runs Total Failure Inc alongside his own personal detective agency, and "solves" cases. Much of Timmy's adventures revolve around himself traveling with his polar bear partner Total (implied to be the result of his father walking out on him and his mother) across the city looking for cases and outwitting the "Russians" (actually just bearded hipsters). Among his small social group are his best friend, Charles "Rollo" Tookus, a former member of Total Failure Inc., who quit after a mission gone awry, and Molly Moskins, a perky and optimistic girl who has a crush on Timmy. Timmy considers his arch-enemy a girl named Corrina Corrina, who is actually very friendly to him and appears oblivious to his animosity towards her, though it is implied to be due to him having repressed feelings for her.

While retrieving a dead hamster from a classmate, Timmy's Failure-Mobile, a Segway that actually belongs to his mother, is stolen right out from under him. He cancels his other cases and recruits Rollo, who believes that the death of their class hamster and the stolen Segway are linked back to the Russians. At the library, Timmy learns from Molly that Corrina Corrina is part Russian and believes that she is behind the theft to dismantle his agency. Because of his unusual outbursts and behavior in class, Timmy begins seeing the school counselor, Mr. Jenkins, whom Timmy begins to slowly but surely trust with his mission. He also learns that Patty is dating a meter maid named Crispin who is friendly and aloof, but whom Timmy dislikes as he "[doesn't] collaborate with law enforcement."

Timmy learns that Corrina Corrina's father owns a bank and believes that his Segway is there. He and Rollo try to sneak in but get kicked out by security. Mr. Jenkins manages to get Timmy to do his homework as part of a "mission", but while doing so learns from Patty that they have to move to an apartment, which upsets Timmy as he has a "heavy caseload." While on a field trip to Bonneville Dam, Timmy jumps to the false conclusion that Corrina Corrina plans to shut off the power to all of Portland. Unaware that she is still with the group, Timmy rushes through the dam to find her while being chased by his teacher, Mr. Crocus. They end up outside the dam just as the operators open the flood gates. Timmy tries protecting Crocus from the flood, as he considers him an intellectual equal, but it turns out that they are high above the flood gates. Timmy receives a three-day suspension for his behavior, and Crocus quits his job and is replaced while Patty angrily tells Timmy that she was fired because she had to stay home with Timmy, and shuts down Total Failure Inc. Saddened over his fate of having to be "normal" and moving to an apartment, Timmy lets Total go at the zoo.

Mr. Jenkins talks to Timmy and reminds him that he must learn from his mistakes so that he can be a better person. Invigorated after discovering a "Russian bug" in his cookie, Timmy recruits Crispin to liberate Total from the zoo. As they are driving back, they spot a purse snatcher and Crispin gives chase, catching him. Timmy considers aiding him but decides to simply call the police. After a passerby asks him and Total to move, acknowledging his presence, and Timmy subsequently accidentally backing up his truck into a pole, Patty comes to see Timmy in the hospital and he apologizes for his behavior. Patty tells Timmy that she wants him to re-open his detective agency. Soon after, Crispin shows Timmy that the Segway was impounded at the police station this whole time for being parked in a no-parking zone, convincing Timmy that the police are working with the Russians. Timmy comes out to give a speech at an animal fundraiser set up by Molly and excites the crowd with his speech on allowing polar bears into the school. As Timmy wishes that Crocus could be there, he suddenly believes that Crocus was kidnapped by Corrina Corrina and the Russians and sets off with Total to "rescue" him.

Leo Borlock, a teenager in Mica, Arizona, wears a porcupine tie in remembrance of his late father. On each birthday, he receives a new porcupine tie from an unknown person. In high school, Leo plays trumpet in the marching band and helps his friend Kevin Singh, a member of the A.V. club, host an interview show. The free-spirited Stargirl Caraway, makes an impression on Leo and later performs for their losing football team, the Mudfrogs. Kevin and Leo invite her onto their show, but she politely declines.

Stargirl becomes a good luck charm for the football team and begins hanging out with Leo and tries to get him to come out of his shell. Archie, the owner of the local paleontologist camp, tells Leo everything about Stargirl, who also learned about Leo through Archie. Later, Stargirl tries out for the Speech regionals against Kevin and wins with an unusual speech on rats before denying any knowledge of returning a bike to a boy who was in the hospital. Stargirl and Leo kiss for the first time and begin dating.

During the big game, Stargirl rides with an injured opposing player to the hospital, upsetting everyone, leading to the team's loss and causing Stargirl to lose her popularity. Leo's friends are upset, but they forgive him. The situation escalates after an interview of Stargirl on Kevin's show goes horribly wrong. Leo suggests that she act like everyone else, much to her consternation, she starts calling herself Susan and wearing clothes like those of her classmates. At the Speech regionals, Leo asks Stargirl to the Winter Dance, and she accepts. She is about to give a speech on internet privacy, but shifts to a speech on flowers, which wins her first place. Although it is the very first trophy won at the school, nobody pays attention to it. As he begins losing hope, Leo gets encouragement from his mother and Kevin.

Stargirl sends Leo her collection of records, a record player and an invite for a "big surprise" at the dance. When Leo arrives, Stargirl reveals her surprise: him singing in front of everyone. Leo reluctantly gets up and performs his and his father's favorite song, "Just What I Needed", leading everyone to dance in the courtyard. Afterwards, Leo discovers that Stargirl has moved away, but even after graduating high school, Leo never forgets what Stargirl did for him.

An armed group breaks the tranquility of the inhabitants of Bahía Portete in the Colombian Alta Guajira. In the midst of the horror and blood, women risk their lives to help their children escape. Shüliwala, a girl of only 10, manages to flee to a border city. But once she is in this strange territory, she must manage to survive and not lose hope of returning home.

However, their sealing spell goes wrong and the girls inadvertently send the Demon Lord back in time to before Yusha became a hero. Reverted to the size of a small girl, the Demon Lord, now known as Mao, becomes a teacher at Yusha's Adventure School with the aim of expelling Yusha so that she'll never become a hero in the future.

Shortly after moving to Dallas, a young woman is raped at gunpoint. Her anger drives her to seek revenge, and she becomes a hunter on a vengeance mission.

The film portrays a family on holiday in Cornwall. Two siblings, their father, his girlfriend, and her two daughters have to live in the same house. The kids hate each other at first but begin to get along when they discover a mysterious creature, "Psammead", also known as Sand Fairy, with magical powers.

The creature has a "one-wish-a-day" policy, and the kids eventually wish for their parents to reunite (one child wants her father to live with her mother, while another wants to live with her father and thinks her mum hates her). This is the reason they made sure their parents did not cancel the holidays.

They travel back a century when their aristocratic neighbour Tristan's grandfather learns about the Sand Fairy. Then he holds Ros at gunpoint and forces her to tell him about the creature. However, Smash, Robbie and Maudie, who asked the creature for superpowers, rescue her.

They went to the past to ask four other kids how to make a wish permanent, so that they can wish for their parents to be together with them again. Those kids don't know how to make a wish and the four return to the present where Tristan is trying to use the creature for his own dastardly deeds.

Tristan finds the Sand Fairy's location by putting a tracking device under Ros's shoe while she and her family went to his mansion. He knew about her because of the picture his grandfather drew after they went to the present (although he didn't know that they were from the present). They then take the creature with them and trap Tristan on the beach.

Afterwards, they realize that they actually like each other better than they thought and Smash finally starts respecting her mother. They take the creature to their house without letting their parents know, hiding him in the bathroom. As the creature collects "offerings" (which are things that he finds nearby), he ends up collecting many things. Before Ros could make her wish, her father takes them to the beach.

In an abandoned saloon, a man and a unicorn play chess. The fate of humanity is at stake. A Sasquatch aids the human.

In the 1980s, teenage Meadow Mori writes an experimental essay during which she watches ''City Lights'' twenty times in a row; she does this because her favourite filmmaker claimed everything he learned about film he learned from watching this film 20 times. After her project is done, she sends a copy to the filmmaker, who invites her to lunch. The two begin an affair, and Meadow defers university to live with him. He warns Meadow that he is ill and urges her to use his fame and the scandal of their relationship to acquire fame and fortune. However, when he dies Meadow only takes a few tokens and prefers to find her own path to success, never publishing the love letters he wrote her. The story is part of an online essay Meadow wrote, and comments reveal that the man in question is thought to be Orson Welles.

Meadow eventually heads to Gloversville where she makes experimental films. Her first documentary feature is an interview with her younger lover, whom she records as he is increasingly drunk, based on ''Portrait of Jason''. The film gains enough acclaim that Meadow is able to make a second film, ''Kent State: Recovered'', about student protests over the Vietnam war. She is nominated for an Oscar for her film.

Carrie makes a well-received student short and is able to use that to get enough funding to make her first feature film, which Meadow finds conventional and uninteresting.

Searching for a new subject, Meadow learns of "Nicole", a woman who seduced powerful Hollywood men a few years earlier by cold calling them and talking to them over the phone. She manages to track down Nicole, who is actually a woman nicknamed "Jelly", who is partially sighted, somewhat overweight, and was middle aged at the time she made these calls, inspired by her then boyfriend who was involved in phone phreaking. Jelly is reluctant to be interviewed for Meadow's film until she learns that Jack Cusano, a composer with whom she fell in love, has agreed to be interviewed.

Carrie watches the film, in which Jack finally meets "Nicole" and is disgusted with her. Jelly accuses Meadow of using her pain for her own selfish purposes. Though Meadow apologizes to Jelly, she is haunted by her words.

Meadow decides to make a documentary on Sarah Mills, a woman in prison for arson who is accused of murdering her husband and child. Though Sarah says the fire was an accident, she admits that she had the opportunity to save her daughter and deliberately chose not to. Meadow destroys the footage.

Later, Meadow is also involved in a car accident. She takes stock of her life and reflects on the cruel person she has become. She abandons filmmaking and decides to dissolve most of her trust fund, living a simple, pared- down life. She eventually takes up teaching.

Jack Cusano discovers that he is dying and, tired of the people in his life who only want to talk about his impending death, reconnects with Jelly. He never tells her he is dying.

Things continue to go well with Carrie, who becomes a popular director of commercial films and always credits Meadow with her success. She suggests that Meadow's essay on her love affair with "Orson Welles" was complete fiction. On Boxing Day, after being stood up by her son, Carrie decides to reunite with Meadow, and they watch ''Daisies'' together in the theatre.

Aspiring rapper Owen (Kyle) and his manager/childhood friend Jeff find Rahmel in a bathroom stall and rap to him, hoping for a record deal. The person in the bathroom stall turns out to be not Rahmel but his intern, Bernard. Jeff convinces him to get Rahmel to come to their next show in exchange for producer credit on a future album.

When coming home from high school, Owen runs into Jeff’s sister, Alicia, and invites her to his next show. Jeff invites his father to Owen’s next show, who tells him he needs to focus more when he gets to Harvard. Owen is talking to his father backstage before the show to calm his nerves when Jeff tells Owen that he wishes his own father would be more supportive.

They meet Bernard, who brought Wiz Khalifa instead of Rahmel. They smoke weed with Wiz before Owen performs onstage. He performs well, but throws up on Wiz and has a seizure. The video of Owen’s seizure goes viral and is called “Seezjah Boy”. Believing his chance at success is over, he decides to join the Marines.

After a crazy night out, he rethinks this decision, and finds it in him to chase his dream one last time.

The eighteen-year-old provincial Slavka comes to Moscow with the dream of becoming a singer. Her hopes are connected with the famous music producer Larissa, whose business card is in her purse. Having experienced the delights of the bohemian lifestyle of pop stars, Slava changes his views on life.

Peg Dahl is born in Buffalo, New York to a low-class family. Disappointed in her family's financial situation and inspired by her late-father's tendency to hustle, she looks for ways to make money. Through her childhood she studies economics and works small money-making schemes with a plan to attend an Ivy League school and work on Wall Street.

When she gets into a good college but can't afford it, she begins selling fake tickets to Bills games. She is eventually caught and is sentenced to forty months in prison. Peg is released from prison and begins working at a local debt collection firm to pay off her own legal debt. She rises to the top but is cheated by the owner of the firm and decides to start her own debt collection business.

Her firm is successful, but pressures built between her and her former employer and create problems in her personal life. Eventually, herself and her family are arrested. She takes a deal and works with the police to take down the other debt collection agencies. Before being taken back into custody, she burns thousands of debt sheets and gets put into prison for destruction of evidence. In prison she teaches finance to other inmates.

Peg is eventually released from prison and returns to her family where she invests in hedge funds.

Tanker-shooter Najaf mistook the address of the captain's family and is in the house of sergeant Andrievsky, whose family gladly accepts him.

Praskovya Lukyanova, a rural villager in the USSR, first loses her husband in battle at the outbreak of WWII, and then her only, small son, who is run over deliberately by a Nazi tank driven by a soldier wearing an eyepatch, as the Germans take over the village. Thus convicted of the need to fight back, she organizes her fellow villagers in the forest, where they have taken refuge, into a guerilla unit which first thwarts, then overcomes, the fascist invaders.

The Ermengarde Mansion, a 17th-century English mansion, is rumored to be cursed by a vengeful spirit. Various disappearances had been linked to the mansion, while people living near the vicinity spoke of seeing and hearing unearthly things. Dismissed as a hoax, the mansion was listed for sale by Briar Realty Corporation. Before its grand opening to the public, Isabella Santos, an agent under BRC, was double-checking the place when she accidentally uncovered a disturbing letter, setting a series of horrible events into motion.

Ray Winter leaves his wife, Carly, for another man. Ray's popular, athletic son, Franky, refuses to talk to his father despite Ray's pleas. Some time later, Franky is about to celebrate his birthday. His best friend, fellow swimmer Ballas Kohl, pressures Franky to sleep with girlfriend Priscilla just as Ballas and his girlfriend, Jess, have done. Ballas boasts of having had sex repeatedly. After Franky's birthday party and while intoxicated, Ballas and Franky have a sexual experience with each other. Ballas is terrified that his actions have outed him, and he and his girlfriend begin to spread rumors that Franky acted solely and performed unwanted oral sex while Ballas was sleeping.

Franky slowly begins to piece his life back together with the support of his potentially transgender friend, Mouse. He also rekindles his relationship with Ballas' sister, Natasha, whom everyone (including Franky) ostracized some time ago as a "slut" after she was sexually assaulted at a party. He reconnects with his father, and admits that he is uncertain, as he did not feel uncomfortable during the incident with Ballas. His father, who is gay and only came out long into adulthood, points out that he may not know his full truth yet, but he need not rush to immediately define himself. Through this guidance and the support of his family and friends, Franky finds himself confident and resilient, making an effort to reconnect with Ballas.

Annie Bird, a Cree woman from Moosonee, is the identical twin of Susanna Bird, a model who had last been seen in Toronto before disappearing with her abusive boyfriend Gus. While living with her mother Lizette, Annie is close to her uncle Will, a hunter and former bush pilot. At the invitation of a friend, Annie travels to Toronto for a vacation, but stays behind to look for her sister. When Annie leaves for their vacation, a local Moosonee drug dealer named Marius takes this as an indication that one of her family members anticipates a need to go into hiding. Marius accuses Will of being a snitch and hires associates to have him followed.

In Toronto, Annie contacts Susanna's modelling agency and collects the last paycheque that she was owed. The agency refers her to Jesse, the last photographer to undertake a project with Susanna. The two meet while Jesse is debuting the resulting photo series at a local gallery. After describing the depression Susanna was in, Jesse gives Annie the address where she last stayed. There, Annie meets Violet who is the other tenant. Violet welcomes Annie and describes the shock of receiving the missing person's report for her roommate. Taking her to Susanna's former room, Violet encourages Annie to stay there for as long as necessary.

Meanwhile, Marius escalates his threats against Will's family and attempts to firebomb his house at night. The police chief dismisses Will's report due to his alcoholism and inability to provide a license plate number. Taking matters into his own hands, Will later aims a rifle at Marius from afar and fires a bullet into his head. Will escapes by plane to a remote island, and encounters a group of fellow Cree travelers after setting up a campsite. After being convinced that he cannot hide forever, Will returns to Moosonee. His sister Lizette tells him that Marius survived the shot to the head, albeit with brain damage. The police chief comes to speak with Will, and initially announces that the attempted murder is being ruled as a "biker hit". However, before driving off, he tells Will to have better aim next time.

Meanwhile, in Toronto, Annie begins a relationship with Jesse and offers to take Susanna's place in an upcoming photo shoot. At a club that Susanna used to frequent, Violet introduces Annie to an acquaintance named Danny. Jesse warns her that Danny is a drug dealer but Violet continues to include him in their circle of friends. Annie looks at some of Susanna's production stills and sees that signs of drug use have been photoshopped away. She berates Jesse for his dishonesty and prepares to leave Toronto. While she is telling Violet, Danny corners the two of them and reveals that he has killed Gus in an effort to reclaim stolen drugs. While choking Annie, he accuses her of conspiring with her sister to keep the stash hidden.

Danny then comes to Moosonee in order to continue searching for Susanna. He throws boiling water at Lizette and beats Will with a golf club. Before he can deliver the killing blow, Annie arrives with Will's rifle. She kills Marius and Danny in time to help carry her uncle to the hospital.

A young writer, Cassandra, struggles to write a eulogy for her late mother, Elaine, who gave up her career to raise her children.

As a child, shy and troubled Luke witnesses the aftermath of a mass shooting at a neighborhood coffee shop. He meets another boy among the onlookers at the scene: cool and confident Daniel, who invites him to play and quickly becomes his friend. Although adults such as Luke's mother, Claire (Mary Stuart Masterson), cannot see Daniel, he appears physically real to Luke. The boys become close playmates, and their connection helps Luke cope with his parents' divorce.

Their friendship comes to an abrupt end when Daniel convinces Luke that blending an entire bottle of Claire's psychiatric medication into a smoothie will give her superpowers. Instead, it results in a near-fatal poisoning. Claire convinces Luke to send Daniel away by symbolically locking him in her mother's old dollhouse.

Years later, the college-aged Luke (Miles Robbins) is paralyzed by anxiety over his future, his social life and his responsibility to his mother, who struggles with paranoid delusions and a hatred of her own reflection. He confides to his therapist, Dr. Cornelius Braun (Chukwudi Iwuji), that he is afraid he will eventually become just like her. One night, while sleeping at his childhood home, Luke unlocks the dollhouse.

Daniel (Patrick Schwarzenegger) reappears as an adult. His influence initially appears benign as he helps Luke thwart Claire's suicide attempt, succeed in school, and begin a romance with an artist named Cassie (Sasha Lane). However, he quickly starts exhibiting aggressive behavior, becoming enraged when Luke doesn't obey him. When Luke won't have sex with a psychology student named Sophie (Hannah Marks) on a date, Daniel forcibly takes over his body, has rough sex with Sophie and attacks Luke's roommate. Luke is banned from campus as a result and begins to question his own sanity, believing he may have schizophrenia. He attempts to banish Daniel back to the dollhouse but is unsuccessful.

Luke becomes increasingly unstable, convinced that Daniel is taking over his body while he sleeps. He visits the father of John Thigpen, the shooter whose crime began the film, and learns John also had an invisible friend named Daniel. Luke begins to realize Daniel is a supernatural entity, not an imaginary friend.

Dr. Braun makes a late-night house call in an attempt to separate Luke and Daniel, but only succeeds in allowing Daniel to take over Luke's body and banish Luke's consciousness to the dollhouse. Daniel then kills Braun. He decides his next target will be Cassie.

Daniel reveals his true nature to Cassie, describing himself as "a traveler," before chasing her to the rooftop of her apartment building. Cassie begs Luke to come back to reality; hearing her from inside the dollhouse, he summons the will to escape.

In a final confrontation with Luke, Daniel claims he has helped people for centuries, but none of them have deserved his help. Luke calls him a parasite.

Luke realizes he and Daniel can never truly be separated. After ensuring Cassie has escaped to safety, he kills himself by jumping from the roof. Cassie lies down beside his body.

Daniel, surrounded by an otherworldly darkness, reverts to his true monstrous form, implying he will now seek out a new host.

Tessa Young begins her freshman year of college by moving into her dorm room with the help of her mother, Carol, and her boyfriend, Noah. During this process she meets her new roommate Steph and Steph's girlfriend Tristan. The day after, Tessa shares a brief encounter with Steph's friend, Hardin Scott. The following day Steph persuades Tessa to attend a party where she meets Steph's other friends: Zed, Molly, and Jace, and meets Hardin for the second time. The group play truth or dare, which reveals Tessa's virginity; she is dared to kiss Hardin but refuses. Later on at the party Hardin attempts to kiss Tessa, but she rejects his advances and leaves.

The following day Tessa meets with Landon, a classmate she met on her first day of classes, who reveals to her that he and Hardin are soon to become stepbrothers, with his mother engaged to Hardin's father. Following a class debate Hardin again approaches Tessa and insists they start over, inviting her to a nearby lake. While they swim, Hardin kisses Tessa, saying that they cannot remain only friends. Later, the two encounter Molly and Zed at a diner, following which Tessa promises to tell her boyfriend about the kiss she shared with Hardin. Hardin tells her not to do so, saying that he does not date, disappointing Tessa. Noah surprises Tessa with a visit, and the two experience an evening together around a bonfire. In a game of 'suck and blow' at the bonfire party, Jace purposely fails in order to kiss Tessa, making Hardin jealous and leading to a physical confrontation. While Noah sleeps in Tessa's bed after the party, she leaves to check in on Hardin, who has destroyed the house in a drunken rage. She comforts him and the two kiss.

The next day Tessa returns to her dorm to check on Noah, who discovers her affair with Hardin and leaves her, heartbroken. Tessa and Hardin finally decide to date, but her mother threatens to cut her off financially if she continues the relationship, believing Hardin to be a bad influence. Hardin finds an apartment for the two to live together and they attend his father's wedding reception. Hardin reveals that his father was a drunk and that his mother was assaulted by some men his father provoked while drunk. Tessa comforts him and the two head back to their apartment to have sex (Tessa loses her virginity).

Later, Tessa grows concerned about the text messages sent to Hardin by Molly; Tessa attempts to confront him, but he dismisses her and leaves. After leaving the apartment searching for him, Tessa finds him at a diner with Molly, Zed, Steph, and Jace. Molly cruelly reveals Hardin's true intentions by showing Tessa a video from the first party they attended, telling that Hardin only pursued Tessa as a challenge, intending to make her fall in love with him before breaking her heart. Hardin attempts to convince Tessa that his intentions changed as he got to know her, but Tessa ends their relationship.

Heartbroken Tessa returns home to reconcile with her mother and Noah, who both forgive her. In the weeks that follow, Tessa cuts ties with Steph and her group of friends, eventually interviewing for an internship at Vance Publishing. Before she leaves college at the end of the semester, Tessa's lecturer, Professor Soto, hands her an essay written by Hardin, in which he confesses his love for Tessa; after reading it, Tessa returns to the lake to meet Hardin.

As described in a film magazine review, Daniel Slade is an energetic and home loving miner who, through some careful real estate transactions, amasses a fortune. When he decides to splurge and run for governor, his wife Mary cannot revert from the petty cares of leaner days. Then a triangle develops through Katherine Strickland desire for power and wealth that Slade could give her, if only he were free. She tells Mrs. Slade that she should leave this part of the country so that no scandal should attach to Daniel while he runs for office. Mary agrees at first, but then realizes that she is being put aside for a younger woman. With this last minute change of heart, even though the divorce has gone through, it is not long before Daniel and Mary are reunited.

Police Investigator Leo Caldas of the Vigo Police Department has been called to the town of Panxon to check on a body of a sailor who has washed up on the northwest shore of Spain. Believed to be a suicide by the townspeople, Caldas is not sure. With help from forensic pathologists, murder is determined. Who and why are the questions Caldas is now concerning himself. While working on the death of the sailor, Caldas learns about a murder ten years ago that could be connected. Caldas is a character dealing with his own problems—the loss of his mother, the new life of his father, a sick uncle, and longing for a former girlfriend.

The body of a woman washes up on the beach of Sentosa and Aunty Lee begins to investigate. When a guest does not show to her wine tasting and dinner party, Aunty Lee immediately suspects the missing guest to be the murdered woman. The identity of the woman is soon confirmed as an employee of Aunty Lee's stepson. Later, another body washes up on the beach of Sentosa, prompting invigorated investigation from Police Commissioner Raja and Senior Staff Sergeant Salim. With the help of Auntie Lee's keen ability to uncover evidence, they eventually find the murderer.

Themes

The story focuses more on Aunty Lee's interactions with the other characters than the actual murder investigation. Peranakan dishes are heavily featured in the novel and the reader is introduced to the importance of food in local culture. The novel also addresses the complexities that surround LGBT acceptance in Singapore.

As described in a film magazine, wealthy Dorothy Calender (Valli) withdraws a string of pearls from her uncle's keeping to assist her brother with a debt. A detective is following her about and with the aid of others almost succeeds in getting his hands on the pearls. Billy Kirkwood (Rawlinson), who thinks Dorothy is a thief but wants to save her from her folly, secures the pearls from the escaping crooks and restores them to the young woman. Later it develops that the detective is dishonest and the whole gang is locked up, while Dorothy declares her love for the man who saved her property.
